The room and bathroom seemed to have been recently refurbished and were modern and clean. The cleaners were friendly and helpful.
the Fire alarm sounding at 2 in the morning for no apparent reason and no staff being available at that time. Also the road outside the hotel was being resurfaced and heavy noisy machinery was being used until 2-3 in the morning. Although the bed was comfortable sleep was impossible,
Was cheap, good bar downstairs, free parking, clean and ideally located. Pleasant staff.
Leak on wet stairs, towels om request , had to queue at the bar for any assistance, no cooked breakfast.
Staff very helpful to 2 aged old dears ( Mother and myself!) Room was excellent, very comfortable with all amenities we needed Next morning's breakfast was also perfect Thank all staff for their service .
Staff were excellent, very friendly, happy to advise/help. Spacious room with good facilities free to come and go as pleases free parking a big plus. lovely choices for breakfast, despite it being continental. have booked again, and happy to recommend
being a little bit picky, the water pressure not very good for the shower.
Good location excellent for LUL.
Very convienient location for tube into London. Big spacious room.wifi free ,good connection. Reasonable value for money.
Breakfast wasn't that special, could do with a decent coffee machine and some fresh croissants.
located next to Hornchurch station.not too far from Stansted airport.
I had to ring 48 hours before arrival to confirm if I could check in at 12.15am due to timeof flight .I had already asked this question on special request section of online booking form .I was first told that last check in was 11.00pm as stated on booking form .I had to inform the person I spoke to of my request for late check in on booking form andif he had seen it after a couple of minutes he informed me that some one would wait back until 12.15 or 12.30 am. I arrived about 12.30 and there was no problem.
free parking---quality of continental breakfast.
room 104 smelt very fusty.facing onto main road noisy leading to a poor nights sleep--pity
The ladies at the Innkeeper's Lodge were very friendly and helpful. The price is good and includes a plentiful continental breakfast. The location was good for our requirements.
The hotel is very shabby and could do with a makeover. The worst thing was the noise at night - I think the manager lives upstairs and was banging and moving around until 3-4am both nights - I really got no sleep at all.
Clean and comfortable room. Good value for money for what we needed that evening.
We were locked out of the hotel at 2am in the morning and it took about 20mins of banging to alert a member of staff. We had visions of sleeping on the street!
The bathroom was lovely.
The room was very hot, with poor vetilation.
The staff were very helpful and friendly Good continental breakfast
The whole place needs decorating, repairs to garden walls, exterior woodwork and general appearance of the building is off-putting. In the room ceiling paper was leaving the ceiling, as stated the whole place needs a massive revamp.
Were okay to check me in up to midnight. Lovely pint of Brakespeare (reqd). Very nice twin room. Welcoming staff.
M25. Struggled to find a number to contact them about arriving late.
The purpose of our trip was a family funeral so we chose the hotel based primarily on location. The staff were all very friendly, the room was much better than I expected having stayed at the hotel 15 years ago! The breakfast offering was also excellent & the bar prices were reasonable for the area.
I thought the email sent before my trip about 'things to do in the local area' was a little unnecessary consdering the best recommendation was a shopping centre some 6 miles away!
Comfortable bed, good breakfast
Slight smell of damp in room, noise from outdoor seating area in evening
Location (tube 2 mins away). Room size, bar food
Bathroom (toilet) was filthy when i arrived. As they didn't have a master key, my room didn't get serviced throughout my stay.
On arrival we explained to a chap called Connor that we had two separate bookings, and could we have the same room in order to avoid checking in/out, he said this was not possible. I went through the listings with him, and there were gaps but he said he had to await confirmation of internet bookings. I explained that I was undergoing more tests at the hospital for more cancer, but he still maintained I would have to check out in the morning and in again at 3pm the following day. It was unbelievable. There was no compassion or any keenness to help. The place itself was shabby. There was wallpaper peeling of the wall, the lampshades were burnt against the bulbs in the communal areas. The fan in our bathroom did not work, and the taps on the bath did not turn off. The kettle did not turn off, although it was allegedly pat tested and it was dangerous. There was mould on the windows in our bedroom. The second room was much better, thanks to Christine the cleaner, who used her initiative who could see our stress, and reported the problem to Linda, who agreed that we could go straight into our room, although at this stage thanks to Connor, we had already taken our stuff to the car. Christine went the extra mile and helped us with our luggage. Without her and her compassion our stay there thanks to Connor could only be described at the Innkeepers lodge from HELL.
The two-bed room was really large, much roomier than at our earlier stays. The hotel is perfectly situated right next to the underground station. All of the staff are very friendly indeed.
W-Lan is not available free of charge.
Excellent location for link's to the tube & buses.
all of it
It was close to the function we were attending. It's part of a pub so didn't have to go far for a drink. Breakfast was basic but nice
Confusing entrance to get to checkin - no one on check-in desk (ever) - v.basic room, no air-con
clean but basic rooms with friendly helpful staff good food though restraunt being a pub was very busy
very noisy road outside window
When approached the staff were helpful.
There were no complimentary soaps etc in the bathrooms.
Nice large room. Comfy bed. Relaxing atmosphere.
Slightly strange smell in room. Sink didn't drain properly (& toilet difficult to flush). Not enough coat hangers (4)
hotel had character ,kept very clean, close to train station breakfast was continental plenty of it and coffee was fresh&hot
asked for a cot for 8 month old was told we don't do cots children in family room sleep in a single bed
