food could have been a bit better
The food and staff were fantastic. Nothing too much trouble.Amazing location
Breakfast was a little un organised. Had to hunt for spoons etc and nowhere to put dirty cutlery
Location. Amazing views.
Very small room. Lights on outside all night were like daylight. Cooked breakfast was optional at a high cost.
You could walk outside the doors and you were on the moors
Bed not very comfortable
Cow and Calf is in a lovely setting on the edge of the moor. Food and ales very good.
Fantastic location right next to the moor. Friendly staff, good food, clean, modern bedrooms with great shower.
It's a lottery whether you get a room with a lovely view of the moor, or one overlooking the car park and over the kitchen fan extractor. If I went back, I'd make sure first!
Great location , friendly staff Good food and great selection of real Ale
Location Facilities Cleanliness Comfort
The food and accommodation was very good
The wi fi is very poor , probably worst ever come across.
Friendly, welcoming staff. Good food. Very good beer. Comfortable room and a great location.
We liked the staff a lot. They were very helpful. We had a nice evening meal with friends and to top it all we got a bottle of champagne as our friend had a big!!! birthday.
We would have liked a twin room on the first floor, mainly because the view would be better, and I have a bad knee which was a bit cumbersome on the 2nd floor.
Good food, unique location and friendly staff.
Room got quite hot and only roof lights not windows that open, but was a cheap room.
View of Cow & Calf Rocks & Ilkley was stunning. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Got a good deal for a family room through Booking.com
Minor niggle - Shower curtain was too short so bathroom floor got wet
Everything about the position, food, staff, rooms, etc
Stayed in room 10 and whilst the bathroom was small with no window it was still functional.
Tasty food, good ales, nice views, beergarden.
Everything. Evening Menu old fashioned but excellent. Rooms quaint but very comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for the Staff. Location as good as any I have seen anywhere in the World
service or lack of it
The location was superb with fine views from all sides of the building. We will definitely make a return visit.
Fantastic location. Wonderful views and a chance to explore the Cow and Calf rocks. Nice outdoor gardens. Lovely rooms. Well looked after by staff. Good selection for included breakfast but could upgrade to cooked. We all enjoyed our meals at other times too. Would definitely return.
Was a long wait for food in evenings. Seemed very short staffed. However, staff always informed us how long the expected wait would be and apologised.
Setting , Room , Staff
Leaving . No seriously for constructive feedback purposes it would have been better had Cooked Breakfast beeincluded
The location is beautiful and the angle of the building provides a wonderful view of the setting sun in mud- summer. Food very good and service excellent.
If you want a quiet weekend this is not the place for you. It is extremely popular with its location on ilkley moor overlooking cow & calf rocks. Serving food all day long, you are lucky to get a seat in the spacious gardens. But, that apart the food is excellent and rooms modern - other than the one in the eaves which we were allocated without a window but with Skylights.
Fantastic location, lovely friendly staff, super clean rooms
Very busy country road outside
We liked everything about this Hotel. The staff was very nice and understanding. We will be back for sure.
The friendly helpful staff, their greeting and knowledge. The location.
Under no circumstances accept Room No 1 ( named Saltaire ) Fumes from central heating boiler and noise all night means you will not sleep. Breakfast included in the price very poor.
The whole weekend was made by the staff of this great hotel.
