“ Friendliness and helpfullness of staff. I asked if I could leave my car at the hostel for 10 days or so while I toured nw Scotland by bicycle and this was no problem. ”

Just 10 minutes’ walk from Inverness Rail Station, Inverness youth Hostel offers free private parking and bicycle storage. With a communal kitchen, continental and full English breakfasts are also available at this hostel. There is a 24-hour front desk and a garden for guests to relax in. Eastgate shopping centre is a 10-minute walk from this hostel. Hootananny, a popular music venue, is just 15 minutes’ walk away. Culloden Battlefield and its visitor centre can be reached after a 10-minute drive. The banks of Loch Ness and the country village of Dores are both a 20-minute drive away. Urquart Castle is within 30 minutes’ drive of Inverness youth Hostel. All rooms have shared bathroom facilities and are simply furnished. Packed lunches can be arranged on request and luggage storage is available. SYHA is a charity and membership organisation. They were very friendly, clean & catered to my food allergy - gluten free. A bit far from the station & is up a hill - had to get a taxi as luggage was heavy.

The hostel was absolutely clean. The kitchen facilities are great. The stuff helped me as my locker didn't open. The hostel is a short walk from the city center, therefore parking is free. I met lots of friendly travelers. Towels cost 2£.

It was clean, good big kitchen area, friendly and helpful staff. The noisy people in the next room, but were dealt with by the helpful staff.

Bunkbeds are not metal, thus they are solid and don't squeak. Plenty of room in the room with an accessible locker for everyone. Also liked the sink in the room. LIke the bed light too. You guys seriously need recycle and composting bins. Get with the program.

I was impressed by the city and Inverness youth Hostel just coplemented it. Unfortunately I spent there one night only so I could'nt enjoy all those goodies which Inverness youth Hostel offers. However, I slept there very well.

It's quite clean but this is the only thing that I would say about this hostel. Well, I think it would be much comfortable if they can provide hair dryer for guests.
