Car park Reception staff good. Wi fi
Bed was uncomfortable. Room had slight smell. No bedside lights just standard lamp on one side of bed. Could not turn off main lights without getting out of bed a nd walking across room. No breakfast included in price. Rubbish in car park and car with flat tyres.
Excellent Room and lovely welcome Great menu with value for money and excellent service too Hughly reccomend and will be staying again.
Not a bad price. Breakfast was ok but please real coffee and not sachet and hot water.
Room needed decorating. Was not that nice. Lots of filler in the wall. Bed looked uncomfortable but was actually ok. Mould in bathroom. Generally very unattractive room. Could be so much nicer if they just tidied it up!!!!!
Staff helpful and very polite
Attached hungry horse bit pricey for what you get
Great location, close to ferry, shops, days out, room was big enough for 2 adults & 2 kids. Restaurant was cheap.
Rooms could do with a paint. Children's entertainment was rubbish if children are over 9 too tall!!!
On arrival was assured by receptionist that they will solve the problem as for some strange reason there were two rooms booked for me. I needed only one. I am still have not be refunded the charge for the second unwanted room
Staff were very accommodating. The bar was brilliant with young kids and the noise of the wedding was mostly kept away from the rooms.
Friendly staff. Good parking, which is not easy to find in Portsmouth. Nice clean sheets and towels. Fair amount of tea, coffee and biscuit.
There was no notice for us to put on the door requesting not to be disturbed. Or room attendant not required to tidy up, or change towels. It is uncomfortable when attendants are knocking on the door when your in bed, on one previous stay a house keeper entered the room, obviously thinking we were not in the room. Some kind of notice system should be in place to save embarrassment on both sides.
the food was nice and drinks staff was great
the bedding was not the right 1 i think we had a summer quilt could not have heating on due to ashma
The Night Manager, Night Porter and two kitchen staff came out to bump start our car so the we could catch the Ferry back to Jersey in the freezing cold, -3 deg! at 06.45. A very BIG thank you to them all.
The state of the Ladies loo in the evening after a wedding reception but not the staff's fault, could have been checked and cleaned maybe.
The staff were very good in helping sort out the problems we had with the room we were given.
1st room - toilet cistern broken 2nd room - no heating and a force nine gale coming through bad fitting windows - sufficient to make the curtains blow away from the window! 3rd room - third time lucky. Room fine. Just pleased that the hotel was not fully booked as we would have been sleeping in our coats!
Nothing exceptional, just you're standard hotel.
Dirty wet towel in room on arrival. Bathroom tired and in need of renovation. Shower head needs descaling to make it work properly. Expensive for what it is.
The staff on check in were friendly, the location was good for us though and plenty of parking.
The room was not the best we have seen, cobwebs on the ceiling, the carpet needed a good clean, mould in the bathroom. the TV did not work, on checking out the young lady on the front desk needed a lesson in customer service, there was no eye contact and she continued to do whatever it was she was doing behind the counter taking our key card, no 'thanks for staying' or 'hope you had a good stay', not even a 'goodbye'!
Location was convienient, parking. Fair prices.
Staff were unprofessional and inexperienced. Lacked cleanliness. Limited facilities and poor range of food options.
Offered to stay another 2 nights within 3 months apart from Saturday night. When I did get to speak to a manager 2 days later she was very helpful
Phoned 3 times on day that my partner had a car accident to speak to a manager to try and get a refund on our room. she was apparently in a meeting and failed to call back before leaving for the day. I was very dissapointed. I then rang back next day and felt like I was continously being fobbed off by reception I rang quite a few times that day. The last time I rang I insisted that I would hold so I could get to speak to someone. When SUE Came to speak to me she was brilliant. She offered another 2 nights stay but no refund. Shame as we couldve used it for excess. Thanks Sue. To the other manager please get some more training in customer service. It wouldn't have taken you long to ring us back before u went home no?
The hotel staff are good, friendly and helpful.
Would of liked a table reserved in the restaurant if we were staying in the hotel instead of waiting for ages just to get a table, extra pillows should be put in the rooms too just one pillow each was not enough.
Location was close to where I was working. Connected to the restaurant.
Bathroom was a bit tired.
Comfortable , clean rooms - friendly helpful staff , plenty of parking
Bed was very comfortable heating in room en suite & lovely food in restaurant & not forgetting the value
The shower could have been a bit higher had to bend to get right under it
Location, parking, excellent helpful staff. Clean pleasant hotel.
Bed a little small. But adequate.
I liked the fact that it was attached to a bar and that everything was fairly priced in the bar , and the room was lovely and spacious
bed was comfortable, and nice and quiet during the night when the parties in the function room had finished.
room in need of new decor, wall paper peeling, bathroom door coming apart and mouldy grouting around the bath. Window catch broken so couldn't close properly. This normally wouldn't be to much of a problem but our room was the car park side of the building near the function room. Each night there was a function on until around midnight, with associated loud music and people talking or being rowdy in the smoking area which is near the hotel entrance by the car park and just a stones throw from our room.
Location next to motorway links.
Hotel looking a bit shabby.
Reported faults - light bulb replacement took 2 hours. Towel rail on but not working, bathroom cold. Bathroom light and extractor fan would not switch off, therefore, on all night on both nights. Reported Saturday 3 p.m. not fixed Monday 10.00 a.m. Facilities only considered fair for an Executive Room. Also function in nearby Lounge meant car park totally full when I got back at 8 p.m. and music was still playing at 11.30 p.m.
