This central Victorian hotel is on the edge of central Llandudno and 220 yards from the seafront. The Broadway Hotel is a family run hotel that has been renovated in most areas.
Score from 333 reviews Very good
Location is excellent, price couldn't be beaten. Especially as breakfast was included
The bed could do with a new mattress, quilt, pillows and linen. I slept fine and many people probably would. But for some this could be a sticking point.
STAFF WERE VERY GOOD . BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT .ROOM COMFORTABLE AND CLEAN . GOOD EXPERIENCE !
Nothing to fault
Beds were veryyy cosy! Lol
Nothing to dislike tbh
Dirty carpets needed hoovering in the entrance hall and the stairs going down to breakfast - probably why it only has a 3 star rating - bedroom was clean
MY WIFE HAS GULLET CANCER AND HAS DIFFICULTY IN SWALLOWING. THE STAFF RESPONSE TO ENSURING SHE GETS FOOD SHE CAN EAT EASLIY IS FANTASTIC.(and if you are dining in the steak is as good as you will get anywhere,(best bit is its about half the cost)
Love the location of this hotel and its modern room. Also was very cheap!
I didnt like that there wasn't any wifi in the rooms only in the reception.
the rom in the annex was clean and comfortable, if a touch small, but we also got breakfast included. It's 5 mins walk from the venue, and 2 mins into town from the front. We literally wanted a room just to sleep in, so this was perfect. Staff all very friendly
cheap.,very clean, lifts, decent food at breakfast
early check in fee before 1500 hrs (voluntary)
Staff helpful and friendly. Service excellent. Accommodation brilliant
The room was good the staff helpful
Couldn't get a meal at 2000hrs , No Breakfast. If you run a hotel its for the guest not the owners.
Having been to the Iris once before we decided to book again for my partner's birthday. The location of the hotel is brilliant for shopping and socialising. The views are fantastic. The staff were pleasant and friendly. Breakfast was lovely, and bigger than last time we visited. The hotel was lovely and clean. We will visit again. Thinking of later in the year.
Be careful when booking your room, we booked a superior sea view room as it looked lovely on the pictures, and we had stayed in this room previously, with seating area next to the window so you can enjoy the views. The room we got was a sea view out of 2 little windows and there wasn't a seating area. A chair next to a desk. The room was also a lot smaller than shown. We questioned this with reception and was told we were in the correct room. it wasnt the room advertised on the website. We were basically put in a much smaller double room with a sea view and they called it a superior. All the rooms advertised in pictures are misleading.Just double check what your booking. In the end we didnt let it spoil our stay, we had a lovely weekend away.
Wasn't told we wundnt be in the hotel iit self . was put in the court yard in a building .
the hotel is five minutes walk from llandudno railway station, the hotel is really clean, the bedroom was lovely and tidy ,the food was very nice and reasonably priced, it has free Wi-Fi, the staff were very friendly and polite and nothing was a problem if you asked for anything.
The location and room were excellent and the staff, especially in the restaurant, were lovely
The location couldn't have been better and the staff were lovely.
The place could do with a lick of paint and the annex room may have had a double bed in it but the headboard gave away the fact it was originally a single. It was cramped and stuffy but clean. All I can say about the cooked breakfast was I'm glad it was free. Overally it was fine for one night at what we paid but I'd think twice about going back.
the breakfast mmmmm
Nearly getting electric shock, the people who stayed previous must have broken the head lamp side of bed and not told staff so when I turned it on it blew the lights in our room but the staff sorted ASAP even at 10pm thank you
Staff are very friendly and attentive. The view from the bedroom was a must to see, even the seagulls came to visit!!
All was great, fab location for exploring. Nothing too much trouble for the staff, attentive at breakfast, but not overpowering. Will return very soon.
Location excellent good breakfast
The location was good as was the breakfast.
The bed was very uncomfortable. Dinner had to be pre ordered and consumed between 6 and 7.30pm pm we chose to go elsewhere.
lovely hotel very peaceful and relaxing good breakfast . Seemed a little understaffed at dinner but food very good need a sea view room to get best experience especially if travelling for pleasure
Seafront location, value for money evening meal
The length of time we had to wait for our evening meal ! They said it was because they were busy, but there was only 6couples in the resteraunt ! Very nice when it arrived
The room made up nice staff friendly
