Cost Pleasant location Restaurant attsached
Very small window in room making it gloomy Breakfast disappointing (stale croissants, bagels Wi fi not working
Room was excellent. Just really nice and comfortable. Nice decor, nice shower!
Easy access to town & countryside. All the staff were exceptionally friendly & helpful. Continental breakfast well provisioned & optional extra cooked breakfast very good. The food in The Foxglove was excellent. Will be staying again when picking up / dropping off Uni student.
Good size room for the money.
All nice. Food was good. Rooms well maintained and clean.
The bed was a small double and it was a bit hard, although that may suit some.
Broken items in the room I.E toilet roll holder soap dispencer. Couldnt get wifi at all
Nice staff, good, comfortable room
Food prices a bit OTT, be careful of the small print on the menu. If you need to get back to the M62, its a battle through Huddersfield but easy to get down to Sheffield
Continental breakfast included
Dial up/paid for wi-fi
bedroom, friendly staff, excellent breakfast choice
Character inside and out, especially main dining area, where pie menu, being Wednesday was excellent
Too cramped breakfast area and Vintage should consider more traditional English buffet breakfast to enhance 'value for money'
Buffet breakfast was ok for the children and for the price room was better than we expected
Staff. Evening meals expensive and not very nice.
Everything was fine
Needed brighter lights in room.
Location was lovely as was the foxglove. Nice room and breakfast was good.
Ordered meal for four and one wasn't cooked right so that person (me) had to eat alone wasn't good, didn't enjoy meal but still had to pay in full, wasn't impressed. Left most of meal but got free glass of wine, would rather have had meal reimbursed.
Staff we're very helpful and food was good.
No wi fi connection
We formed part of a large party and the staff could not have been more helpful both in the bar and restaurant areas. Our ground floor room was well-equipped and very comfortable. The hotel is quiet and well-situated being just off the main road. Unfortunately we did not have the time to enjoy what appeared to be a splendid garden. We would definitely visit again.
Nothing here to complain about!
We were attending a wedding close by so the location was good. We did not eat in the pub next door but the menu looked good. The rooms were clean and gave good value for money.
Mattress uncomfortabl, back ache several days.
Good value for one night stay but restaurant expensive and not worth it. Did not like restaurant staff. Breakfast good.
Spacious comfortable room. Good price. Excellent Wifi.
Room was not cleaned very well. Bar service can be slow.
Food was excellent and staff were helpful
A bit more isolated than we had envisaged
staff excellent; food superb; nice gardens!
nothing to dislike
Bar and Restaurant are both good as is the food. Room was comfortable. Good value for money
check in is terrible - Entering a busy pub in the evening when staff are not interested in your presence or offering you any guidance where you should be is a bad start. Breakfast appears to be dealt with by one person only who I believe also cooks the food. She said good morning to me and directed me to Tea / Coffee and then completely ignored me whilst serving other tables around me and passing me at least 10 times in the next 30 mins. I resorted to toast and serials.
We were just in the area for one night and found the hotel really easily. The bed could have been more comfortable but otherwise everything else was very good
Great place, comfortable room. Met all our needs
Only thing was, even in August room felt alittle damp due to being at the back surrounded by trees.
We didn't expect much for what we were paying but we were so surprised that it was lovely. The room the staff everything was tops. The pub next door was real nice and homely.
Maybe the sofa bed was not to great but that's ok.
