The building itself with its mix of modern and traditional...great value for money.
Location was lovely just ten minutes from leeds centre in the country with fabulous rural views Stayed for a meal at the pub and that was very nice too. Complimentary continental breakfast was provided with a lot of choice Free parking. Nice and quiet Room was ensuite adn very spacious
Room was cool as radiator needed bleeding but they rectified that as soon as i reported the problem
Great place to stay. Lovely grounds, easy to find and ample parking. Really nice bar / pub / restaurant area. Didn't eat here but menu looked good. Breakfast was fantastic.
Bar staff were a bit slack... took a long time to get their attention at first. They were helpful when we returned in the evening though providing us with hot chocolate for the kids as there were no sachets in the room.
The room size restaurant staff money off voucher
My stay was fine don't get me wrong but we paid more to stay here thinking it would be a treat from the premier inn while to be honest it was just the same sort of experience. perfectly pleasant all round but it cost more.
The only complaint was not knowing the family room had twin beds and not a double
food was lovely
check in process was not so good left standing around 10 mins no one acknowledged us
Food was beutiful
some of the rooms were not very good creaking floorboards in room 12 every time you moved. room 7 above bar very noisey
Staff in general are excellent, good food and good value. We've stayed before with no complaints and will stay again.
Room 14's bed is very hard and uncomfortable, the pipes in the bathroom need work, noisy when toilet flushed. Too close to road, earplugs required for a good night's sleep. No wifi.
clean warm room with comfy bed
traffic a bit noisy in room 12
comfort of bed. Friendly staff.
Toaster at breakfast not good!
Comfortable room, good restaurant
Bath chipped and gap between bath panel and wall Not really up to standard, could do with updating
Bar and restaurant looked great but sadly we didn't have the time to enjoy them. I was expecting more noise from the bar late in the evening but it was not a problem at all. It was lovely and warm, so much so that we turned the heating down in the room and opened the window. Room was very nice and had a real bath rather than just a shower.
Mattress was not brilliant but perfectly adequate. Did not like the free O2 wifi which made you give away your email address and sign up to receive promotional material before it would grant you access. Why ?
Staff helpful clean and tidy
only thing the menus remains the same for 2 years or more
Couldn't fault it lovely place and staff very welcoming and friendly definitely recommend it
Spacious room well heated
Our third stay here. This time service was poor in the restaurant.. We waited 40 minutes between starter and main course arriving. The restaurant was not full and locals arriving after us were served more startern and main course before our main course rrived.
Room large and well equipped.
Don't expect breakfast. At 10:00 there was no bread, coffee, milk, pastries ect left. Staff said breakfast ended at 10 whereas I was told at checkin breakfast was till10:30. Staff were sitting at a table eating and were unconcerned.
Not being able to open a bar tab to pay on departure
The location was good and it was a comfortable bed.
The staff person was unhelpful and uninterested when I arrived. I waited for ages to check in. The Inn's name is not displayed on the road sign (it is 'signed' as Calverly Heritage Inns or something like that) and I drove around for 30 minutes looking for the 'right' sign. It was dark and I had to stop and inquire on the location to help me to find it.
Cleanliness of hotel. Bedding and towels changed regularly. Bathroom a little tired. Bed was excellent. Hotel was lovely and warm.
That you were not told that all rooms are same price. We stayed for 8 nights with 3 big suitcases and were in one of the smallest rooms. Would definately book family room next time. Assumed they were only reserved for families. Breakfast not up to standard. Croissants were cremated EVERY DAY!! When mentioned this to staff member she told me it was a different chef in morning. However a proper chef would not have served croissants and pan o chocolate that were burnt to a crisp.
No food allowed until 4:30 because they hadn't anticipated it being so busy ..... Not my fault. Bed on wheels felt like a roller coaster every time you moved. Nice long black hair in scrambled egg for breakfast I don't think I need to say anymore other than I'd like my money back
Helpful staff, good food, lovely ambience.
Everyone was welcoming. Nothing too much trouble.
This was an ideally located hotel providing all the facilities my wife and I could ask for prior to our xmas holiday departure. The location was only 15mins from the airport, easy to locate with a family friendly atmosphere and excellent food. Thank you for making the start of our holiday a pleasant experience. Regards....Rob & Barbara
Very clean and comfortable. Large room. Free parking. Continental breakfast for a change. Secure entry to be bedrooms. Nice location and village in semi rural area
Nothing to dislike
