Friendly staff and a very good, nicely furnished, restaurant.
I have a little trouble walking and I found the stairs challenging to get up to the bedrooms.
Ideal for where I was working, great food and a comfortable room
Clean tidy Pretty location
Small room Breakfast was limited and not very fresh, but then, it is included
Overall pleasant experience and would generally recommend to family and friends
Very disappointed with the quality and range of choice with the continental breakfast. It was basically cereal and toast!! No staff available to ask for alternatives, only Apple juice, strawberry or raspberry yoghurt, no natural yoghurt, the only fresh fruit were grapes, no choice of cheese or meats. Suggest they visit holiday inn to see how it is done!!
The people and décor were both lovely as was the comfort of the bed and cleanliness of the room.
My room had two windows and was right above the road which is very busy.
An excellent place for a one night stop to see family. Easy to find, clean, well appointed room. The continental breakfast was good with the exception of the coffee.
The coffee at breakfast was disappointingly weak.
The room were all situated behind security doors
Bathroom had flakey paint beside sink
Friendly welcome, and good complimentary continental breakfast. Morning paper available on bar. Nice atmosphere in bar. Good parking. A reasonable stay at a reasonable price for the area.
The décor of our room was past its best, and corridor carpet full of stains...a pity because it was stylish and attractive place when we started staying there. Just needs refreshing.
The general atmosphere and staff were very good.
The location of the room next to the road. No real problem for one night but I will ask for a different room on a future visit.
Bar area looks good on face value! Easy parking.
Outer window wouldn't close and it was minus 2 outside. Inner glazing couldn't hold out the noise of the traffic which thundered past the window all night. Noise of furniture being dragged around below us until well after midnight. Took ages for heating and hot water to get through and shower pressure pathetic. Bathroom cold. Cobwebs all over ceiling. Only 2 tea bags. No-one around at check out so had to just leave the keys and go, feeling worn out instead of refreshed!!
Friendly staff who were very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
Welcome to the facility was great. Friendly bar staff.
Breakfast was poor. Came down one person on duty. Not asked if we could be helped. no hot water, juice. Only continental offered we didn't want that, wanted cooked which was the same price then had to pay for it extra and didnt have any of the continental option. Time consuming morning unfortunately. Very disappointed.
Nice, clean and modern. Very comfortable and quiet rooms.
At dinner we were ignored street the desert menu was given to us.
The innkeepers lodge provide good value for money in fair size rooms. Bathroom though small was well appointed. Breakfast was freshly cooked and of a good standard.
Some road noise from main road. Probably easier to access in a car. Taxi's to and from station proved quite expensive.
Good value for money
All members off staff very helpful in all ways
Pleasant location, comfortable rooms, nice staff, great food. Quiet but family friendly.
Present atmosphere in bar and restaurant
Close to busy road and road noise in rooms. Felt like all the staff were new and didn't quite have the hang of things. Access to rooms steep if elderly, no lift
We were attending my Aunts 90th birthday party held in a room at Hotel. Meal was good and staff attentive in evening. Staff were friendly for whole of our stay.
Room was too warm at night and busy road meant we couldn't open window. (It was an exceptionally warm night for 31st October) Had to ask for refills at breakfast ie bread bananas etc. WiFi not easily available internet slow.
Food was lovely.loved the fact that we could have a bottle of wine at dinner and take the rest of it to our room.very quiet no street noise even though by a road and no noise from restaurant or bar.great price room tea coffee in room .good location as a base to visit penshurst groombridge or the sea.
Food quiet expensive.
The food was great on the 3 nights myself and my collegue stayed as well as the waitresses
The 2 male staff were not very friendly really and the shower had a cheek to be called a shower, even after making a call to reception, nothing was done, even though they knew there was a problem
Great rooms that are Nicky furnished. Good continental breakfast which is included
Cooked breakfast same price as continental but they won't let you swap one for the other? Insisted on charging for cooked breakfast? Bit silly as they are the same price??
Quirky in a lovely way. Staff very helpful.
Hotel right on main road to and from London, thus very noisy night and daytime! Also, because of traffic volume , access to car park and exit difficult. Attic rooms hot in summer especially as windows can only be opened a bit. Continental breakfast limited.
