The Ivanhoe was clean, comfortable, has good facilities and the food was great. The accommodation was very reasonably priced. No hesitation in recommending to others.

The location is ideal considering its only 10 mins drive from Belfast city centre. I booked at the last minute, not the website, but literally, and it still turned out affordable and cheerful, very impressed indeed.

I really liked the helpful staff, those who greeted us at night with a welcoming smile, the breakfast waiter and a very nice chatty gentleman who served us lunch at the bistro. I loved the spacious bright room and bathroom. (bathroom lighting beautiful) I liked that there were little packets of biscuits to have with the tea. Nice touch. The room was very cold, especially on Saturday night and there were no extra blankets on the shelf. I would have liked the RTE channels on the television. An individual independent light switch over the single bed would have been beneficial. A larger/more prominent sign indicating exit at the side would also help. I didn't notice it in the dark and drove out onto the road via the front. That said, I enjoyed my stay and would return again.

On-site off-road car parking; close proximity of garage/minisupermarket/off-licence/restaurants/fast food outlets: 400m or less. Very quiet Traffic into town at rush hour, but that's normal. Just leave earlier or later to avoid the worst of it.

Nice room Very unhelpful and unsympathetic staff. Lost my card key and the night porter didn't know how to cut a new one, so offered to hold the door open for me (so I could see without lights) while I got ready for bed... Suggesting I spend the rest of my stay in the dark without electricity. Not exactly the luxurious experience I had intended or paid for. Fortunately I found my card key. Also, I wasn't told that I wasn't allowed to bring food from outside premises up to my room, due to "cross contamination risks". I was only allowed to order from the room service menu, which had been closed from 8.30pm. Didn't think this was very fair as we arrived late and hadn't eaten. When I brought this up to the manager the next morning, I suggested that they mention this policy in the hotel guidebook or something. I received no sympathy whatsoever and was told that it's common in all hotels - something I've never heard of before in any hotel I've stayed in, and I worked in the Park Inn Hotel for 18 months. The management said it was my own fault for not eating early enough - again, telling me when I can and can't eat doesn't exactly fulfil the luxurious experience I had sought after. Felt more like a military camp rather than a 3 star hotel. Really disappointed as I loved the place anytime I've been there for a wedding etc.

The price The fact that the rooms were cold and despite asking the staff to put the heating on, the radiator did not warm up until we were checking out. The rooms are clean but need updating. The description is a little ambitious as the hotel is not quite as nice as it seems in the photos. We had booked a twin room and got a very small double which was obviously meant for one person. My husband asked for the twin that we booked and we moved rooms. It is too far from where we needed to be, but nothing in Belfast is ever that far away.

The room was satisfactory, with enough space. Breakfast was well served, the staff friendly and accommodating. When we needed info about Belfast, they were more than happy to help us with maps and directions. We were looking for a twin room, but were unable to get one as they were full at the time. The TV did not show any world news, and repeated the same local news again and again. There was one night when a party was a little loud, but the noise did not last too long.

Friendly staff. Good service. Nice food. Draft beer. Ample car park. Only a few hundred metres to the Park and Ride into Belfast city centre. Situated at the side of a busy main road. Very loud traffic noise at night if windows left open

Accomodated our needs to book in at 0230. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was very comfortable and of a high quality. Bathroom and room spotlessly clean. I would recomend the Ivanhoe to anyone. Thanks for your hospitality.
