This Hotel is a hidden gem!The staff are very friendly and helpful while the food is worthy of Michelin star.This hotel has a boutique-like feel but at reasonable prices.I Will be returning on my next visit to Scotland without doubt.

Could have better Wi Fi connectivity throughout the hotel not just in the lounge

The hotel was more like an extension of one's own home .... the staff were attentive but not overwhelming, the facilities were clean and modern but didn't lose the classic feel and the surroundings were peaceful.

Extremely well presented lounge, reception, dining, staircase and guest rooms, new bathrooms. Evening bar meal was ecellent. Breakfast - every item was of a very high quality.

Bed a little uncomfortable and every turn woke my spouse.

We were only there one night but thought it was great value and we pleasantly surprised with how great our stay was. We would definitely recommend it!!!

Arrived over Xmas period decorations sparse, artificial trees in Scottish highlands!! Should be better than home. No atmosphere whatsoever. Booked stay to experience a Scottish Hogmanay. Nothing on at hotel, whatsoever no effort made by hotel to make it a memorable stay. The hotel made out lack of tables for dinner at new tear, but they stayed empty most of evening but had reserved on them. Either people changed their mind about going, or a ploy to make out they were fully booked. Scottish warm welcome was not apparent should have stayed at home. Only Redeeming factor where the polish staff, lovely. The food was lovely, couldn't fault quality. The price was expensive, the price to stay was reasonable but food made it quite expensive in the end. Over 200 for 3 meals not even 3 courses on two nights. Couple of drinks each night. Room in attic was very small could hardly get around bed, clean and tidy but again bigger room at home. Quite disappointing. Hotel half full was never offered an upgrade.

Very friendly welcoming staff, always helpful, good log fires, delicious food and good choice of drinks, especially single malts. A great place for relaxing & walking; we walked from the hotel to wonderful waterfalls every day.

Very clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful. I had misunderstood Wi Fi being only available in the public rooms (my fault for not reading booking conditions carefully) I needed to carry out some Skype calls in privacy and the hotel manager was very helpful in reallocating me to one of the bedrooms which actually received a Wi fil signal. Ambience, log fires and real ales. Great breakfast and comfortable sitting room to relax in after a fine meal in the Bistro.

My room was on the third floor, but this is an historical building and the quaintness was worth it.
