Derry has some of the friendliest people iv ever met. Def recommend to anyone to visit and stay in iona hotel.
A bit noisy in the morning with traffic but not too bad
uncomfortable beds, worst mattresses ever
Great value and a great location just across the bridge from the the city
This place is in a brilliant location, excellent Breakfast and lovely Staff. I would stay again :)
Nothing (Except the Lady was a Liverpool fan ;) )
Staff were super friendly and extremely helpful
One of the beds was broken, no back support in the middle of the bed.
The breakfast was lovely The Staff were friendly The value for money was excellent
Beds arn't the most comfortable but for £35 a night you cant complain
The price was reasonable for this property and the breakfast was nice
Parking could be an issue but was not at this time
Nice and clean with tea coffee making facilities plus biscuits in the room ;-) Helpful staff. Price included breakfast (choice of cereals, croissants, yoghurts, juices, hot food). Just over the bridge from the centre of the city.
The Iona was clean the staff were very welcoming & friendly and it had convenient parking.
poor cleaning and Guests of the other rooms too noisy all night without intervention of the staff.
Very comfortable room , lovely breakfast , very friendly staff , safe area , next door to frienly homely bar with no tension .
Nothing to dislike , I would definately use again if I was in the area
Location was handy, an it was perfectly OK, but just a little unwelcoming.
Quite noisy until the pub below closed. Not very welcoming staff when we checked in.
It's age was represented in all areas. Pieces of history every where. Breakfast was plentiful and made to order. Staff were attentive.
Shower didn't drain when toilet flushed, leaving water around ones feet.
breakfast was the only good memory.
There is no parking close by, so you have to walk 2 blocks with your luggage. Make sure to check your bathroom and room very well, as we found the shower was plugged and still had hair from previous guests in it. We had no clean towels and a dirty towel still left in the room. The couch pull out bed was stained and very dirty. Paid way too much for the low quality here compared to other places that we paid less and got much better quality.
asked for a triple room and got room with 5 beds lady at reception (she was at the pub behind the counter when we checked in) was very nice coffee and tea available in room
public parking on the street, usually you can find somewhere to park no lifts, no floors climb with luggage
Booked a double with shared bathroom but got an en suite instead at no extra cost. Convenient location.
Noise from patrons leaving pub downstairs in early hours of morning. Parking was a little difficult.
the location was great. the price was goog and breakfast was good.
a lot of stairs no lift. rooms seems old and there was BAD SMELL OF SMOKING
Clean, large room. Private bathroom. Comfortable bed. Nice pub next door welcomes new people
Could be hard to find parking. It's in the city but there are no good restaurants near by. Very noisy at night due to the traffic. Londderry is not a pretty city.
Closeness to the city centre. Good breakfast.
We booked a double-bed room but got an apartment in car park building (2 minutes of walk from Iona Inn). What we didn't like: - Noisy place (big crossroad near bridge). - Cleanliness - dirty windows and kitchen (appliances). - Uncomfortable beds. - Lights in living room didn't work. - WIFI only in the Iona Inn (not in the apartment).
The place was not fancy but was very well maintained. It was very clean and the owners and employees were very friendly and helpful. The location was very good, right across the river and within walking distance of the walled city. I would go there again.
Quite a lot of traffic in front of the hotel.
Nice room (bathroom excluded) and within easy walking distance of the city center.
Nearby parking isn't free except for evenings/nights and sundays. Toilet had issues flushing. Shower curtain was very mouldy.
- breakfast was great - bedroom was ok
The shower was impossible to regulate. Too hot or too cold. FYI: need to pick-up the keys in the pub next door
Host was lovely and very informative. She even provided a gift for our Wedding Anniversary.Room great size and facilities clean. Close to thecwalled city of Derry - within walking distance. Breakfast great.
No Parking had to park in payee carpark- although free overnight. Bit of a haul to bring luggage in. On busy road and husband who is a light sleeper complained of noise in morning. No place to eat close by.
It was unclean, the lights didn't work, the shower didn't work, door hanging off locker, no double bed which we paid for.
