Bus stop outside the hotel so you do not have to drive into Edinburgh, just watch the bus no's is they can have the same number but go to different parts of the city
creaking floorboards outside the bedrooms
MATTRESS AWFUL FOOD DREADFUL
Place needs a freshen up, looks a bit tired. Staff attitude, was overcharged for breakfast, when I questioned charge staff member became agressive. Will not be staying here again
Cleanliness and friendly staff.
Unfortunately we did not get any sleep due to a generator from the next building keeping us awake . Have since received phone call apologising .
food and staff really good
room too small and car park very small
Location, parking and facilities excellent. Service was superb with helpful and friendly staff.
Was a lack of storage space for clothes but fine for overnight.
visiting relatives excellent location easy bus ride into town. Good value, staff friendly would definitely stay again
Convenient for travelling by bus to other parts of the city. Love the fact I can park my car for duration of stay. Friendly atmosphere. Food isbalways nice.
Corridors and stairways in need of decoration. Thought £128 was a bit expensive for B&B for two nights.
Staff were great, friendly and attentive, carvery was fabulous. Price of a pint was good.
Room temperature during the night got a bit much too handle, woke up being too hot.
The staff were very accomadating and friendly
Big comfortable rooms. Plenty space for family of 4. Good breakfast. Bus stop right outside hotel.
Some traffic noise at night. Rooms could do with some modernisation.
Easy access to Edinburgh and free parking at the hotel, optional breakfast menu.
Good location, breakfast as early as 04:30 am as we had to leave, nice room.
The water pressure from the shower was not good enough, however at the sink was perfect, probably some problem with the shower unit.
Very helpful staff. Cleanliness was excellent. Room was spotless and food was great.
The hotel are not easy find as the very small sign in the busy street. When we check in at the reception he said the breakfast was included, but when we eat the breakfast next morning, there have a very rude laday staff stopped my daughter choice some food, after i asked, she said the free breakfast only have small section of food to choice from, if you want more food you need pay €4/each . i do not mind the extral money which is ￡4/each, but i am very unhappy that nobody tell me they have two different choice at the breakfast, I have to paid ￡16 for my four family members' " real breakfast". they are cheating for "free breakfast"! and the lady staff work at breakfast are very rude!
The location was easily found
Very convenient for main routes and attractions and only half a mile from my daughters house. Bus stop just outside the front door Excellent food at very reasonable prices Best pint of Belhaven I have ever had.
No bar snacks available after carvery was closed. (Returned from the Playhouse at 10.45pm having had nothing to eat since 1.00pm - had to go back out for something to eat)
Nice big family room with a big bathroom, plenty towels & good shower. Great location & not too noisy for it's main road location. Good continental breakfast included in price but option of buffet cooked breakfast for only £3.99.
No plug for hairdryer near a mirror.
Very close to Edinburgh Zoo and amenities of St John's Road. Part of Toby Carvery so very easy to find. Staff were very helpful in explaining hotel facilities and check-in was quick.
We had a great stay at innkeepers lodge will stay again
The only thing I can think of is the bed could have done with more pillows.
The location was out of city center but the transportation was good to travel around Edinburgh.
Excellent links to/from Edinburgh, our first priority was a visit to the zoo, a 10 min walk from Hotel. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly in particular the nice fair haired girl with glasses, think her name was Cazzie, we we were told by the night staff breakfast was till 11.00 we arrived at 10.30 which was the closing time, but she went out of her way and provided continental breakfast for us, also must mention the young chap in charge of the restaurant on Friday night he was very kind. Room very spacious and spotless. Would recommend that a mirror be on the wall beside the plugs and hairdryer in room 104, mirror was above another unit which did not have any plugs. Overall an excellent choice, great value, fab carvery, cosy atmosphere, we will be back.
