Very good sized airy rooms with extremely good quality linens . Which I must follow up and find out what brand they use. Men's sauna wasn't working and selection of single malts was sparing

We were looking for a reasonably priced, comfortable and convenient place to stay in the area for a family wedding. The Royal Berkshire proved to be perfect in every way, and the price through Booking.com was particularly attractive. Finding the tea and coffee making set proved a challenge, as I thought the box in the wardrobe was a safe! Otherwise couldn't fault this hotel.

An excellent hotel set in beautiful grounds. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment which meant the bar was out of commission. The rester aunt was very attractive and the menu first class. It was close to top golf courses and Ascot race track. An ideal venue.

We have stayed here before but gather now its under new management. We had a wonderful stay although did feel the prices for a sandwich were rather extortionate £8.50 for a chicken salad sandwich with small salad garnish and a few crips seemed expensive.

Good alround Hotel and location for my requirements. Breakfast choice etc was very good. The Hot section though was not hot, and only warm at best, I did mention this after my first breakfast, but was no better on my second breakfast. Absolutley the worst Bread toaster ever used in a hotel.

I am afriad that the thing that let the hotel down was my room . It was very close to an air conditioning system outlet in an atrium. The noise level was disturbign right through the night. it souded as if a tumble drier was on inside my room, and this nosie was constant. I had a very disturbed night sleep.

Only stayed very briefly for one night as we had a family event in the area the next day. Efficient and polite reception and waiting staff and a charming atmosphere. Rooms were well appointed. Our only slight complaint was lack of hot water for showers in the morning. Overall a good place to stay for us and our teenage children.

Relaxed atmosphere, beautiful surroundings. Breakfast was lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful. We had to move room because of a problem with noise from the central heating but this was dealt with in a very friendly and efficient manner and we were in another room within 15minutes.

Staff worked hard (and succeeded) at making us feel at home. Interrnation in flavor but well-trained and attentive. Would stay here again even if other (more exotic) locations were available - thanks! No room service, but I see no way to fix that. The phones are not great. Soap was sparse, but available. Overall, amenities made sense for the cost, and things were fine.

Very comfortable if a bit formal high quality hotel. Comfortable beds, high class cuisine and perfect location. Good food but very overpriced, fairly basic wine list dressed up to look impressive but far too expensive for the wines on offer and £8 for a cider and an orange juice is over the top. Leisure facilities very dated, a good clean up and service on the shower might help and the pool (tiny) needs updating, sauna is in men's changing room (as I assume the women's is in theirs). Generally speaking, if I wasn't looking for the leisure facilities, I'd go again, if I wanted a pool and sauna, I wouldn'T.

Unfortunately the hotel was out of order for our stay which was disappointing as it was a main factor for our choice of hotel. Also, the hotel was fairly empty and many staying had children and consequently the restaurant and bar were empty and lacked atmosphere. However, the hotel is very comfortable and the bar and restaurant areas are lovely, the bar area is cosy and perfect for lazing and reading the Sunday papers in front of the fire. The staff were excellent, very friendly , polite and eager to make our stay enjoyable so our thanks to the team. It will be interesting to see how this hotel develops now it is owned by the same company as Pennyhill park.... Lots of potential. The stay was enjoyable, shame the fitness facilities are lacking. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Ps great wedding venue!

Great hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Bedrooms are clean and comfortable although when it's hot, you can only open the windows 6" but there was a fan in the room which helped.

This was our 3 rd visit so we had gone back due to our previos experiences. The check in staff were extremely friendly and ave us a great room. Also the restaurant head went out of hr way to accomodate our selected choice of food. Th fact that at booking time no on had told us that there as a huge wedding which meant the hotel had been completely taken over. We wer trying to have a quiet romantic weeknd away from our bery busy livs and the 2 did not really compliement each other. Had we been tol about he wedding we may not have booked the hotel.

We were there for a wedding which was at the hotel. Being in the same place as everything that was going on was fantastic. The guests had a BBQ Wedding Supper which was absolutely gorgeous and a good alternative to a set meal. Location for photos was lovely and breakfast the next day was perfect. The only negative i would say is that bearing in mind this was the home of the Horlicks family, famous for it's malted hot drink, we only had one sachet for our bedtime drink!

I enjoy staying at the Royal Berkshire the staff are helpful and friendly. I have a lot of friends living in the area so the location is important to me. I also find it convenient for Ascot and access to the train station. I find the plumbing and bathroom facilities clean but a little old

“A very relaxed way of checking in and out. As i had already paid i was just given clear and simple instructions as to how to find the room and to find the key to unlock etc. Checking out was just a matter of putting the key through the letter box of the main house - easy. I would definitely use Bluebell House again” Kevin, Yeovil |
