Staff always helpful and friendly - even helped me with my bags to my room Great value and always great food.
No lifts and that can be a bit of a pian especially if you are staying for a few days and have bags/lap tops with you. No WIFI available
The Crowne Carvery attached to the Innkeepers Lodge was not good. Tables weren't cleared, staff were ignorant and the floor around the serving area was littered with food
great menu, friendly and helpful staff, great location
Small shower cubicle with shower curtain which sticks to you whilst showering, bed not secured to wall so unable to sit up without bed moving
Helpful staff, great value for money, food and drinks were cheap. 10 minute drive to the NEC. Big free car park.
Bar shuts at 11pm. Need a few more staff behind the bar on busy nights.
The location is well placed for access to major road links and the NEC. The hotel is in a pleasant area and I found the rooms clean, well serviced with nice towels and bedlinen. The staff were pleasant, friendly and efficient. The carvery is very good value.
Staff were completely and consistently helpful. Rare level of hospitality and friendliness. Food excellent value too.
The weather but the staff can't influence that !
There was black mould on the bedroom & bathroom windows & went for breakfast and the cutlery & utensil jar filthy
I booked this room well in advance for my mother, I rang the week before to advice that my mother was disabled and would struggle with stairs and they said they could not guarantee a room near the entrance. she was placed on the second floor and had three flights of stairs to navigate, No LIFT. I was disappointed given I had advised the hotel in advance, they did not seem to care.
the breakfast lady was extremely helpful and very pleasant.
the room was a bit dated
good food and pleasant staf
no lift. could do with an update
The comfy bed after my long journey
The dirty shower with the cracked tray, the thrown together food which was cold and dry, the smelly corridors generally just how unclean it was
This is the 3rd time I've stayed as there has always been a warm welcome, tasty breakfast and cosy rooms.
When we got there, they had a problem with electrics in the kitchen and there was no meals. Not their fault naturally, but as a group of ladies we didn't want to venture outside so specifically chose this pub. On this occasion the bathroom floor and shower curtain/tray were 'hairy'. eugh.
Clean Staff rude and very unprofessional Cleaners very professional and polite
Staff rude and unprofessional
breakfast and joyce s attention to everyone
Lovely clean room and friendly staff. Good choice for continental breakfast.
Communal staircases a little tired and carpets worn.
The breakfast was good.
The room was dusty, the bathroom wasn't cleaned very well, hairs in the shower, dirty floor.
Very welcoming staff. Hotel public and private rooms well appointed. Prices in bar and restaurant very good. Excellent continental breakfast included in single room price of £45.00 amazing value. Private free car park. What more can the travelling business person ask?
Great value..easy access to the airport..good food..good friendly staff..basic room but nice and clean..easy parking..good all round hotel
Short distance to NEC
Hotel was very tired need refurbishing, staff slow to react to customer's needs. Not enough bar staff. Evening menu needs more variety. Chips had been kept hot so long they were rock hard. Full English very disappointing, eggs swimming in fat, bacon hard, hash browns cold. Coffee and milk ran out and no staff around to replenish. Had to go and find someone to ask for more milk. Needs a well trained manager to organise staff. No sign of anyone in authority, place seemed to be run by teenagers.
All of it
Beef on carvery, it was quite tough.
One member of staff was great. She was the only one that did any work all night, the 'manager' walked around for a bit then disappeared despite the pub being busy!
Bar staff, including reception girl and the young lady who cleared our table.
The buffet has gone down each year, this year the roast beef that you had to pay extra for you couldn't chew, loads of refunds we handed out including ours. Stained yellow pillows on the bed should of had a pillow protector, rooms & hotel in need of face lift, even if this means charging more per night. Fire alarm went off at 1.45 we all met jn the car park no one came out we were told by word of mouth that the manager had been called and was on his way. Not long after we were let back in we were told by the manager that there wasnt a problem, apparently the fire brigade only come out if the manager phones them. He said there wasnt a fire and we could all return to our rooms. (He thought someone had been smoking in their room). Quite a few of us weren't happy about this no rooms were checked, and it seemed just to be passed off, its a big old pub/hotel if feel that the Fire Brigade would of given everyone more confidence than a manager checking the board. We have been going to this hotel for the last 4 years this will be our last visit.
Location to the NEC
Being woken up at 2.15am in the morning due to the fire alarms going off. After going out from the fire escape down to the car park, we waited a least 1/2 hour before a person came and ask us to sit in the Bar. Then a 'lad'(not known his potion) came in his car to check the controls. He said that he did not have to call the fire brigade because he 'THOUGHT' that somebody had been smoking in their room, and we could go back up.This is surely not the procedure of a fire alarm going off in a Hotel? We area couple in our 60's one of us has bad hips, and the other has a Heart Condition, and found that there was not a lift, and we were on the top floor, this should have been advised on your advert. Unfortunately the breakfast was not good either. We require your comments on this.
Bed was uncomfortable, and room was hot but it is the warmest October that I have known
The room was ample for us, The carvery was great value for money, The location was 15 mins from Airport . Quality of sleep was good Would use again in spite of the comments opposite
The only disappointing thing was that the message to the night porter that we were leaving at 4:30 AM didn't happen ( we were assured by the check in girl who booked us in on the Sunday afternoon ) and we had no complimentary breakfasts
