Cleanliness of linen and bathroom and location.
First time,( we have stayed here a number of times) the room had a tired feel . Paper peeling from walls and a large squashed insect not removed from wall ., Breakfast very mediocre .
Value for money/clean and new.
Prefer breakfast included even if I payed a little more. Not a lover of modern décor much prefer traditional but still very nice.
Good sized room, food was good too
Right by conference suite so was noisy and someone even tried to come in thru the connecting door
breakfast service poor, no tongues to handle bread, coffee help yourself from tin with tablespoon, how much does a coffee jug cost. orange juice ran out, staff topped jug up from cartons would have thought take jug to kitchen.
Polite and Friendly Staff; value for money
Food very good Location very good Staff excellent
I ordered a Twin bedded room but got a room with double bed and a put-you-up. I am 82 and my wife 72. 2nd night - the room above was allocated to a family with children running around- late night - early morning!!!!
Room very large Nice size TV
Staff were friendly & helpful.
Building in a very poor state of repair. Seal was gone around the bath water had obviously been leaking under the bath therefore the bathroom floor was completely shot. Also bedroom windows rotted & unable to clos properly.
I loved the idea of eating in the Hungry Horse restaurant within the hotel. Food was excellent.
We was situated by a door which banged every time someone walked through so was a little noisy at night.
It was cheap and close to the party we were attending, we would stay again if we needed to and the staff were very helpful and friendly and moved us very promptly and easily to another room after we were initially given 219 with the noisy fan. The breakfast was nice and having a hungry horse right next door was helpful with a small child to entertain.
The rooms need a bit of TLC and could certainly use some decorating and the first room we were given was 219 and the fan was very noisy - it was since given to 4 other family members after us complaining!!
We had a family room which was large and had 2 areas separated by an archway - the kids had their own comfortable single beds and our bed was also very comfortable ie they did not have to share a sofa bed. The room was clean and very quiet, a five minute drive from the continental ferry terminal. The breakfast was good, would be nice to see the coffee machine on the bar in the breakfast room in use, rather than flask coffee. Overall a really good stay.
The friendliness and helpful staff. As long as the price stays the same I will certainly return.
Could only book in for one night as you were full.
Good sized family room, comfy beds and overall reasonable for the price.
Tired bathroom decor and patches of mould.
the bathroom had mould and the taps were broken. towels were torn and dirty, quilt was torn and there was horrible smell
The executive room was very spacious, large double bed, comfortable, the room was more than adequate for a one night stay, we would stay again without hesitation. The parking was ample and having until 11am checkout is also a bonus. Adjoined to the accommodation is a reasonable priced restaurant with a good choice to suit most people. All in all, very satisfied.
Very friendly and helpful staff, pub food fantastic and good value for money. Breakfast served in the hotel lounge was also very good and piping hot. Fantastic comfy beds, quiet room and wonderful sleep.
I can't find a fault with this hotel.
Requested a quiet room Lovely spacious room
The breakfast was very good and staff pleasant.very hassle free overnight stay.
We thought that the room we had could do with some TLC. bathroom needed de-moulding and a general decorate. Looking a bit 'tired'.
friendly staff, clean rooms,good location
The staff were friendly, helpful, interested and informative. Nothing was too much trouble (even down to safety pins to help with my Goodwood Revival costume)!
Poor decor in room (torn wallpaper in bedroom and damp on bathroom ceiling), my husband is disabled and there is no lift (although the staff did offer to help with our bags). The menu at the 'Hungry Horse' is not particularly enlightened.
Nothing too like about the place
Everything rooms needed updating wallpaper hanging off the walls filler in the walls not even painted over and when told the staff was told as it was such a large room. This was supposed to be an executive room....
Next door to value for money restaurant.
Room very spacious Staff couldn't do enough for us
A wedding party woke us at 12.45 am and this noise continued for twenty minutes or so. Couldn't reach reception on telephone.
Noisy rude staff rubbish breakfast
