The guest house is ideally situated between Windermere and Bowness Bay allowing easy walking access to both places and the facilities offered. The guest house is run by Steve and Vicky who are excellent hosts, very attentive and obviously love the area the live in. The facilities are clean and to a high standard with breakfast being no exception. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.
We found Steve & Victoria extremely friendly & helpful. The Guest House was one of the cleanest we have stayed in & believe me over the past 10 years we have stayed in hundreds! The full english breakfast set you up for the rest of the plus there was a good choice cereal, toast, fresh juice, coffee, tea etc. The rooms had everything in them you could possibly want & we found our room lovely & quiet. An added bonus was being able to park right outside.
We can honestly say that we couldn't find any thing we didn't like.
On arrival we were met by Steve, he was very welcoming and showed us to our room on the 2nd room. The room was lovely lots of space especially in the ensuite. Plenty of choice on the breakfast menu. Also got a chance to chat to Victoria the following morning and they were in no hurry to get you out the door.
Hosts made us feel at home. Generous breakfast. Quiet and convenient location
Excellent location, guest house is close to Bowness and Windermere. Steve and Victoria are thoughtful hosts who are attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. Room was lovely and food excellent, especially the homemade cake. We shall be going back. Pauline and Jeff
It was an excellent choice and reminded us of all the great times we had while we were over there. Fabulous room, very warm welcome, wonderful service and amazing breakfast!
We had a lovely stay at the Invergarry, our hosts were very welcoming. We stayed in the garden room with our dog 'Twix' which was cosy and private where we had our tasty breakfast served to us in the morning....fab!
The owners were very friendly, helpful and most welcoming. A lovely small guest house, with comfy bedroom, and nice en-suite. And a lovely cooked breakfast ,with tasty foods. Would really recommend anyone to visit this guest house. The owners create a nice atmosphere here, and it was sad to say goodbye. For value for money this place gets top marks from both of us. Go there !
Nothing wrong at all.
Clean room. Very helpful and friendly staff. Close to the lake and the city center.
Nothing to dislike.
Room was light & airy, breakfast was up to standard for which Lake District renowned.
Very small guesthouse with severely steep stairs to rooms, thin threadbare towels, lumpy mattress.
Hospitality. Great breakfast. Wonderful helpfulness for host and hostess. Good to have alternative of a blanket instead of hot duvet!
Room a little small but adequate.
Stayed for two nights, the owners were excellent and so was the guest house. From our arrival we were made really welcome by steve, the room was fantastic. Clean and comfortable, and the ginger cake was a great touch. Breakfast was amazing. Will be going back again.
Loved all the thoughtful extras that were provided - the cafetiere in the bedroom, homemade jam and marmalade at breakfast and the excellent packed lunch - all so willingly provided.
The friendly welcome and pleasant atmosphere. The room was clean also.
The early check out and early breakfast.
The whole package. The garden room.. The food.. The service .. The location. All in all it was a perfect place to stay and the owners Steve and Vicky were wonderful and treat us like old friends rather than guests.10/10
I didn't like the fact that we were not staying for more than the one night!! If I was ever going to get snowed in anywhere then that would be heaven for me!!
Room was clean, quiet, contained all necessary items, plus a two pieces of cake to have with our coffee. Lots of great information about windermere and the lakes, could also walk from the guest house to the local town. Breakfast cooked to order and offered different choices than the standard full english.
Fantastic hosts creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful plush room. Immaculately clean.
The Invergarry Guest House is well located near to restaurants, pubs, shops, and a short walk from the main transport connections of Windermere train and bus stations, from which you can reach many of the different villages and lakes. The room was clean and nicely decorated, and the staff were friendly and informative, offering tips on walking routes, and activities. The breakfast menu was varied, and the food was delicious.
Invegarry is by far the best place we have stayed in The Lakes we will never stay anywhere else from now on. Steve and Vicky are great at what they do we stayed in the garden room which is amazing and was spotlessly clean. Breakfast is yummy and the home made cakes are a lovely touch plus Vickys Jam is fabulous! Can't wait to visit The Invegarry again.
If ever the hosts made the B&B experience, this was it. we could sense the instant we arrived how all the little thoughtful touches Vicky and Steve have provided to make this place extra special from the home made cakes and jam, bespoke guide book to hikes around Windermere from the house, and Steve's photos for sale have all made this a lovely personalised B&B experience. They seem happy at their work too, and long may they continue to be.
Location, parking, cake and biscuits in the room. Friendly hosts!!!
Small room and small bath towels, no tissues in the room, shower was hard to operate and the toilet was difficult to flush. We like a shower just before bed but no showers were allowed after 22.30. The breakfast hours were very limited too.
Comfortable warm room in a small but friendly guest house in a quiet area but within walking distance of amenities. Great breakfast with good choice, helpful and friendly host and hostess, beautiful area to stay.
Nothing to dislike.
To be able to book one night only. Attic room was very airy, very grateful to two opening windows due to hot summer weather. Breakfast cooked to order and hot. Homemade cake on arrival and personal touches. Come and go as you please. Fresh milk
Having to be booked in by 5pm. Felt attic room would have been a little on the small side had we been staying for longer, but perfectly adequate.
service location breakfast rooms owners free wifi cake
nothing, everything was perfect
