TV system, would be better with free view than half a sky system.

The room was well appointed; the bed was good. One female member of staff was brilliant: provided compensatory item after complaint about lasagne; very helpful indeed. Beer was good. Decor downstairs was tasteful. Other members of staff were also pleasant and helpful. Full marks.

We weren't keen on staff in jeans. A picture in the lounge was falling off the wall. The mirror for shaving was too far away - separated by sink. The lasagne - after a long and busy day no doubt - was very tired. It said in the bedroom that a telephone could be used. No telephone. Apparently hq told them to take it out. It might have been useful. Need for joined up thinking.

Lovely restaurant... Amazing food! Close to Wildwood golf course in Alford. Great value for money! Lots of character.

Not much to say here... Except we couldn't pick up itv on the tv so kids missed britains got talent on Saturday night! But it didn't bother us!

Continental breakfast only. Very little to offer, not happy with it at all. English breakfast £8.00 per person Restaurant menu- ok but expensive for what it was Rooms look much better in the pictures

Shower room didn't have heating and it was cold weather! Shower room fan continued far too long after being turned off and the noise was irritating, even with door closed.

like the modern deco and smart rooms and bedding etc.very nice and comfy. also very nice restuarant.

Very poor breakfast. Not alot of food items available. Not many cups or glasses to drink out of. very poor service.

*Shower leaked and sprayed water everywhere but out of head nossle *Rooms were dirty and stank of smoke *Log fire downstairs was obviously not insulated properly and left all rooms stinking and on the nightime it was hurting our eyes, as it was so bad we had to ask the staff to put it out *Broken tiles on the bathroom floor *Noise was awful from bar downstairs til early hours of the morning, one room was above the bar and our other overlooked the numerous industrial bins and stank!

Great rooms, nice modern, simple design. Comfy beds. Sofa beds were comfy for the children. Good showers. Breakfasts were lovely, a really good choice & all nice. Friendly, hard working staff with smiles.

No bathroom bin. No shelf under the bathroom mirror (somewhere to put toothbrushes etc)

After having a flight delayed, spending hours waiting to get through immigration and then figuring out how to drive our rented BMW, we were thrilled to find this inn with its cheery interior and very popular historical inn atmosphere. The breakfast was outstanding. This inn offers great value.

For a family room for 3 adults, we were jammed in. The rug had spots on it because of the the light color and the bathroom was small but other than that, this is an excellent value. Far enough from Heathrow to feel one is already in the authentic England.

the location was perfect the staff were polite and friendly and nothing was too much trouble

on having a meal at night was not told there was child menue my grandaughter is 8 but anotherr waitress sorted out the matter and changed the bill

There were builders , electricians in , drilling at 8/8.30 in the morning , we were moved rooms but still the smell of paint and drains was reall y bad

The hot water system was hopeless, lighting in the bath room and hotel room was not good.

Fantastic food.

Poor room cleanliness and the music from the bar was audible in the bedroom until nearly 11:30.

the room was very large, and the bed was very comfortable very clean, a beautifully decorated large room with two large windows.

We overlooked the garden area, and because there was a saturday evening barbacue it was quite a lot of noise, but that is to be expected for a week end pub stay, it did not spoil our very pleasent stay.

Relaxing and pleasant stay staff friendly and helpfull would use again

Very nice rural location Our watress in the evening was absolutely perfect she was Winnie (as in Pooh).polite and pleasant. The Polish waiter in the morning made our breackfast feel like a banquet.
