The good size family room, with free car parking facility and free wifi.
Was not very clean, we stayed two nights with our young kids, there were spider nets, which never been cleaned and my daughter was not very happy to see them hanging on the corner of the wall. The desk lamp was dusty and there was mould on the shower room. The back door to enter from car park (close to room 14) does not always lock, which makes you feel bit unsecured.
Food was fantastic
Felt we could come & go as we liked. Nice relaxed environment, home from home! Hotel contacted us prior to our visit as despite adding child on booking form in family room our request did not get sent to hotel but they realised & checked with us.
Sadly the mattresses on both double & sofa bed have long passed their best & did not allow for a comfortable night
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We were traveling with our 4 children under 5 and they were great at helping us in the restaurant and at breakfast. The food was really good and facilities were clean. We all had a great stay and would definitely return :)
My only small issue was that it's on quite a busy road but to be fair you couldn't really hear it from the rooms. Also a bath would have been useful if we were staying longer to bath the kids as we only had a shower but that's a minor thing.
Friendly staff - plenty of choice at breakfast. Location is very handy for the area.
Had some issues with the room, comfort of the bed and lighting, but hotel gave a refund to compensate. Food in the pub looked good, but is average.
Hotel was comfortable. The Pub great. Lots of atmosphere, excellent staff and enjoyable food.
Clean comfy bed
Breakfast served to late for me to take advantage of it.
The bed was so uncomfortable
We were staying as we had a funeral locally. The staff bent over backwards to help us. Everyone was friendly. I would highly recommend it. We were very impressed and thankful.
The overhaul view is we enjoyed our stay. The room was a good size a very clean. Food was good.
The mattress was in poor condition we could feel the springs.
Lodge wasn't too far from the motorway.Has a quirky old feel too it,room was very adequate for our two day working break.Everything worked fine, lovely shower, and nice warm room.Very large car park. Breakfast was good too, inn staff very friendly.
Nothing much to dislike, entrance to lodge from car park is a bit confusing ? Think entrance to lodge area should be via key fob at all times, and not wide open during the daytime. Slight traffic noise in a morning,
Just stayed for one night everything you need for comfortable stay.
Nothing not to like
The staff were very friendly and helpful and service was good
Not much drawer space to put your things in
The St George and Dragon is well situation to get to Exeter - All the people are very friendly and happy even the cleaners. The breakfast is just right to start the day off. The food in the evening is excellent well prepared very filling and plenty of it. All I need to say is a great place to stay "JUST EXCELLENT"!!
Nothing at all.
Made to feel welcome made it a great stay
Loved every minute
Myself and daughter stayed whilst attending a family funeral and we're made very welcome. Will for certain make another trip from Portsmouth soon.
Great Pub meal, friendly staff, comfy rooms.
breakfast layout, this is my 3rd time at this location but will probably try an find somewhere else next time
room nothing like the picture on website, too hot in room, too noisy after 10pm doors slamming and hearing next door using toilet, limited menu, nothing really suitable for children
Staff extremely friendly great location for RMTC breakfast was great great choice
Being really pickie the wifi weren't great bit hit and miss
staff were very helpful and friendly. This is our 2nd stay and we will return!
Everything Andy was very helpful without his help I would have missed staying with my grandaughter who recently lost her father suddenly. The staff were very pleasent and I won't hesitate to book again in the New Year.
As said in the questionnaire Great time.
Friendly people Very helpful, Good food.
Good breakfast friendly staff Lovely hot evening meals puddings to die for.
Lots and lots of DUST under and behind bed found when I dropped a ring and it rolled under the bed.
It was ideal for lympstone commando base just at the bottom of the hill, staff really helpful and friendly, food good
