Some indifferent staff but understand they were unexpectantly busy. Very thin walls in courtyard rooms, heard every movement in adjacent room.
Plenty of parking easy to find .Handy to Airport
Bar busy and food took way too long to arrive.Guests took their chances with everyone else on this.
Friendly staff - we were made to feel welcome on arrival and offered help with our luggage. Great English breakfast. Though not included as part of the room deal it was well worth the extra charge. Spacious bathroom. One place we stayed at had a bathroom the width of a small shower tray so it was nice to have one you could move around in. Good sized room. Not a rabbit hutch like some hotels.
Creaky floorboards. (It's an old (listed) building.) It was very hard to walk quietly due to the creaky floor.
The staff are ALL very friendly and helpful but special mention for Nolene who made us feel very welcome and went out of her way to help. Also a young man in the bar (Ithink Micheal) who was also very helpful. The lunch and evening meals were excellent with a really good choice of dishes really well cooked. Our room was good and was quiet in spite of being close to the road. A bit of traffic noise early Monday morning but I suppose that is to be expected.
The continental breakfast was very poor. No fruit although it was promised in the room literature. Just cereal, yoghurts, bread to toast and muffins. No real butter just sunflower spread (ugh!) and although there was jam there was no honey which I could have used on the yoghurt.
A great atmosphere a good choice of food in a clean and friendly run establishment
I was only staying one night
Room was very quaint with exposed beams, a bit of a challenge to get in the shower though! Food in the restaurant was lovely. Easy commute to the NEC.
Thick dust behind the telly, but then who looks there! Not enough staff in the bar. Room was stuffy, felt like no air was coming in even though window was open.
The style of the pub is nice and welcoming and seemed popular, people were turned away as restaurant was fully booked on a Sunday eve.
My bed was so uncomfortable that the next day my back was agony! I could feel the springs in the mattress and it creaked. Also there was a loud noise intimate coming from downstairs in the bar or kitchen, sounded like a chain saw, which lasted between 10-30 seconds every five mins or so. Luckily it stopped at closing time. Food was ok for a roast, yourkshires were like crisps, not good. I'd give this place 6/10.
Close to the NEC. Friendly staff. Very clean room, all usual facilities. Lovely evening meal.
Bit of a trek up and down stairs and along corridors because I had the room furthest from Reception! Noisy pipes (I think thats what it was) from another room was slightly annoying!
The quality of service is Fab and the venue tip top.We have stayed here on many occasions and have never been disappointed.
The VERY slow toaster on the breakfast bar!!
Comfortable, well appointed rooms, clean. Excellent food in the restaurant. Helpful friendly staff. Good value for money. Free WiFi.
Room servicing was a bit sketchy - one room was not serviced when we arrived at 6pm, although this was quickly remedied. Complimentary breakfast is a bit minimal, but perfectly adequate and fresh. Poor mobile signal, but this is not something in the hotel's control.
Evening meal - Excellent again - Recommended. Location for NEC - Excellent
Breakfast - Poor choice!! no real butter, pastries, marmalade. Biggest gripe - NO DECAF TEA !! I have a caffeine allergy and don't do coffee - HELLO its 2014 and every other hotel I have used does it !! Very tired decor in rooms - Upstairs does not match downstairs - shame. Busted toilet seat and loose taps on sink. Could do weth a proper shower screen rather than mouldy curtain.
the ambience was good the food was lovely and the staff were very friendly
due to the weather the room was very hot even with the window open.
Excellent location for the NEC, nice atmosphere, in a village pub, good food
Nothing to dislike
Poor reception had to go and find somebody to get drinks at breakfast Rang for room service - no answer No proper check out staff Food over priced Asked for quite room - placed overlooking car park and busy room
The location and the facilities were excellent for what we needed (Good Food Live @ NEC) the food was also very good and the whole stay was brilliant from start to finish. great hotel and already pre booked for next March (Crufts)
My wifes meal was warm not piping hot and it was immidiatley taken off the bill, brilliant customer service No negative coments at all for this hotel
Place looks lovely, large car park, pleasant surroundings.
1) Always takes too long to check in. 2) Having to pay on arrival. 3) Always glasses / plates left on tables. 4) You cant get downstairs in the morning as they don't open the door to let you out till 07.00!! As I was leaving at 06.30 had to go down fire escape to get out. 5) No one visible to be "in charge".
Being told breakfast is a 7am start but something would be left outside my room (cerials) that was not and then going out of hotel at 06:45 (I had to be at work at 7) to find they were serving breakfast. So therefore I went without the breakfast! Really bad communication. Room was too hot with no fans available.
Rooms in the courtyard were perfect. Clean and warm. Plenty of hot water and towels. Price was perfect. Continental breakfast was lovely. We were going to a wedding and this was the perfect accomodation for two nights. Bar looked a fun place and the restaurant also looked good with a fantastic menu.
No mobile telephone service but I'd say that is not the fault of the Innkeeper's Lodge.
Lovely pub and restaurant
Didn't like being in an outside room
Very comfortable, Good for purpose
I have nothing negative from my visit
We liked the price!!! The bed was very comfortable and the ambience was great!!
Room very hot and thought window open - only discovered the secondary glazing in the morning !!!! I actually stubbed my toe on the corner of bed and turns out it broken and I am in agony! The leg juts out even further than the surround!!
The bathroom was not up to standard, dirty walls. When we arrived our room had dirty towels still on the floor
Superb restaurant. Close to the NEC. Friendly staff.
Room nice, clean and comfortable, plenty of hot water and powerful shower. Would stay again.
Really special place to have a quality meal and nights accommodation at a fair price
