The food was great on the 3 nights myself and my collegue stayed as well as the waitresses
The 2 male staff were not very friendly really and the shower had a cheek to be called a shower, even after making a call to reception, nothing was done, even though they knew there was a problem
Great rooms that are Nicky furnished. Good continental breakfast which is included
Cooked breakfast same price as continental but they won't let you swap one for the other? Insisted on charging for cooked breakfast? Bit silly as they are the same price??
Quirky in a lovely way. Staff very helpful.
Hotel right on main road to and from London, thus very noisy night and daytime! Also, because of traffic volume , access to car park and exit difficult. Attic rooms hot in summer especially as windows can only be opened a bit. Continental breakfast limited.
Good selection for a continental breakfast. Good location with easy access to London and the South Coast.
Shower had a musty smell but once notified, staff were quick to respond. Not able to get a credit for a continental breakfast and apply it to the cost of an English breakfast.
Comply bed, good wash facilities. Modern room. Decent quality food and beer.
Food menu lacked choice, and a bit too expensive. Food served was good but too heavily seasoned before served! Continental breakfast is included but costs the same as cooked(not included in room rate?)
We were greeted by the manager, who is very warm and friendly. We celebrated our 50th with our family at their restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was wonderful, all of which contributed to the success of the evening. We had very good service through out our stay and would most certainly recommend this establishment.
Size of the bedroom, rather on the small side. It was also very hot, although a fan was supplied. The traffic was also very noisy.
Friendly staff Good food in restaurant Clean room
Village clock chiming through the night WiFi optional cost
rooms very hot road noise dangerouse exit from hotel on to busy main road stated with english breakfast this was not the case on the first day on the second day english breakfast was offered only after i had consumed the continental option
Comfy room, dinner in restaurant was great value, breakfast was superb. Would definitely visit again
The position was excellent.
Street lighting very bright. Connecting to Wifi difficult, as we do not have a UK phone number.
Good location. Initially concerned about traffic noise as its on busy road but very little traffic at night so had quiet night
Room small. Some leaking from pipes on bathroom floor. Bar drinks very expensive! Good parking. Staff very helpful on arrival. OK for a one night stay as stop off on way to Dover.
Location good. Nice room . Good shower. Good breakfast, great free selection. I am sure the cooked one would have been fairly exceptional.
Food bit expensive. Also food bit arty farty. A bit of a gastropub feel about it, not for me as a business traveller.
The shower is excellent, really powerful and lots of hot water, I especially liked the complimentory toiletries and biscuits. The room is comfortable, but begining to look a little shabby, Bed was comfortable and clean.
Room and bathroom looking shabby, probably needs a new carpet.
Helpful staff Comfortable room Good food at dinner & breakfast Ample parking
Bathroom on the small side, poorly lit and with badly maintained fittings.
We stayed here 4 yrs ago as it is beside my son in Southborough. The beds were clean and comfortable.
Bathroom fan didn't work and there was a constant smell in the bathroom. When we stayed before we complained of the poor breakfast and it was no different on this occasion. Worst continental breakfast ever and other guests agreed. No ham, cheese or yogurts - merely cereals bread/muffins and hard croissants. Had stayed the previous 2 nights in Canterbury and it was from one extreme to the other. It was 100%. My son gets married next year but I definitely will not be staying in the Innkeeper's Lodge. Only 1 member of staff on duty and weren't interested in complaints. Beds weren't made and we had to go to reception for fresh towels milk tea bags etc. Staff reluctant to store cases on check out until we were lifted later in the day. Bad experience!
Location Bar Room
Staff Lack of fresh air storage space, hooks etc
The restaurant was excellent as were the staff. Standard overall was OK for an overnight stopover.
A towel was dirty and the floor wasn't hoovered properly. Lot of road noise. Not good for a quiet night.
Location, Helpful staff,
Could not open window in bedroom, Bedroom small,
The food, and with a varied menu. Outlook onto the greenest part of the town. Staff English or spoke good English and had a sense of humour. They seem very flexible in all they do - very few 'rules'!
Busy main road and access on and off that road, though I appreciate there is not a lot they an do to improve that
Convenient stopping point on journey. Lovely situation.
Friendly and casual.
Meals (a la carte) a bit expensive. Would help to cater for an ordinary menu as well.
Easy to find.Good parking.Pleasant décor.Comforable bed.
Reception on arrival was indifferent rather than welcoming.
Breakfast was very good.
Right on the main road so was a bit noisy.
Food in the restaurant was very good as was the service.
