The owner was excellent. Welcoming and friendly. We knew Inverness itself - but if we did not she was happy to inform us of necessary information. I would be happy to stay again for a no frills experience.
Really friendly reception when I arrived. Took time to explain things to me.
Great owner. Very knowledgeable about the area. Comfortable room and nice buffet breakfast.
Room comfortable, wifi excellent and the owner made us feel most welcome and advised us on other trips. Even though the breakfast was continental it was more than enough and a good variety with fresh fruit as well.
There was nothing to not like!
very friendly, facilities good for a small B & B
Very friendly and helpful. Really appreciated the help with practical arrangements. The accommodation was very clean, and though the bedroom not very big it was well appointed and the bed very comfortable.
Had there been an offer of a cooked breakfast, or a boiled egg, ( which I would have expected in the room rate )I would probably have taken it, but that wasnt on offer! Surprising considering that many of the guests must be American!
Friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Dog friendly. Screen showing photographs of local area taken while on organised excursions.
No toast for breakfast just rolls and croissants. Had to pay in full on arrival which we have never done before or since.
Owner. Lovely lady, made us feel at home, and very knowledgeable. Facilities were very clean, room comfortable and continental breakfast plentiful. This is a very good guest house
Parking is a bit cramped, but the owner is moving to larger premises with better guest parking, and I am sure she will be very successful there.
The room was very clean and comfortable. Miss Wendy was very kind and helpful. It's very close to the city centre.
Breakfast could be enriched with more options, not only cereals and jams.
Lack of parking
close to city centre by foot
the lack of space for guests to unwind after long day out ,areas outside at rear were reserved for the dog to use, while the front area was on the street so had to be seen drinking in the front yard.
Friendly landlady. Wendy was really friendly and helpful. Possibly because she has her own tour company, she has lots of connections and was able to suggest excellent alternatives when we were unable to book on our preferred boat trip Comfortable beds Clean and a tidy rooms Plentiful breakfast and attentive service Proximity to the town is very close to all the main amenities
Ventilation in the bathroom could have been better The wifi did not work with Macs though it is fine with other machines
Wendy was very helpful and provided us with excellent sightseeing ideas.
Very difficult to park a large vehicle in the off street parking. If you have no car there are no problems.
Position close to the centre.
Parking is a little narrow. Breakfast could be more rich.
convenient location pleasant hostess
room very cramped continental breakfast only with stale croissants
Friendly host, gave good advice with a personal touch.
Quite a bit of noise from the street.
Close to town. The friendly son.
The dog in the eating area. Tight parking. The opinionated owner.
Dog smell in breakfast room, c Breakfast was disgusting. Pancakes, croissants, Bread rolls ..all prepackaged white and COLD.
Very friendly, helpful staff. Good bathroom.
On a busy main road. Room was very small on the ground floor and the window was facing the back yard, not very private . Breakfast was not very good the only b&b on our 12 nights of travel that only had continental with not even a toaster to toast bread or heat pancakes. For the money I would expect better.
Room was clean and neat.
Breakfast was not very good. No toast available, pastries were stale, very few options, no choice on fruit.
Everything about our stay at Iona was fantastic. Wendy could not be a better host. She answered all of our questions and helped us decide where to go and what to see during our time in Inverness. The house is great. Very clean rooms and in a great location. Breakfast every morning was a wonderful perk. I would highly recommend staying with Wendy if you are ever in Inverness - I know I definitely will if I ever make it back. In addition, Wendy has a tour company, Highland Tours, that I would look into if you didn't rent a car. We did everything she told us she does on her tours and weren't disappointed by anything!
Wendy was a very friendly host and knowledgeable. She also offers tours to various places which are well worth it. We visited Skye and saw some fantastic places and views. The location is 5-10 minutes from the center and a short drive from Loch Ness and the surrounding sights.
The breakfast was continental only which was the only negative for me personally.
Dog in dining room
Very caring hosts Wendy and Stephen. They seemed to be keen to provide info and solve any of our travelling problems. Wendy,s provision of tours to the Highlands and Islands was very helpful and enjoyable for us.
