Nice room clean and tidy
Breakfast was very poor
Staff were great
Could do with a refurb, looking a bit tired but for £55 what do you expect.
Super comfy beds, lovely big room all very clean, staff very helpful no road noise. Hot water always available.
Building looks very tatty from outside.Size of the bathroom-too small. Toilet very cramped, kept knocking loo roll to the floor as loo flush to the wall. Shower curtain too short, shower more of a trickle than a good powerful blast.
The 'free' continental breakfast was very nice great choice to choose from and fresh.
I would of liked to be shown to my room, as it genuinely did take me 10 minuets to find. Also I was not asked about my stay if I was enjoying / enjoyed it or if there were any issue with anything? would of been nice to be asked.
Lock broken on door- Window broken didn't close in January- Toilet door broken -food poisoning from Toby next door..went home early ill...no security from pub to rooms...no refund from Hotel
Good location family enjoyed their stay reasonable prices will stay again if we're in the area again.
Handy for Toby Carvery, lovely staff, good location, easy to find
Our room location not the best, just above the bar, so very noisy, and a generator seemed to be running during the night.
Just a great place and nice staff make you feel welcome
Friendly staff, clean and comfortable. Great food.
The staff and meals were excellent.
The noises from the heating pipes kept us awake most of the night. I have two hearing aids and even without them fitted I was still kept awake. Poor maintenance of the floor has led to loud squeaking when walking about the room. There was mould in the bathroom and in the wardrobe.
Plenty of towels and bedding.
Bathroom is very cold. There is no heating at all in the bathroom. Weak flow on the shower. Apart from that room very nice.
Nice and clean and staff were lovely.
Squeaky floorboards and mattress wasn't great
Every we just love your lodge
All in all a lovely stay. Rooms were spacious and the evening meal and breakfasts were lovely.
Could do with modernising a bit in my opinion but dont let that comment put u off at all. Lovely stay and very friendly staff. Thankyou.
The food! I stop here on a regular basis and usually have the carvery which is generally quite good. However on this last stay I decided to have something different and ordered the sausage and mash. The worst I have ever had!!!! The sausages were rock hard, think they were leftovers from breakfast. I shall eat elsewhere in future!!!!!
Proximity to Toby's Carvery
It was a disbled access room and the bathroom door had no catches to keep it shut (It looked as though there had been several on at some time but all had been removed and filled in). This is not good as the only way to keep it shut from outside was by placing a bag there! Also if someone was locked in and got into difficulties there was no means of emergency access short of breaking the door down.
I am a regular visitor and am not happy with the change of brand of youghurts and there were no muffins. The fruit selection was not up to usual standard either. Bring back the old style!!!!
Parking Price . Its a budget hotel package that delivers a good service. Includes a basic breakfast which is O.K.
We have been to Doncaster many times and stayed at Innkeepers Lodge. We like everything about it especially the food and the friendly staff. I hope we will continue to come again in the future.
Confusion regarding breakfast as some food was laid out near the bar area and obviously, some food was in the dining area.I was told my a male member of staff I was not allowed to touch the food near the bar area as it was reserved for Lodge guests. I didnt argue with him but didnt understand what he meant. He was very rude! Also we spent Sat evening in your Bar area but was refused a late drink and we under the impression that the bar stayed open for residents. These were my only 2 niggles and we enjoyed our stay very much.
Staff pleasant and polite. Room clean, comfortable and quiet. Food quality and value good. Would definitely stay again
Location. Helpful staff.
We liked everything about the place, shops for the mamsab, plenty of eating places,if one wishes to dine out,bus service outside to and from the town, cheap day return,of course the meals at the Lodge are of great value too.
The location, very close to racecourse and reasonably priced
The continental breakfast, not much variety of food,
The whole experience
Nothing not to like
Spacious room, ideal location just outside town.
