An 8-minute drive from Edinburgh Airport, ibis Budget Hotel Edinburgh Park lies just off the City of Edinburgh Bypass and 30 minutes’ walk from Edinburgh Park Train Station.
Score from 745 reviews Good
This family-run hotel in Edinburgh offers free Wi-Fi, a 20-metre swimming pool and a gym. Portobello Beach is just 10 minutes’ walk from the building.
Score from 783 reviews Very good
Situated in the centre of Edinburgh, the Motel One Edinburgh-Royal is 5 minutes’ walk away from the train station, and only half a mile from the Castle. Guests can reach the historical St.
Score from 3209 reviews Fabulous
This Georgian building is in the city centre, 800 metres from Edinburgh Waverley Rail Station and the shops of Princes Street. It has free Wi-Fi and good-value en suite rooms.
Score from 860 reviews Good
We stayed here for one night before heading to the airport and home the next morning. Room was ample - bathroom was spacious. We stayed in the bar playing cards late into the evening - they were very accommodating. Good sense of humor all around. Breakfast buffet was delicious.
The mattress pad on the foldout couch was very dirty, but they promptly replaced it with a new one. Problem solved!
Handy for where I wanted to be
Wi-Fi is hopeless and breakfast too greasy
clean good value good location people kind
restrictive on food (carvery mainly) thought a full english should be included instead of continental but good all the same
Close to transport
Poor quality of food and breakfast, Rooms small and not of a high standard which we had been associated with
The roast dinner was delicious and the staff so helpful and friendly.
It was a short bus ride from Edinburgh..but buses run frequently 24/7 so we had no problems
Perfect location for easy access to City Centre. Would love to stay longer next time, excellent pub on the premises.
The staff were friendly and helpful during our stay. The cooked breakfast and the dinner we had in the restaurant were delicious. The hotel was a good distance from the central city; we were able to walk into the CBD without any issues and there was a bus station right outside the hotel as an easy alternative. The car park behind the hotel was a bonus as well. We would definitely stay at the Innkeeper's Lodge again.
Lovely and friendly, location great , food good great atmosphere and lovely big bathroom.
The bed is way past its best and even with a couple of drinks nothing could have made that bed comfortable , shame as everything else was spot on.
Location and size of the family room.
Unfortunatley the doule bed in the family room (#205) had a very soft mattress and you could feel every spring.
Location to airport Price
Cleanliness Very small rooms No ventilation
The staff were wonderful and made my young son feel at home. The room was clean and comfortable, if on the compacted size. This hotel is good value for money and with a bus stop outside, that goes straight to the centre and the zoo a 15 min walk away it is a very good location.
Great staff very friendly and helpful
Terrible bed, broken spring so big holes in mattress!!!
Excellent location for buses into centre. Staff very helpful Parking free
Room small and bed not too comfortable (prefer a hard mattress)
Our rooms were spotless and very clean. Our beds were made each morning, the towels were changed and tea etc. filled up. The zoo is about 10 minutes walk and there are several buses to take you into the city centre. There are several shops opposite as well as several other places to eat and drink at. The carvery is excellent and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I liked the fact that check out time was 12 noon as we were travelling by train and didn't leave till later. Both Haymarket and South Gyle train stations are within reasonably priced taxi distance. I didn't want to be right in the centre of Edinburgh but not too far away from it so this place was ideal in location.
There wasn't anything I particularly disliked. The road directly outside the building was quite noisy on the first night but seemed ok on the other two.
Very friendly hepful staff very clean comfortable accomodation..... Food excellent &GREAT value. Would recommend it
We have no complaints
good loctation for the Zoo, which was the purpose of the stay. friendly staff for the ones we saw. clean, good sized bathroom.
1 adult and 2 children yet we were given a room with 2 double beds. I would recommend this hotel but if you want a family room, check what they are offering for the bed situation, it was not ideal for our needs, we made do as it was only 1 night!
Staff friendly especially the guy that checked us in.
Rooms very small and decor requires updating.
Friendly staff, excellent food, great location, room very clean.
Mattress really soft, not a proper double bed.
Took the kids 3yr and 1yr to the zoo. This hotel was at an ideal location. Play park nearby for kids and also shops a short walk away. When booking i forgot to request a cot but staff resolved this within 20 mins. Continental breakfast had a good selection. Would go back!.
Buses right outside straight into the centre of town that run regularly until late. Take advantage of the day ticket (£3.50 adult and £2.00 child ) for travelling into and around town. Excellent value and can buy at all times of day). Takes 20 mins tops into and out of town. No noise from the bar and carvery below, at night. Tea/coffee/biscuits refreshed everyday if required. Toiletries were full (obviously checked before the stay began) Toby carvery downstairs at a good price. Very very reasonable for eating fresh and eating out in Edinburgh. Fruit and herbal tea provided at breakfast, not just normal tea. Free parking! Wifi was good all but the first afternoon. Room and bathroom was clean and well maintained, cleaned every day with fresh towels (if wanted). User controlled in room heating
No net curtains or blinds at the windows, so had to keep the curtains shut as people on buses were at right eight to see in.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. I loved the bathroom (but they should have hired a skilled grout person). The restaurant was very handy.
The noise from the traffic outside - I asked but a room on the back could not be found.
Location, Transport, Food, Bar, Room, Facilities
Bus stop right outside front door.
Helpfulness & Friendliness of the staff Location Options for eating all local and very good value for money! Close to airport
There is not a thing I can say we disliked.
Nice pub, and Toby carvery. Good selection of shops, banks etc nearby.
Road noise outside
