Located in central London, the Saba Hotel London is just 5 minutes’ walk from Hammersmith Tube and Bus Stations.
Score from 653 reviews Good
The newly refurbished Hilton London Islington hotel is situated in the heart of fashionable Islington. This sleek, contemporary hotel is a 5-minute walk away from Angel Tube station.
Score from 570 reviews Very good
DoubleTree by Hilton London-Islington is set just off Upper Street and a 5-minute walk from Angel Tube Station and the Design Centre. It boasts a 24-hour reception, bar and restaurant.
Score from 806 reviews Very good
Not much to say, one or two nice staff, but recently change management, what a mistake to maker.
the new management size of room and the face that the management team openly spoke about splitting rooms to make more rooms, they are already small room, new management, just what to make money and not take the fact that they rely on guests. dining facilities have been stop, coffee machine are the bar not working during my stay, lift backup systems broken which could have resulted in someone being trapped, and the breakfast well no much to be said there. really no much at all.
The shower.The bed was ok.
No Wifi in the room.Tattie. Not at all good value.Room too small. No where to sit.
overall a good clean establishment
the colour of the room G5overall
The comfortable bed
The rather "gurgly" plumbing!
* Helpful & friendly reception. * Close to trendy Islington's bars, cafes, restaurants etc * Easy bus journey to/from the hotel to central london. * Breakfast area makes convenient lounge & WiFi area other times of day * Reasonable complimentary breakfast buffet selection
* Minor annoyance not having WiFi in the rooms * Double rooms would be small for two, but price is very reasonable for London
The heating was excellent.
The single room was very very small.
Poor and dirty
No hot water, nasty accommodation
This place does what it says on the tin. Low cost accommodation with good hot shower, bed and breakfast into the bargain - recommend
The location was good as is was right around the corner from where we needed to go, the reception was 24 hours which was really good
The staff were a bit distant which me and my friend found slightly rude and when we left there was no good bye or thanks for staying so the staff let it down
Considering that around angel all double rooms are at around 200£. This is the only one acceptable in the area. The hotel isn't really reachable by tube but there is numerous buses that take you anywhere all around it. Our phones died and we had the hardest of time finding the hotel. It is in fact in the Raj something hotel. I was there for a gig at the Isslington Assembly hall and it is a walkable distance to the venue. Perfect for the broke concert goer that I am.
We had one double room the flesh night and it was in the basement. It smelled a bit weird. The second night we had a triple room and everything there was fine.
I loved the location and the price. The food was okay and the staff friendly. There was plenty of hot water for showering.
The furnishings and fixtures were old and worn. The room was spartan to the point of bleakness.
Really enjoyed my stay here, really helpful, kind and professional staff. Great location.
I found it really clean and comfortable, i had quite a big room, I liked the Indian influenced decor. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was a really high standard. Good value for money.
I couldn't get a wifi signal in my room, I think it was the furthest from reception. Signal in the reception was perfect, and it was open 24hours.
Free (basic) breakfast Confortable bed Easy to find
No parking, unless you're checking in after 11pm and leaving before 8.30 the next day Staff was not helpful Lukewarm shower Took over 15 minutes to check in Not worth the money
Staff were helpful
The hotel is situated in the basement of a restaurant, which has mold/damp problems. The room could have been cleaner, there wasn't free wi-fi in our room. Not good value for money.
The hotel was a lot better than some other budget hotels in London. The area is cosmopolitan and has a wealth of shops. The Angel centre is close to Chapel Street market, worth a visit.
Don't come with a car as parking is very hard to find and the traffic wardens are ruthless. We did find a Naan bread on top of the wardrobe, so obviously nobody had cleaned there for a while.
If you don't require the luxury of American style hotels this is a great choice. Close to Canonbury Overground train/tube, taxi shop next door and good fish and chip shop. Free breakfast and towel change. Small room but fine for one. TV in room and wifi in lobby. Friendly staff.
Nothing to dislike
Perfect position in East London, close to bus station. Good price
Double room is pretty small Breakfast is poor
* Excellent value for London * Warm, felt secure, fairly quiet * Decent continental breakfast included with a fair choice of items * Close to trendy Islington & leafy Canonbury * 73 bus to central London makes it a convenient location * Quirky Indian decor makes a change from bland budget hotels * Breakfast area makes a pleasant lounge at other times of day.
* WiFi free but only available in lounge area (no signal in rooms) * Reception was professional but could be a little more welcoming! * Restaurant now closed. * Double rooms small (but adequate for a city break) * Bedroom cupboards showing their age
They gave me another room
The lack of care and cleanliness
Staff were very pleasant and friendly. Also quite helpful.
Bigger bath towels
Poor choice of Continental breakfast. Our room also smelled very strongly of sewage
friendly receptionist , location good about 5 minutes walk from railway station. would go back again if room was bigger and same price
bedroom was too small compared to the picture and impression created. just room for one person and only to sleep. couldn't take a friend back to the room. TV location in wrong place and wobbly fixtures did not feel secure. It was located above the head side of the bed.
Close proximity to Upper Street 15 min from Highbury & Islington tube station. Excellent price
2014 and no wifi in room, which is a shame as their wifi is blazing fast. Drainage (toilets/shower/sink) make horrendous grinding noises.
Helpful friendly staff Central location I would use again.
I would have liked a "without Breakfast" option with a cheaper price.
