Staff was wonderful and food was very good. Pub had a very fun atmosphere!
The staff, especially one member, were really friendly, helpful and efficient. The room was very nice, and it was no problem to drop off our bags before check in so we could get to a wedding. We'd definitely stay again.
I am horribly allergic to feathers, so the feather pillows and duvet weren't great. The shower also took ages to warm up, but it was lovely once it was up to temperature.
We had a really nice big room, the family one, and it was very cozy and clean, it was a very pleasant stay! Breakfast was good as well.
Nice atmosphere and easy for us to use and see our family. Food good and staff helpful.
Parking a bit restricted when busy. Bathroom had no shelf in the shower and no hooks or rail for more than one towel.
Able to get breakfast up to 10.30am. Late check out to 12noon Good restaurant Good outlook for our room
Lots of stairs to room
Friendly warm staff Eager too please, nothing too much trouble. Went all out to make our very special memorable day. Many Thanks too all of you.
No air conditioning in rooms
Bar and restaurant downstairs
Room was very hot as there was no air conditioning or fan provided.
Friendly Staff, great location. On site food & hospitality was excellent. Well-appointed room. Bar/lounge area very accommodating and well presented.
Family room had convertible bed (double) for the kids which was ok but would have preferred bunks/twins with proper mattresses.
Room very nice and clean. Staff really helpful and friendly. Breakfast really good.Lovely gardens , grounds and public rooms
Unfortunately had a room overlooking the kitchen bins which were very noisy last thing at night and first thing in morning
Size of rooms and quality of furnishings.
Warm temperatures = need to have windows open however as room above kitchen this meant noisy.
Restaurant area very attractive and staff helpful. Room quite spacious and good sized en-suite.
Bed rather small and decor dated throughout stairs and halls as well as bedrooms. No bottled water available.
Comfy bed. Good shower. Interesting dinner menu
Decor shabby in places. Music in bar. Slow service sometimes at dinner and slow to open up for breakfast on a work day morning. Lighter duvet would be good in warm weather.
Very convenient to where we needed to be
The room was modern, cleam and spacious
The room was very hot during the night. A.C would have made the night more comfortable
We came in late and they did not make up the bed for our daughter....
The restaurant, food and service and there was a great selection of food on offer, the creme brulee was amazing. The style overall of the hotel - boutique chic. The size of the room (14) was super. The bed was comfy and it was nice to have feather and down pillows instead of rock hard polyester. The staff; the welcome and ease of check in and help with bags. Lots of tea and coffee in the room - and great variety too.
As a hotel it tries too hard then misses the point. The point of bedside lights is so you can read comfortably in bed - the ones in my room (14) were wired to the main light, so it was bright all the time. Overlooking the lake and terrace was OK, but put some privacy curtains up! I don't want diners seeing me in my PJ's or with a towel wrapped round me! and I didn't necessarily want to shut the heavy curtains as it was a hot day. If you're going to put a fancy shmancy ensuite in then make sure that the shower enclosure actually closes and doesn't flood the floor wetting the bathmat totally. Oh, and put a hook near the shower so that I can leave my towel there for when I step out. Two of the power sockets in the room didn't work which was a bit annoying. The sound system in the restaurant carries into the bedrooms which are directly above and the bass line of the music is irritating. All the doors in this hotel slam shut, also irritating when trying to sleep.
Music a bit loud Bed a bit narrow
The cleanness and size of the rooms; the nice dining area and the surrounding greenery.
The fact that the fire door remained open during the whole night made us feel a little unsafe as anyone could have got into our sleeping area.
Friendly staff. Contemporary decor. Obviously a place liked by the locals.
Large bedroom with powerful shower
No full English breakfast option Restaurant waiting staff were very good however bar staff were very uninterested and service very slow. Was told when asked for sugar for the breakfast cereal that there was only sugar cubes available !!
Setting and staff
Noise from the bar until gone midnight.
Helpful staff and very good choice for breakfast.
Had everything I needed, friendly staff
Location. Beautiful landscaped garden
Loud music from the bar, lounge which resonated loudly in our bedroom until 11.50pm.
