Super location as was very close to all major shopping areas and nightlife. Staff were excellent and were always willing to call taxis for us whenever we needed them.
Staff, atmosphere very relaxed
Flickering light in the bathroom not addressed. Bathroom not cleaned
Hotel is situated close to cathedral and shops, buses as well, wireless in the room, cable TV , it's ok for couple of days, I would come back
No hot water, rather poor cleaning
The room and hotel in general needed a lot of tlc. there appeared to be no staff apart from receptionist on duty. The night club next door played really loud music all night until 7.30 am
Private room was en suite when I though it was a private room with a shared bathroom.
I had to lift the bed as something rolled under and it hadn't been swept or hoover in a while. Timber laminate on the floor so easy to clean under beds. Although room was clean elsewhere else.
Nearness to the train station and other amenities. It is worth the value and I will stay there again
The rooms not being ready by 14 hours
The Hostal room were spacious and confortable. Almost felt as good as if I was home.
Good central location in the centre of town near shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. The check-in was quick and efficient, and the place was clean. Free tea and coffee in the kitchen along with bread and jam. Games room with televisions and pool table. The price at weekend was good compared with other options. Heater in the bedrooms meant they were warm on a cold and wet night.
The place was a bit bare and clinical and the beds weren't the best, but layout of the rooms and bathrooms were OK.
a bit noisy during the night but staff sorted it out
The room is clean and cosy, the bath room is a bit worn out but not that it bothers. Everything works as it should.
There is no window to get a breath of fresh air.
Good value- clean, compact and the shower is excellent :-)
We stayed in a seperate bedroom for two (part if the hotel) which has no windows as it is in the basement- so the air felt unfresh at times and the ventilation didn't work (also in the bathroom- I was suprised it didn't have mould growing in there as there's no air to breathe!). On the Saturday, a party was happening in the building next door which would have kept us up all night if we hadn't been that 'merry' :-)
I felt closed in.There is no access to the outside unless a person leaves via the front entrance. It would be nice to have an area where guests can sit outside at leisure.
The single bed in a mixed dormitory
the central location easy to find friendly staff clean and tidy good facilities, booked a double room with un-suite
they didn't supply towels
Location to city centre
No air con
Location was good
Dirty ensuite looked like it hadn't been cleaned properly. Kitchen facilities dirty & there was only 3 cups for the whole place
I liked that tea and toast were always available as standbys, the large and well equipt common room, the price of the accommodation and the fabulous location.
Hot water never seemed available in the bathroom enclosed within the room I resided in (Room 14). Hot water was instead attainable via the shower/toilet room just along the corridor though, which I appreciated enormously :-)
Great shower, good location, room is in the basement, but if you know that, then you can't really complain can you.
Room is in the basement and smells like it is in the basement. If you leave the card in the holder you can hear the electricity surging around the room. We just pulled it out for the night and the problem was solved. The doors are thin to the hall way and you can hear people walking around. Fortunately the walls between the rooms appear to be thicker.
Location, value for money, friendliness of staff, helpfulness of staff
Room was comfortable, but bathroom was very small.
close to the city centre nice staff
dirty kitchen small room
location and 24hs front desk + luggage store (should not be charged for this)
probably the worst part of it was the spider walking in my face that woke me up the first night...such a bad experience (not very clean unfortunately)
The fact you were able to make a tea or coffee when you wanted and the offer of toast was a brilliant idea.
The entrance and corridors were a bit drab, also tiles and laminate flooring in bedroom was very slippy when wet.
cheap and (not so) cheerful but did the job
horribly noisy with people banging doors until 5 a.m. untidy kitchen
The room was fine
There was a mixup in the room, somebody was staying in my bed. I told the staff about it twice, but still they woke everybody in the middle of the night and tried to sort it out, instead of just checking it before. That was awful. Also it was the most expensive hostel in ll of my two-weeks Great Britain trip.
