Clean room Quiet Facilities of the restaurant Breakfast Staff
Cleanliness ...every day the room was cleaned perfectly !
All good ....
Everything!!! the staff, Joan, Kirsten, Rebecca, Jason and others who made the stay a home from home. Excellent carvery and breakfasts, nice large room. Our second stay of this holiday, hopefully it will not be our last!
Bed could have been firmer.
Thanks to Joan, Marie, Jason and all the other staff who made our stay really pleasant. Even though we arrived 2 hours early our room was ready and we could check in, which was a breeze thanks to Jason. Joan and her staff made every breakfast delicious, and the carvery is guaranteed to help you put on pounds! Five stars all round! We were returning customers, and we will return again.
Nothing really, possibly a firmer bed.
The location was good. Very easy to find, with lot of shops near by.
The staff were disinterested. The room did not look like the cosy photo on the website. The continental breakfast had a limited selection. The lighting in the room needs to be better.
Room was clean & comfortable, just required for a couple of nights but fitted the purpose very nicely. Continental breakfast very adequate.
Quiet at night. Fast wifi.
Smell of smoke in bedroom. Poor choice continental breakfast.
Rooms were clean and tidy, a value for money hotel without any pretentions. The continental breakfast was good and it has an option to upgrade to a cooked breakfast at a reasonable cost. This hotel is also close to the motorway with ample parking.
This didn't matter for us, but one would have to drive, or get a bus/taxi to get into Birmingham.
location was good room cleanliness was excellent and quite good value.
staff wanted to charge £3.99 for upgrade from continental breakfast to full english and that was each person and yet a person off the street would only pay £3.99 so not a bargain for us, continental breakfast was poor and we had to ask for bowls and fruit juice as there wasn't any. service was slow and the staff seemed to be unhelpfull and miserable.
- bus stop in front of the guesthouse - free parking - helpful staff
- noise of the pub (in the evening and the morning) - smell of kitchen waste on the corridor
We liked everything at the Innkeeper's Lodge. location, friendly staff and atmosphere. We had dinner in the carvery which is part of the below the inn and one of the best Toby's we have visited, again staff were really helpful and friendly. We would stay again in Birmingham.
There was a small problem with bed linen which was quickly rectified when we brought this to the attention of the manager.
Everything we asked for was never a problem,Room was very adequate and well stocked, continental breakfast included but bit surprised we were never asked to upgrade to full english and add the cost to our bill.
our room had to encounter a large set of stairs quite difficult to negotiate with a 3year old and all the luggage required. Did have to put the kettle on to a higher table as it was quite an attraction for a small child.
The Value The restaurant and bar below The patio area and pub area The food was reasonable The beds were very comfortable
staff were unhelpful and almost rude
We chose this hotel for convenience to our relatives who live nearby.
Was unable to sleep on the bed and spent the whole night in the chair. We had a disabled room as we suffer from painful joints so my wife found the hard bed extremely painful on her pelvis.
Very Quiet, Carvery was good value for money and continental breakfast superb. Good location to bus stops, ample free parking.
The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable.
Price Cleanliness of room Size of room Breakfast Pleasant staff
Old mattress. Had to sleep on quilt and use quilt from sofa bed to make the bed more comfortable. No soap in shower Toaster not working properly WiFi hit and miss
Good location, easy to get to the Motorway. Room was ok.
Complimentary breakfast was poor. Bananas looked like they had been there for days, very poor selection of food. Staff looked disinterested in getting more milk, orange juice and other items. Pretty poor overall. Also fire alarm went off at about 3 45 am with no real explanation why!!
Staff v friendly
One room v noisy - couldn't sleep. Dirty crockery at breakfast
Fab staff very helpfull! Room clean and spacious with good facilities!
The fact you have to go all through the restaurant and bar with luggage and wait at the bar to check in waiting a while in busy periods! People being served drinks etc and we were still waiting to check in!
Very clean and comfortable place to stay, staff lovely, easy to fine, good location and food was lovely :-)
Had a 5month old baby and had to carry pram up very narrow stairs as no lift :-(
Size and cleanliness of room. The continental breakfast.
Musty smell in all the hallways. Very hard pillows. Unable to link to Wi Fi
