We liked the Staff as they were very good at there Job,and also Very Helpfull.Girl called Lisa was Really Helpful and Cheery what helps when you are talking to staff.
We were in room at front and banging of front door was Terrible. It just banged every time people went in or out.we had our Granddaughter and she could get to sleep very easy, mind that also same with myself and Wife.A Stronger Spring needed. We had Continental Breakfast but thought you usually got some sort of meat with it?Thanking you,George B LAMONT.
Loved the look of the place inside....modern and well done up in an old building. Gorgeous gardens. Lisa, the chambermaid is a hard worker and was actually running the restaurant all day due to staff shortages, she did a great job! Manager helped me up the stairs with my bags and organised a travel cot for me as I was on my own with my toddler.
Bar/restaurant staff were pretty poor. Seemed uninterested and unmotivated.
Able to change room after speaking with manager
Room 9, too small, sloping roof, no good for reasonably tall people
Grand surroundings, helpful staff and excellent room and dinner menu.
Limited ale selection. Continental breakfast really basic.
Lovely place, with lots of character and romantic venue..great location..food absolutely delicious in the Restaurant, couldn't fault that!!! Would definitely recommend a stay here and would go back!!
Unfortunately we didn't get the room as per the booking described but worst than that the room was very dirty, hairs in the bathroom and dead flies...reported to Martin and we changed to a much nicer room with complimentary Champers!! After that the stay was fabulous though!!!
The young lads that looked after us were very pleasant and sociable, when given the time.
we stayed in room 3 and were woken by a gentleman on his mobile phone, who seemed like he was in the same room, and then he woke us again at 4am on his departure. walls far too thin--- shame
Well worth the money excellent hotel
aged stained carpet aged bathroom dirty cups wanted to have dinner in the evening, but staff not willing to prepare childrens portions/food, horrible asked for earlier breakfast, no will to help, at advertised time they just started preparing it very limited continental breakfast really disappointed for that price you can get much more anywhere else
Breakfast was adequate
Felt you were clients of the restaurant, not guest at the hotel. Unable to book any the cost to your room no personnel touch, having to pay for your stay upfront very unusual when you have booked using your debit card.very nearly got scammed a few days prior to arriving by being asked to transfer payment for our stay by bank transfer due to the hotel bookings being cancelled at the last moment affecting your occupancy fortunately I did not fall for the scam I reported this to the hotel at the time no reasons were given or any apologies from the hotel or booking.com.
friendly staff, good location cooked food
The continental breakfast had little imagination, bread coisant, cereal fruit pre packed cheese and yoghurt. The cleanliness overall was good however the window in the bathroom (Room 5) didn't close properly and there was what appeared to be mold or dirt on the tiles in the shower (they had discoloured around the shower area bur the original colour away from the wet area.
We were both impressed by the presentation and quality of our meal in the pleasant dining room and by the helpful willing restaurant staff.
It was very irritating to be asked for full payment on arrival at the public bar without even seeing the room. We had to ask the staff to show us the room that was satisfactory. They did not seem to have a process for pre-registering credit cards like most other hotels and inns. We then had our meal interrupted to make the room payment. There was then another separate payment at the end of our meal. It should have been made easier and have it all included in the one bill like other establishments we have stayed in.
Well converted old house over pub so convenient for food and bar. Very good food well presented and good value.
Rather narrow room. Housekeeping sloppy in the bathroom, some rubbish on the floor and tissue box empty. Way to room rather confusing!
The room. The bathroom
Carpets in room may need cleaning.
Just 2 minutes drive from the centre of Harrogate this was the perfect venue for us to reach our exhibition venue. A charming old building with heaps of character and very tastefully updated. The staff were really friendly and attentive.
Sunday breakfast didn't start until 0800 and we had to leave before then. Our room was full of character, but being at the very top of the building (in the eaves) the sloping ceiling was a problem for my tall husband. With a little more attention to detail our stay would have been perfect - it was just the little things that let it down like no tissues in the holder, and the tea and coffee in the room wasn't replenished. The tiles in the bathroom maybe needed a dash of bleach here and there to restore their loveliness?
Rooms were comfortable and clean. the bar area was pleasant with a pleasant restaurant to dine in. Food and service was very good.
The children loved running around the fish pond outside.
It was hot so we opened all the windows but were woken up by traffic noise the next morning.
Friendly hotel very polite staff and very helpful. Breakfast was great. Very comfortable surroundings and well decorated. Shower tremendous.
Bed a wee bit springy as not used to it however had a great sleep, room was a little bit on the small side but adequate for we needed it for. The name of the InnKeepers Inn is the Pine Martin this could be advertised as this name as we could not find it looking for Inn Keepers Inn.
No hot water. Very poor mattress(springs sticking through material) so had no sleep at all. Breakfast very poor nothing there when I went down had to repeatedly ask for basics like bread gave up in the end. Not happy at all.
food, beds, decor, bathrooms, iron in every room, really helpful staff, yummy breakfast.
restaurant food lovely but a bit pricey
Perhaps we were just lucky, but on the night we stayed, Richard and his team were really working brilliantly together.
A bath as well as a shower would have been the icing on the cake.
The staff were very friendly and I enjoyed the continental breakfast.
We are a family of 4 with 2 older children. We booked a family room but I was disappointed with the size of it. There were stains on all the walls of the ensuite. It didn`t look very nice. We stayed in room 8. The floorboards are very creaky which kept me awake at night.
We stayed for 1 night but wish we could have stayed longer it was so lovely and the staff were amazing I would definatly go back and would recommend to anyone wanting somewhere nice to stay to book there. It was perfect couldn't fault any of it.
Nothing at all
Old building Good food Friendly staff Comfortable, large room
Only one room key for two people and several doors require a key. Lights poorly placed in relation to mirrors. Front door thuds shut and kept us awake past 1am. Pudding served in unnecessary metal pot which was scolding hot and caused painful hand
The staff were fantastic! They did everything they could to make our stay pleasant.
Really could do with a long mirror and a little more light!
Nice comfy rooms, with en suite. all very clean and tidy.
Cooked breakfast option was a disaster, waited over 20 minutes, and then eggs were hard and not as hot as should have been. We were not alone, next table couldn't eat theirs as wasn't cooked properly.
