The location of the hotel was good for what we wanted. It was close to the train station, as we wanted to visit Bath and it was within a 5 minute walk of the habour so we could eat and drink into the evening in a lovely location. We were on the 5th floor and the elevator would take ages, especially in the morning. |

The comfort and cleanliness was first class. Close to the places I wanted to visit, and the wonderful nightlife Bristol has to offer. |

Interesting hotel with plenty of history. Rooms are comfortable, the restaurant / food was a delight with a menu that was just a bit different and staff that actually seemed pleased to serve. |

Staff were pleasant at all times The predominance of stag party culture and noise resulting in that. |

The position of the hotel was just right. The attention of the staff was very good. The restaurant food was very limited we would have liked more choice. |

Helpful, thoughtful, pleasant and knowledgable staff. Cheap poor quality loo-paper. Awkward layout of car-park: it is a bit much to have to pay extra for such an inconvenient car-park in which my car was scratched twice in 4 days. |

Bathroom was small, pool and gym was small, hot breakfast buffet was cold. Didn't feel we had value for money, or that the hotel warranted a 4 star rating |

staff at reception was well trained restaurant staff lacked training and motivation, this was noticed on both dinner and breakfast. it has all the amenities of a 4 star hotel but somehow there is no sense of luxury at all. |
