The room was comfortable and clean, nicely decorated. Comfortable bed.The hotel and parking feel secure. Breafast was good.
There was a funny smell in the bathroom. The hotel is close to a main road, quite busy at night...
Comfy beds, clean rooms, modern decor, well presented and clean bathroom, helpful and friendly staff, amazing food in the restaurant at good prices. Overall, excellent value for money.
Window was open when we arrived and the room was - and stayed - cold, as no sunshine on that side of the hotel. However, wonderfully comfy twin beds and we were cosy and warm once in them! One sheet was stained, but laundered, and replaced within 10 minutes.
Staff very helpful.
No hot water to wash or shower in morning. Noise from road keeping us awake to early hours. Very poor breakfast; croissant either stale or over baked. Would expect far better, including cooked breakfast for the money. Stayed at Ye Olde Crown in Edenbridge the previous night for same cost and much, much better value.
It was comfortable and well run,the staff were always helpful,I would certainly go back.
Very pleasant Terrace.
Service was slow at Breakfast No Lift No Disable Parking Places
Clean,comfortable room with all usual facilities.Excellent evening meals & 1st class breakfast.Friendly staff.Highly recommended.Pleasant 3 day stay.Many thanks...R&MJC,Lancashire.
Being told our party should go to bed as the staff were wanting to lock all doors. It was not ever midnight on a balmy summer evening. Not tab or credit allowed in hotel every item had to be paid for as ordered. Therefore all our party had to carry cash or cards.
Good pricing for comfortable accommodation good restaurant attached with qualified staff
Hot room with no air circulation due to the heat wave (Windows could not be opened) Poor wifi in the room
Great staff and food.
We got the small and noisy room at the corner of the house, with the traffic right outside the window. Maybe our stay would have been better if we had another room away from the road.
Saying breakfast was included on the Booking.com website but not saying that it was continental and if you did want full breakfast it was an extra £6.95
Location, appearance and very nice Interiors especially bar/reception area. Being an old building air conditioning not available however rooms were thoughtfully provided. Good food in restaurant.
Reluctance of management and staff to greet guests and customers in a friendly manner. Although hot food was available at breakfast information/menus were not to be seen.
Excellent reception from a member of staff we met in the car park and when checking in
Terribly noisy with a road running past the property and a very hot room wich necessitated having window open - hence more noise. Also fan didn't work in en suite.
Loved our stay here. Wish we could have stayed longer. Great staff, food and ambience.
Bed was comfortable
Room very Grubby, could have done with a good clean. Putrid smell emanating from plugholes. Shower gel from previous guest still on the shower walls. and when we arrived we were told we only had 1 room booked when we had conformation for 2 rooms for 2 nights from booking .com. And 1 very small window opened and the rest were painted shut. Even so the traffic was so very loud.
wifi had complications
Good location. Food is good. Pleasant ambiance in bar/restaurant. All staff very helpful and pleasant.
Bedroom and bathroom very small for two people and decor 'tired' looking. Black mould in shower cubicle (needs a bit of bleach). Uncomfortable bed, didn't sleep very well. Perhaps a mattress topper would help as you can feel all the depressions or buttons in the mattress. Pillows were quite lumpy.
The restaurant was excellent, the room spacey, clean and comfy
The breakfast had practically only sweets, no cheese or ham The hotel sign was not clearly visible, it was overshadowed by the restaurant, we almost missed it
The food was great !!
Rooms a bit small but comfy !
Courtesy and accommodating staff. Returned promptly valuable items left behind at modest charge (postage only).
Room was too small for 2 people, in my opinion just about a single room. Shower would not turn off completely, dripped loudly all night. Worst part was that when we reported it next morning staff member knew about it. Why did they not sort it out before? Carpet soiled, not good value for money and may even have slept better in my car!! Not a particularly good experience.
Good bar and helpful staff
disappointing breakfast and room on thesmall side
Got more than I expected from a pub inn. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Beautiful view from the lovely beer garden. Can't fault my stay.
Hot in room at night
It was a smal room at the top of the hotel. We have 1 pair of towels. I think it was a room for 1 person.
The room was quiet once I shut window, liked the pub downstairs, good parking, and liked able to walk around area.
In shower, soap holder was tiny! Should offer menu for breakfast
