The welcoming comfortable bar and all day dining.| The tasty and well-priced pub food. The comfortable nicely decorated rooms. The friendly helpful staff The 12 noon checkout. Included buffet breakfast With optional cooked breakfast as extra. The price
Bedrooms Look on to noisy main road but there is good double glazing so it cannot be heard with windows shut. Parts of Cooked breakfast needed slightly longer cooking
We like the location and the restaurant is very nice. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean
This time we were in the hotel bit room 210 and it was very very noisy. There is nothing to look at and the room was a little cramped not big enough for a double bed. The floor boards are very creeky and all we could was slamming doors late into the night so we didn't get much sleep. Last time we were in the conversion bit across the courtyard and that was brilliant.
loved the food, even if it is not my favorite kind of... staff is very gentle, room are quite and clean..
only bad think is the wifi that works not well
Near to motorway and pleasant atmosphere
Mattress dips into the centre, coat hooks in the hall would be useful(room 301)
The food in the pub was excellent as was the beer! The staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all a very pleasant stay.
It was a motel style room which was very clean and tidy. The continental breakfast was more than adequate and we ate in the pub/resturant on the evening of our arrival, finding the food to be very good.
Value, ambience, staff
A good hotel at a reasonable price. Continental breakfast. Free wi-fi. Free parking. Efficient location close to M6.
Only Continental breakfast without eggs and sausages etc. Is a bit too less... If you leave very early in the morning, you will not get any breakfast - e.g. Like a sandwich packet.
This hotel was good value for money, the rooms were a good size, we had an evening meal also which was reasonably priced and the free continental breakfast was great.
The only fault would be the WiFi was patchy and non existent at times.
Everything. We have stayed several times while visiting family nearby. Its not the Celtic Manor but it has everything we need. Excellent staff, good food, comfortable rooms.
Nothing to report
Location for M6 Stoke.
Awful nights sleep. Noise from radiator pipework and continuous bathroom fans made it impossible to sleep properly. FREE breakfast included a small selection of cereal, yogurts and toast. Anything else was charged for (and not cheap!). Staff helpful, but with a huff and a puff, not one smile during the whole stay.
Good NIghts Sleep
We had a comfortable stay- nice food, helpful staff and good room.
The bed was a bit too soft for us, but that's personal preference.
We arrived to plenty of parking even though we didnt arrive as early as planed .good brisk booking in , nice clean comfortable room. Staff went out their way to please In every department would return.
The menu could move up a class, and we would have enjoyed a lounge area.
Clean and good sized bathroom Breakfast Ok Resteraunt meal very good and service was efficient and friendly.
Very poor level of lighting. Couldn't see to read or see into wardrobe. Small room could only get out of one side of bed.
This was part of making our break a great one never miss the chance to stay you won't be disappointed.
Good food, value for money, Lovely old world feel with cosy and warm pub/restaurant Quiet location
Beds need replacing, too soft for tired travellers.
Location and restaurant.
Comfortable bed, clean room, good food, staff accommodating.
Cleanliness was second to none
Restaurant could be noisy outside at night
Nice large clean room. Good food availible and reasonble price. Very nice beers! Good loaction for travel throughout east Cheshire Good WiFi reception in room and free.
No bath only a shower.
Celebrating the 400th anniversary of the public house next year (2015), beautiful building very well kept. Room was very comfortable, bar area very well kept. Wi-Fi was excellent Pub, bar and room service staff were first class.
* Poor shower, not enough power. * Had to 'pay-as-you-go' for breakfasts, drinks in the bar, meals etc., rather than pay on checkout, don't understand why they can't take a payment card with pre-auth like most other places and save this hassle. * Beware 'restaurant closes at'!, we were having our main course, so disappointed to hear that "the kitchen had closed" and the staff had all gone!!" Good job we weren't only on starters!!... The waiting staff did a good job to search around the kitchen and produce an 'off menu' dessert, but still, a rather strange approach to handling your diners!
great food - nice pub - comfortable beds
An excellent stay, with good wine and beautiful meal. Roaring log fire right by the table. We both loved our night. The staff were outstanding and all deserve a pat on their backs, for making us so welcome. Many thanks
As we were in an early part of the building, there was no double glazing in our room so were slightly troubled with road noise. But I expect this would not be a problem in the new rooms. Still a good night's sleep
rooms were well set out with everything needed very comfortable beds
would have liked a bath
