Friendly and helpful reception
Lack of parking on site though advertised.
lovely breakfast and plentiful and great bed.
car park in the rain. shower a bit small and pokey.
The location being so close to the beautiful Plymouth Hoe and yet very close to the city centre and all amenities . Excellent breakfast .
Noisy staff ( chatting loudly ) when not around to help.
Wifi, breakfast & staff really nice
Room we had was terrible wallpaper hanging off, a big slope across room (wierd) pillows like paving slabs. Not worth the money, use the Drake instead!!!
Location and facilities wonderful. Management went out of there way to direct us to places of interest. Breakfast outstanding.
Staff friendly. Well turned out. Breakfast cooked fresh to order. Clean and well presented dining room.
No bad points.
Made to feel welcome, Betty, Roy and little Roy and all there staff made it a lovely stay for us, nothing was too much trouble for them, will definitely stay here again. Thanks guys
The Invicta was a really nice change change from my normal chain hotels. The room was a joy with a beautiful high ceiling and great decor and while the dinner menu was simple but very tasty. The free Wifi was a bonus, being good enough to stream live football, unlike many other places I've stayed.
The room had everything we needed. Member of staff, Carole was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast couldn't be faulted. Location and parking was excellent.
The other members of staff should to take note of Carole's customer service. The room needed some TLC on the decorating side, but couldn't fault the cleanliness.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel very well located. Very good beds (I'm very sensitive on the mattress quality), very good mattress. Good quality/price
Bedroom carpet is old and bathroom is average plus
The upkeep was excellent as were the staff. We arrived late and they directed us to a great pub nearby, breakfast room was light and airy. Great breakfast and service. Decor and table layout all very elegant.
The bed was very hard- not our thing!
Hospitality was excellent nothing was too much trouble for them to accommodate your needs
Evening menu not very appealing during the winter months.
Excellent breakfast, quiet location as well as close to Plymouth Hoe
Hospitality second to none!
Very comfortable bed Location
Very small room and a tiny tired shower room.
very welcoming, open all hours,, and friendly, nice atmosphere when at the bar.
only one night
Rooms were inviting, warm and cosy, bathroom was a decent size and the bed was confortable.
Rooms were a bit small but you get what you pay for.
Warm and friendly on arrival. Free upgrade to double room. Excellent food, lovley home cooked breakfast, personal service rather staying at huge hotel chain.
Location, Food, Helpful staff. Very comfortable bed and a beautiful breakfast.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Will be going there again.
The ambiance of the building, including the quirky slope in the floor in our room. The location to the Hoe and Barbican. Staff were very helpful.
We picked the top floor[3rd] because it was cheaper due to no elevator. We did not realize how hard it would be to climb the narrow, spiral staircase with our suitcases and backpacks. It would have been good if someone else took them up [LOL]. Also, the bed was a bit too hard for me. I found I had to lay on folded towels for extra padding.
Quiet, comfortable, helpful and friendly which felt very good on a stormy evening. Nice breakfast. All I needed for an overnight stay. Thank you!
Great service with a personal touch cosy bar and warm welcome.
No complaints whatsover
Cleanliness, comfort, very friendly and helpful staff - excellent choices for breakfast
Arrived at 8 pm after travelling for nearly 8 hours to find restaurant closed. Understandable at this time of year I guess, but still disappointing.
Excellent would come again
Shower was a bit broke so head wouldn't stay where it was supposed to No wifi - in room
