Staff Food Room especially ensuite
Outside lighting dull
Spotless, light and airy room. Plenty of space. Comfy beds. We had a lovely stay
Everything was what we wanted. No issues at all.
The food looked OK The drinks were fine The room was OK The location Handy for cheshire zoo Friendley
The food was far to exspensive The drinks were far to exspensive The room was small The walls of the room not sound proof You could hear someone on the toilet in another room,,not good!!
Great location, friendly staff, excellent quality and competitively priced.
Friendly staff and service.
Location-interesting to be beside the canal and within walking distance of the city centre(40 minutes) Food excellent for our evening meal
We had no access to Free Wi-Fi
Single Room. Small but good for one night. Check in swift and easy. Bath and shower. Nice base for canal walks or a stop off if you are drifting by on a narrow boat.
Noise - some sort of extractor fan from the main building - went on past midnight which was annoying. Rooms separate from main building. Front access seems to be left unlocked through the day. Right next to the canal and canal path - not the most secure.
Fantastic place nice and quiet on the canal lovely friendly staff very helpful the food was great had a great break would definitely come again
Not having full breakfast included in price
Great location, lovely garden, very quiet we had a good nights sleep. Good continental breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff. Very clean and the annexe room and bathroom was lovely.
We stayed in a room in the annexe - the room was very hot in July although the staff were very helpful and provided a fan when we asked.
Loved staying here, it was set in a stunning location, the grounds and beer garden were immaculate, lovely canal walk next to it, the hotel was lovely, I would definitely stay here again, staff were so friendly and lovely.
We arrived later than expected due to late ferry. However, the staff bent over backwards to give us all we wanted and even brought our food to the room. room lovely with view of canal.
lovely place, friendly staff, good rooms with plenty of space .
rooms could do with aircon as very warm we had a fan which helped .
location on the canal, being able to eat outside
The staff have forgotten our dinner order and at the end did not have what we ordered
Amazing and friendly staff, could not be more accommodating.
Most of your staff are A1
Staff drinking double gins and serving customers.staff drinking at the bar the going into the kitchen. Bar lady cleaned bin behind the bar did not wash her hands served drinks. Staff loud when drinking need to choose the appropriate language after all your hotel is serving the public.
we enjoyed the canal side setting and the country surroundings, excellent food and helpful staff
some options on the menu were a little pricey
canal side location and sunshine
not enough staff to look after packed evening on a sunny Wednesday
Location to park and ride to city centre. Facilities, food and friendly staff
Location, good choice of eating areas inside and out
Poor WiFi room too hot
Friendly staff and clientele. Excellent location, next to lovely canal walk. Great garden area for the kids to play.
Room was quite hot (stayed during July).
Young lady who greeted us had a lovely friendly and professional approach. We were able to book in although a little early. She was very knowledgeable about the area and asked if the room was acceptable, which it was. Good menu selection and value for money food, well presented and served. Breakfast was a very good version of a continental serving. Lovely setting too and very nice outside space and seating. Our room was in the annexe and was really very well decorated and pleasant.
Pimms Eton Mess dessert was disappointing but sorted quickly. Carpet in restaurant/breakfast room had a lot of food debris which looked like it was from the previous night and a bit off putting at breakfast. Taps/shower connection didn't work to have a bath and although shower worked the temperature fluctuated between very hot and cold(reported on leaving)
The staff were brilliant the location was outstanding a lovely place to stay
The room was very hot i asked the manager for a fan within. the hour we had one the manager was excellent
Location is very good next to the canal and the facilities for eating outside on a warm night are also very good. The bar food was excellent - a good choice and served hot and continental breakfast equally good
Disappointing coice of real ales - infact only one was on the night we stayed. Unfortunately the rooms were sweltering as a result of the very hot weather but the provision of a large fan in every room would have been a big help.
