No lift to top floor
beds no heating at nights or day
Comfortable bed, good size en-suite, quiet location and off street parking. Plus a friendly welcome upon arrival. Hotel is by the Hoe and walking distance of city centre and the bar and restaurant area by the harbour.
Nothing of note
Breakfast was extremely good
Lovely staff, very helpful.
Grubby carpet in cramped room. Staff had to turn shower on and off each morning. Broken window in toilet, due to b fixed in two days. The whole place needs lots of renovations and some attention to detail.
great location right on the Hoe,short walk to lots of resturants and cafes!
Early in morning a road sweeper sounded like an airbus 747 coming into land!
Central but peaceful location, friendly and helpful staff, attractive 'period' building immaculate room overlooking the Hoe, good off road parking, excellent breakfast.
Location of the hotel
The door had about 2 inch gap at the bottom of the door so I could hear every thing around me so having a poor nights sleep
A most comfortable room with many extra touches - fresh flowers, robe, biscuits etc. Excellent choices at breakfast. Easy walk to the Hoe and shops.
Staff were very polite and welcoming.
The position adjacent to Plymouth Hoe was great. The staff could not have been more helpful both over the phone and personally.
Overall was comfortable. Breakfast was good.
The decor in the single ensuite could do with updating. I felt cost of room over priced and parking limited.
lovely location, friendly staff, best cooked breakfast ever had in a hotel, free parking, good value for money ,will definnitely revisit
Location was excellent to explore the city on foot. Staff was friendly and helpful. The building is a well-maintained historical building (but no lift!). Breakfast was nice.
One of the twin beds in our room was deformed. There was Wi-Fi but we failed to logon for some reason.
Everything Breakfast. Was perfect Staff so welcoming
Good breakfast Good location Parking! Comfortable pillows
Only soap and hair conditioner in the bathroom Very squeaky bed and soft mattress
The breakfast was excellent
The reception seemed to be all family members, some of which were surly and unprofessional. The rooms were small and noisy No lift
Everyone there is very friendly, the room was clean and the bed especially comfortable. Breakfast was really delicious, there is an option of a full English, fish and eggs, or just continental.
The coffee was instant. Ah well, plenty of cafes in the area that serve the real deal.
Location, freindliness, closeness of car parking which even though outside on the street was safe and free ! - regretably it was raining hard so to be able to get into the hotel inside 30 seconds was welcome !
I had to leave quite early for 7.30 Bodmin appointment so missed what was reported to be the best cooked breakfast in Plymouth !
Very tired hotel in need of investment in fixtures and fittings and decor. (stained and tatty furniture in rooms), lacks attention to detail. A bit Faulty Towers but ok for 1 night. On the plus side good attentive staff and a decent breakfast.
Well cooked and tasty breakfast with a wide range of options, good staff.
Room was just about adequate, but the sink had no plug and the shower was a mere trickle and that's being generous!
Staff were excellent and couldn't do enough to make us welcome. Great location on the Hoe for the seafront and the Barbican.
Leaving, we will return!
Staff friendly Lovely breakfast particularly the bread and bacon
Odd light not working Some finishing in updated bathroom below standard Cheap loo seat sliding off pan!
The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and the position of the hotel is ideal for both business and pleasure
The journey up to the third floor! ... but we had been told about the number of stairs. When we go to the room it was excellent
