The convenience of the hotel for where we needed to visit.
There wasn't 'to anything I didn't like.
Location very good, food excellent, staff very obliging. Would stay there again.
Carpets in public areas look very tired and need replacing. Overkill on reminders to register the car in the car park!
service in the dining room
Had stayed with you before when my son had his wedding reception there which was lovely. Room was nice, comfortable, clean. Enjoyed our stay.
Breakfast was ok but dinner the night before was not good. I complained about the lamb which was overcooked and tough but just had a 'sorry' from staff. Our friend was charged for a bottle of wine which we did not have. Not a good experience.
Stayed overnight whilst on a motorcycle trip of the area with friends. Good size car park and felt fairly secure for the bikes. Good size hotel, nice little outdoor bar area as the weather was scorching.
Room was hot with no air con but I don't believe this would be an issue as temperatures were unusually high the night we stayed.
The hotel was clean and tidy the room was nice and big with a big comfy bed,the staff were friendly, breakfast was so tasty. All our needs were met my husband had arranged for roses to be in our room on arrival and they were along with a vase.
The bacon at breakfast was a little underdone for my liking, but that's a personal thing. I also could hear the rooster from 2.30am onwards so didn't get the best of sleep.
Plenty of parking. Good sized rooms. Beds comfy. Food good. Free internet access, although you do have to ask for a code each day.
Some staff need smartening up. Shower needed a proper good clean.
Location very good. Good facilities - nice to have somewhere to sit in the evening.
Our room was large and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, and the hotel was situated in the heart of the town.
Spacious bedroom and bathroom, with first class comfort and facilities.
The staff are always friendly and helpful. The bedrooms airy and comfortable;the restaurant efficient and appetizing.
dray man arrived at 5.30 am and was very noisey, when I complained the staff were very dismissive
Location very handy for town and training venue.
room not clean and overall standards have fallen within the hotel
staff in restaurant and bar were extremely friendly and well qualified for their positions. The receptionist in the morning upon checking out was nice pleasant.
The heat in the hotel and bedrooms was unbearable. When checking in the receptionist was unfriendly and quick to pass a comment on our slowness to think of our car reg which we had only just purchased, I found that behavior rude and unacceptable. The receptionist in question badly needs to up skill her customer service manners. Perhaps a receptionist course might help her to treat and greet customers with more respect.
position close to town and easy driving distance to other attractions. Comfortable and clean room, staff very helpful.
Disappointed that drinks machine in room did not heat up. Bar was so crowded one night that we couldn't get to the bar to order bar meals, so had to go out and find somewhere. Also we did not know that bar meals weren't served on Sundays.
No tea-making facilities. Being in the dining room and subjected to a loud conversation between a local guest at the next table on one side of us and a waitress 10 feet away on the other side of us. Room too hot even with radiator off and window open. Constant noise from the central heating (boiler or pump).
The beds - very comfortable! Staff were friendly and pleasant.
Quality of bar food very good Good value for money Friendly staff Comfy bed
Hotel very warm. Heating was on even though warm sunny day. Bedroom hot even with windows open
Comfy Beds, good quality pillows, bed linen and towels. Pleasant staff, the majority of them very friendly.
Restaurant food, the evening meal (fillet steak) was very poor quality on the first night so we eat out for the remainder of our 4 day stay. Hotel quite tired and shabby and in need of painting in a lot of areas.
Easy to find location. Pleasant staff.
Lack of green space.
Can't speak highly enough of all at The Ivy Bush, all staff highly trained and helpful, plus, they even allow the dog ! , we love it here, have stayed many times, and plan to continue, thank you Ivy Bush
Location & staff were both very good.
The food in the restaurant was very disappointing. It was bland and the meat was tough even though it was supposed to be well done.
the room was very big with a lovely bathroom
thought there might have been a hair drier
