The room was impeccably clean with all mod cons and a generous king size bed. The en-suite facilities were fine with all the little extras you would expect. The continental breakfast was excellent and the hot items were well worth the extra cost. The staff were friendly and efficient and nothing was too much trouble. I would be happy to recommend this hotel for a weekend break in Liverpool.
There was a constant banging noise from the restaurant downstairs although this stopped at the end of service.
The room was fantastic - roll top bath in the middle of this huge bathroom - and all very comfortable and clean. Dinner was good with perfectly cooked steaks but not the restaurant for nouvelle cuisine or vegitarians....
Organisation of breakfast very sloppy - came down to no coffee and not a soul in sight - and not the first time...
Good location close to Liverpool the young guy who checked us in was very smart and friendly plenty to choose from on continental breakfast enjoyed our staycould have
Could have been signposted better
Spacious, elegant room, with an excellent bathroom. The attached steakhouse produced an excellent if pricey dinner.
The room seemed not to have been used for a while and everywhere was rather dusty, although in principle clean. The mattress was not at all good, though, with springs sticking out uncomfortably in various places - I bruised my ankle on one!
Brilliant food and a lovely hotel. Rooms where modern and clean. Staff where all friendly
Bed was rather hard and we where woken by children running and shouting in the hall way in the early hours of the morning but that was not the hotels fault.
great room loads of space (room no 1) fantastic bathroom with roll top bath. lovely restaurant with fantastic steaks.
nobody can change the weather but it was very hot on our stay, 26th july, there is no air con in the room and the windows do not open (room no 1). when asked, there were no fans available. A sleepless and very hot night followed. please change the windows so they open!
It has three names, rather confusing when new to the area. No a/c so had to have window open which over looked a dual carriageway. Extractor fan in the bathroom lasted for ten minutes and sounded like an aircraft engine roaring.
Large well appointed rooms. Lovely location - in village but convenient for access to main road. Restaurant very good. Highly recommend.
Continental Breakfast was a little sparse.
Staff were friendly and the hotel was very clean, we stayed only for one night as we were going to our son's graduation in Ormskirk, so the hotel was ideally situated. We had a meal in the steak house which was 1st class, there was 7 of us and everybody said it was the best steak they had ever had, service was very good.We all would recommend the lodge. We will certainly go back for a meal and an overnight stay.
There was nothing we didn't like
The staff were incredibly friendly and more than willing to help with any queries we had. Our room was clean , beautifully furnished and comfortable. The restaurant downstairs served lovely food at a very reasonable price. We would definitely return to the Innkeepers Lodge!
The only area I can find for improvement would be concerning breakfast time. The continental breakfast could be better and it was quite difficult to locate staff at this time.
Really nice and friendly staff. Wonderful spacious room. Breakfast was excellent
Staff and the professional nature of their interactions. Staff were very attentive to our needs. All meals were excellent and great value.
Rooms are great, plenty of space. We have used this hotel 6 or 7 times as we have family close by.
Breakfast is a bit hit and miss. You can have a fried breakfast at extra cost, or the continental is in with your cost. Sometimes things are not put out for you.
The accommodation was excellent, so was the food. Staff were very courteous.
They had winter quilts on the bed, too hot.
Very hot in the room, had windows open but maybe should have air conditioning
The manager & staff were so helpful & friendly, although the place was very busy with people in for meals, our every needs were met . The place run like clockwork due a friendly team effort.
suited us , close by where we needed to be .
it was very hot in the rooms , could do with some fans .
Friendless of staff on arrival, told us everything we needed to know without having to ask. Twin room was bigger than average, beautifully furnished. Bathroom small but again excellent. Tea tray and bathroom toiletries all provided. Excellent value for money.
Knit picking, but perhaps need to be told lift to first floor still stairs to climb to some of the bedrooms on this floor.
nice room and lovely steaks would definitely stay again
no receptionist on arrival and departure
The decor, cleanliness, friendly staff, facilities, spacious room with ample tea and coffee facilities, spacious car park
Would have preferred if more local to Ormskirk town centre then less reliant on local taxi service Unmanned electronic door access when main restaurant / bar closed
Check in was simple. Nice big bathroom in Room 1. Food in restaurant was nice.
Continental breakfast was sufficient but the coffee was like dishwater....no staff around to complain to. Porthole window in Room 1 had a roller blind on it but you would need to be at least 15ft tall to be able to access so I was awake at first light...04.15... Not amused!
Nice place all round. I'd happily stay there sgain.
Quiet Good for getting into Liverpool
Friendly staff, unexpectedly large room. Very quiet, considering it is situated on a main road. Nice restaurant.
Little inattentions to detail, for example our dirty towels were removed from the room, but the girl forgot to replace them. Also, milk in hostess tray was not replenished. Both replaced immediately when we asked, though.
