nice people very friendly
my room wose extremely small
Very friendly and attentive owners. Comfortable room and easy to park on side street around corner which was free over the weekend (not sure about during the week). Good breakfast.
Very friendly and informative owner. Serves good breakfast.
Wifi is only available at common area which is very inconvenient for travelers.
The owners are extremely nice and accommodating. My wife is 7 months pregnant and they went out of their way to ensure she was comfortable. Great breakfasts in the am.
the room is clean and comfortable It isn't in the town centre but you can take bus to castle and prince street. very convenient
Good location, good breakfast, very quiet room
WiFi not available in room
Not overpriced, superb hosts nothing was too much trouble, great location in getting in and out of town. When you are on a bit of a budget this is a great place to stay. I'm not one of these that has to have a plush 5* room so long as I can get a good night sleep, make a hot drink, store my clothes and get a good shower or bathand the room is clean that's enough. Why come to Edinburgh and worry about your room. All you do is sleep in it. Great decor too. Thank-you International Guest House, we will be back.
Very clean and comfortable with hosts who were extremely helpful. Very good location for the city, short bus route, or walk of about 25 minutes. Lovely building with large rooms.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Hardy breakfast and quiet location. Located on a major street, so easy to find from the downtown area (a bit of a hike,or short cab ride).
Wi-fi only available in common area.
thanks to excellent bus facilities, this guest house is v handy for the Centre of Edinburgh.
the area is a little too suburban with local shops a short walk from the guest house.
Good location. Plenty of buses to city centre right from the front of the guest house.
It is by the side of a busy road and rooms facing the road can be very noisy at night. Hard to sleep.
Location. Availability. Car parking free nearby.
Not best value. Cooked breakfast was average. Shower area tiny and not particularly clean
Very friendly and helpful hosts. The room was spacious with a large TV.
We were a little disappointed with our room being below street level although it had plenty of light from a large window.
Decoration and service.
A bit outside the city centre but with good bus coverage.
Very friendly and welcoming
The hotel is very nice and clean.
-large rooms -cleanliness -close to the city center and bus stops
-i booked my reservation including breakfast however when we get to the hotel owner of the hotel said it is not included -there was a minimum credit card transaction requirement of 100 GBP which was not told before -the door was locked when we get to the hotel and waited the owner to welcome us for half an hour
The staff is kind and the cleanliness is ok. Location is quite far from the center but very close to the bus station, so it takes 15 minutes to reach the Royal Mile by bus
Too much expensive rate, maybe because I was there during Bank Holyday and EMF weekend. In any case, breakfast 8 pounds is is a little bit expensive.
The pot of tea for the tea bag the friendly man and staff that greeted us in the evening and early hours of morning. Love the room - should have stayed another night
Clean, convenient, quiet, comfortable room.
Breakfast starts only at 0800. Most mornings I needed to leave hotel 0745-0815 to meet business commitments. Earlier breakfast could be advantageous.
Very personable staff. Clean and quiet. Close to bus routes.
Scrambled eggs were kind of watery.
Very friendly, helpful couple. Excellent breakfast.
Can't think of anything.
The couple that hold the guest house is very nice and friendly. The house is really pretty.
The man was very nice, breakfast was okey and the rooms were very spacious.
On the other hand, location was dar away fron the xity centre, there was no WiFi in the rooms and the Lady was too picky about thibgs like joining tables in the dining room (where all tables were meant for couples). Not to say that the decoration was rather oldfashioned.
