Just 5 minutes from Tamworth centre, The Tamworth Arms is a traditional English pub with a popular restaurant and selection of real ales. The colourful rooms have modern, en suite bathrooms.

Staff very helpful, excellent food plus delicious breakfasts. Clean/Warm Rooms.
Didn't like location of room. Up several flights of stairs. Low/sloping ceilings in places. Extremley creaky floorboards plus very noisy toilet system that vibrated through the whole area until the system had filled up! Feel as if these bad points let the premises down!
The people were very friendly and efficient and I would consider the food and drinks very good value.
Whilst the bathrooms and beds were very clean, everything else felt a little neglected... lots of cobwebs on the ceilings and dust on the furniture etc...all a bit tired looing but comfortable all the same.
ideal location for NEC, town seems a nice & friendly place. bar and full English breakfast if required.
the last night, tired from a busy day we decided to eat at the hotel, all over hotel are pictures of fish and adverts for fish & chips. It was Friday night. we ordered fish & chips, sorry no fish said the barmaid. just over the road was a Morrisons, down the road about 100 yards was a Tesco, you would think someone at the hotel would have thought to buy from one or the other.
the facilties of being able to have a good carvery without having to go out
only the lack of WiFi
Great location for visiting the NEC. Great food. Excellent value for money.
I have mobility & breathing problems and find stairs difficult. When I book I always inform the hotel of my problems. On my 3 previous visits here I was given a room on the 1st floor which I could manage. However, despite having booked 3 months in advance and informed the hotel of my problems, I was given a room on the 2nd floor down a long corridor about as far from the hotel reception as was possible. As a consequence of this, I struggled with my luggage, having to have help from hotel staff & even another hotel guest. Very disappointed with the hotel for not taking into account guests special requests.
Carvery and breakfast, but would have liked the cooked breakfast in the price of the room. Friendly staff.
Unable to shower in the morning, as there was no water coming from it!!!!!! Mattress was much too soft, as we rolled into each other all night, and too low for me as a disabled person to get out of Bed without assistance.
Joyce at breakfast was a revelation. She made our day. If more places understood the importance of a smile and customer service like Joyce does, the world would be a better place and hotels would make more money. Thank you Joyce !
clean room friendly staff food excellant
The food and drink in particular. Easy parking.
No heater in the bathroom, shower did not work properly after about 45 seconds.
Convenient car park at rear
Service, food, rooms,
Almost every about this awful place, tatty decor, smelly room (cabbage from the carvery) bar smelt of stale beer, tatty decor in rooms, desperately in need of updating, breakfast service at weekend, lack of items on cooked food on breakfast buffet that had run out. Most importantly the response to my complaint from the hotels Assistant Manager.
Stayed here for 3 nights and was exhibiting at the NEC, Staff were very friendly and pleasant, room was clean and bed was perfect. Couldn't recommend any where better for the price.
Hearing people using the toilet in adjacent room; noise in corridor of people leaving at 5am; total lack of hot water in the shower at 7am despite turning the thermostat beyond 30 degrees!
was able to check in early and staff were really friendly location is great and price is quite reasonable easy to park right out the back and rooms were quite modern
the bathroom was very cold and the shower didnt really get very warm
Location. Quilt and pillows.
Nothing it was the worst 'hotel' I have ever stayed in. Freezing room when we arrived. Dirty grey net curtains with fags burns in. Freezing bathroom floor. Room smelt of cabbage from the carvery bar smelt of stale beer. Had to pay extra for cooked breakfast, no bacon, no eggs, waited so long we went to get coffee while waiting, no coffee, so got refund. Staff didn't seem to care, never again, terrible place.
The room was adequate with a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom. The night porter (a very helpful lady) was kind, polite and efficient.
We arrived Christmas eve to be informed that no breakfast would be served due to the dining room being set up for Christmas Day lunches. A Bag of breakfast items would be delivered instead. It duly arrived and we snacked in our room on Christmas Day morning from our plastic cups of juice and cartons of instant porridge. Not quite what we had in mind for Christmas day but it was fine and there was enough food. When we arrived back at the hotel Christmas day evening around 10 pm the room had not been serviced, there were no hotel information brochures in our room (106) on how to contact reception and the lounge area was locked so I had to knock doors until the night porter came to help find us clean towels and coffee and milk. She explained that it was only skeleton staffing over Christmas. If we had known that we wouldn't have chosen to spend Christmas there. We needed to remain in the Midlands but chose not to extend our stay at the Swan. It was disappointing that at no point between booking and arriving at the Swan were we advised that our stay would be compromised by skeleton staffing. They should make it clear upon accommodation enquiries that the Swan's Christmas priorities are not the lodge residents but the lunch time trade. Disappointed!
The personnel, the comfort and cleaniness, location and food -- all excellent
Location in coleshill. Good choice of pubs and restaurants nearby. Close to birmingham. Very clean. Good breakfast.
Lock on door was a little stiff. Nothing else was bad
Lovely carvery dinner!
The Buffet The bed was comfy
Good position. Staff friendly. Rooms clean. Food very good.
The smell at back entrance was offputting. The sofa bed was painfully uncomfortable to say the least !!!
Clean Comfortable Room
WIFI has a restriction on what you can surf.
Proximity to NEC and Coleshill High Street with some great Asian restaurants. Good taxi price and service, too and from NEC.
Poor customer service on arrival. Kept waiting with luggage directly in front of evening diners, while available staff chatted with customers at adjacent tables. Poor continental breakfast offer, with later guests not having tabled drinks/food available replenished! Car parking bays very tight for larger vehicles.
I enjoyed the fresh breakfast
I didnt like leavin it was a really pleasent stay
Good clean bedroom and bathroom and no noise from pub below. Good continental breakfast included.
Over a busy pub and carvery. Unfortunately the smell of old cooking on the (40!) stairs up to the room was foul. It did improve as you ascended. Poor security between the pub and rooms, anyone could have wandered in.
