We can cook what we want to eat in the hotel. The breakfast is very rich to choose.
We can't store the luggage. The bathroom is too small to turn around.
The location was excellent near the tube station. Room was big enough for two.
No TV. Only one sheet for two in the bed. We asked for one more but newer got it. No glasses at all.
TOP Location clean safe
I did not like the fact that the housekeeping guy waked me up every morning by knocking once and then opening my door to empty my wastebin although I told him every morning not to just enter into my room. He did not care. Privacy should be respected!
Great location, easy to access, and near to Camden/Kings Cross Good breakfast menu included, and friendly staff
- Location - Cleanliness - Very large breakfast
On transit on a budget after honeymoon : had stayed there as a student 10 years ago so gave it a go. You could pay more for a lot worse
Door didn't feel secure
This was a pretty cool place to stay. It had a lot of the good qualities of a youth hostel, but none of the serious drawbacks. The breakfast was excellent and I met a lot of nice people in the dining commons. Much better than staying in a standard hotel.
It was a bit noisy, but nothing horrible.
Great facility with wonderful staff, location etc.Fantastic breakfast.
The building was so hot, it was difficult to sleep at night. And the noise from the lift in front across from my window was loud.
The hotel was very close to UCL's engineering building, where I had to go. It is very cheap, and has a decent breakfast.
The internet is not the best, it is not very clear where the toilets/bathrooms are (but they are clean at least)
No plates, utensils in the kitchen. No air conditioning, inability to open the window, stuffed air in the room. Smells like in the Indian restaurant. The pillows were very small. Just one.
Breakfast was pretty good and convenient. Location is excellent, especially to the British Library, British Museum, and Russell Square.
Stuffy, no air circulation. Hot in summer; no climate control. Front desk staff were either rude or incompetent usually.
this is the best options for visitors looking for low cost in London. Is practice and well sited in one of the coolest site in London. you can walk to the Camden Market , British Museum, even to the city centreor you cant take the dobledeck buses and subway. you can take advantage of the university services for students, as cheap restaurant and laundry.
that is not a hotel exactly. so is possible you feel as something is lacking..there are no room service or daily cleaning. After 3 days you will pray for one.
breakfast, private bathroom, location conveniently near a metro station and a shopping area with dining options.
When I made this booking I didn't realize that this is still a functioning college dorm at University of London. The staff working there were all student workers, and you didn't get the same service you would from an actual hotel/hostel. I guess you get what you pay for.
Great location and very close to the tube. The breakfast was excellent!
It was pricey for a simple room and no kettle.
The location, it is central to everything shops bars underground. beautiful area especially summer time (park facing)
The bed not the best, but does for couple of nights. Long-term questionable.
The size of the room and price was great for London. We had a studio with own facilities. Having a working fridge was a bonus. We took our own tea, coffee, crockery and cutlery as I presumed these would not be provided and I was right. The halls are very close to Russel Square tube, less than 5 minutes walk away and very central for many of the tourist areas. The breakfast was substantial, with plenty of choice. We had an evening meal one night, which was basic but exceptionally good value. There are a few shops, restaurants/cafes and bars close by. Free wifi in the room and around the building. I would stay here again.
The room was extremely hot and didn't cool down completely even though the window was left open for our full stay of 4 days. The outside temperature wasn't as hot as in the room. The bed was a little creaky but it was more the heat which interfered with our sleep. We both slept on top of the covers for all four nights. No early check-in or secure left-luggage area.
The building is a labyrinth of poorly designed corridors, haphazard lighting and mine was a lumpy bed that even the most deprived charity shop wouldn't take. Despite specifically mentioning in my booking that I was travelling with an expensive racing bicycle and would appreciate keeping it close to hand in my room - and after a reply from the venue mentioning no refusal of my polite request - upon arrival I was denied point blank, with no advice or assistance, until after a lot of negotiation the site manager grudgingly agreed to put it in a secure, unused office behind reception.
The location was excellent for getting anywhere important because Russell Square is a one minute walk from its door. Very safe location and a shopping complex right near it for everything you need to grab. Breakfast is incredible with anything you can think of being available.
Staff weren't good at checking whether you had a room or not. Anyone could have just walked in to the building.
Everything was great except for the hard mattress.
That i am still waiting for the receipt of my payment...
This was a great place to stay while a family member was at her UCL graduation ceremony in Bedford Square last Tuesday
It was all good, and good value for money.
Close to subway, clean rooms
Very rude staff, bad beds!
Stayed for 5 nights and had no problems. Staff freindly and shared facilities were clean and tidy. Breakfast was plentiful also the food in evening was fine. £2 for main meal Location excellent 10 min walk from Euston down Woburn place. Also 15 min walk to liecester square No need to use tube. Stayed in room n146
Nobody cleaned room in 5 night stay.
Whilst the accommodation was basic it had what we needed. Close proximity to Euston and Kings x meant our trip to Wembley to watch the Challenge Cup Final was easy! Good range of shops and pubs nearby and a pretty tree lined square nearby. Friendly unobtrusive staff. A fridge!! Good shower! Bed in the wall. I left happy :)
Arghhhhhh!! No full length mirror! And forgot to take a mug for my morning cuppa so gad to go and buy one. :(
