I liked how we where made to feel at home and comfortable,Micheal the owner is a lovely man and helped us out, telling us where is good to eat and events tht where on to make our visit more fulfilled. Will definatley visit again...also he sure can cook! Breakfast amazing and rooms very clean and comfortable.Love all the trinkets and pictures gives the house character and something to look at.
There was nothing I wasn't satisfied about best b&b I've been too ..
friendliness, helpfulness and comfort as well as a very nice breakfast, location of premises and parking facilities
Good welcome from host.Location was good but not within walking distance of the main shopping area for us oldies!!
The room took a while to heat up on a dull November day. The host was not keen to take payment by credit card although it is advertised as a possible without charges!!
Friendly and hospitable host
Had a great stay at the James Cottage. The owner, Michael, was very friendly and welcoming. He even went the extra mile to drop off charging brick and cable left behind at the distillery he knew we were visiting. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family.
We only had a one night stopover but the room was clean and comfortable and Michael, the host, was attentive and very helpful. Breakfast was excellant and the location is ideal being close to the town centre.
Easy to find and good location. Very good cooked breakfast. Spacious shower, though a little high to step out of when wet.
ready for decorating and updating, also far too cluttered with bits of everything collected over too many years.
Room lovely, breakfast delicious, welcome very warm and friendly! Location is superb as central to everywhere! Would definitely stay there again!
Lovely accommodation, warm welcome from the most charming host, and a great breakfast.
The owner, Michaelv, runs it single handed, and runs it very well. It has a very homely feel to it. It's clean and well located and Michael is a gem. Has lovely well tended garden too.
Minor point, I got a different breakfast to what I ordered but he was so nice, I didn't say anything just ate and enjoyed!
We enjoyed the easy going atmosphere comfort and good food
Michael was a fantastic host! Gave great suggestions for dinner and where to go from Crief
Couldn't connect to the wi-Fi - actually okay to stay disconnected!
Good size bedroom and ensuite with plenty toiletries . Nice breakfast . Very welcoming !
A lot of personal bits and pieces in dining room can make it feel crowded . Not for everyone . !
Michael Lynch was the perfect host, very knowledgeable about Crieff and the surrounding area. He sent us to Drummond gardens with a free voucher, recommended the Glen Turret distillery, visitor centre, Christmas shop and excellent eateries in town (the highlight being Yann's). Breakfast was excellent quality and plenty of it. A very attentive host who couldn't do enough to ensure that you enjoyed and made the most of your stay.
Not being there long enough to have a beer or three with Michael.
Rooms were very comfortable, private, breakfasts excellent and our host very helpful with good advice on what to see and where to eat in Crieff
We didn't stay long enough, will have to visit again!

Comfort, Clean & the best breakfast i've had while staying away
I could find no fault with this guest house
Excellent location Friendly host Excellent Breakfast
We loved the wonderful atmosphere at this very old Guesthouse and we all felt very welcome. Michael was very helpful and gave us advices for the best way of going home without traffic jam. The room was excellent, the breakfast was delicious, we all (family with 2 kids and 2 dogs) spent a nice time here and had a very good night sleep. We really enjoyed our stay here and sure will come back for another stay.
Staff were welcoming and catered to our every need.
The friendliness and genuine concern for the welfare and comfort of individual guests. Michael is the ideal host, and it feels like home. The restoration of the 200 year old house has been done sympathetically and you sort of wrap it round you when you go in. Free, safe parking right outside the door. The breakfast was great! The conversation was stimulating; fascinating facts emerged, but you have to be patient!
Nothing really - you must never expect Claridges in a small(ish) B&B
Friendly owner Meals Accommodation Good size bathroom
Being very hot we couldn't open windows any further for fresh air. No air con No fan But not many B&B,s have them either
Excellent accommodation and the host, Michael, very helpful in helping us get the very best from our holiday. Would return and recommend to all my family and friends.
