The hotel was located perfectly for our needs and the room was spacious and very clean and comfortable. It was a bit difficult having to drag our suitcases through the main bar and dining and then proceed out a back door to our rooms.

The hotel and bar areas were quite cosy and the (Family) room was large. The room walls were rather thin so the toilet flushing next door could be heard; the tissues should have been replenished after they ran out on the first day but were not and the old toilet-roll holder fitting on the wall should have been previously removed - it served no purpose at all!!!

The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The rooms are located away from the main hotel body which is a bit of a trek, but worth it for the quality of the room. nothing.

Very comfortable and attractive room and a lovely setting. A friendly welcome by all your staff. The tea bags and/or milk in the room were disgusting for some reason. The tea I made in the morning was undrinkable. Walk from Car Park to Lodge was difficult with a child and luggage. The pub in the morning was freezing while we had breakfast. No fire had been lit in advance of the guests arriving for breakfast. Nowhere to drop our keys off in the morning. Your partner pub was very understaffed and we had to wait 1 hour for our meal after we ordered it. We never got showed the specials menu, or asked if we wanted any sauces etc, or any more drinks. Plus the chef and waiter had an open argument in front of house about who was going to fetch a pint of Guiness for one of the tables, and the chef swore!! I know this has nothing to do with your lodge really, but it took up our whole evening waiting for the food to be delivered, and then we practically had to put our (very bored by then) child to bed straight after we had finally eaten.

We loved staying there before, great walks, lovely food and beautiful log fires, perfect after a days walking. Linen and rooms clean. Did not get our request for a table near log fires, special birthdays for 2 of our party. No water on the sunday to all our rooms, due to a burst pipe. Had to come home to wash and shower, really spoilt our treat for birthday treats. We was all home for 10am, very dissappointed on this occassion

The price was very reasonable. In the ideal location to drive into Sheffield and on the doorstep of beautiful walking countryside. The staff were extremely polite and friendly. The room was quite a generous side and the bed was comfy. There was plenty of breakfast, which was very tasty. No hot water when we arrived, so unable to have a shower, although it was on the following morning. The radiator in the room didnt work for the two days, although there was a plug in oil filled radiator which was adequate but it would have been helpful to be told the radiator didnt work in inadvance.

Very warm and welcoming. Colleagues were genuinely happy to serve with a friendly smile and a heart felt greeting. Although the room was clean and comfortable, the shower could have done with a coat of white paint to hide the damp. The towels and bedding were crisp clean white, however as the pillows appeared to be natural feather they had a distinctive aroma (phew) slept without as too aromatic for our liking. Sorry, this was only a minor niggle in the face of how wonderful we found the place, its surroundings, and specifically its wonderful team.

Good location, pleasant staff. Service at evening meals slow, meals did not always come out together. Main gripe, and a major one, temperature of eating areas very low due to heating failure and lack of fuel for fires. Guests were eating their meals in outdoor clothing! You should be considering a rebate to those who stayed , us for two nights.

The view from the Inn over the Peak District was beautiful. The evening meal and continental breakfast were good and hosted in the pub/restaurant. The family room was spacious. The option of a cooked breakfast would have been lovely.
