Excellent location 5 minutes' walk from Bristol Temple Meads station and 10 minutes' from harbour and city centre. Recently refurbished to a very good standard and excellent value for money on a Saturday night. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I liked the room and the layout, I liked the shower but not the power of the showerhead which I found to be quite weak. I ate in the restaurant and unfortunately was disappointed with my meal. I opted for a chicken burger which at £13 was a bit on the pricey side. The chips were not very nice and the chicken burger didn't live up to its expectations.

the location, close to the city centre and close to A4 the breakfast, Wifi and parking included in room price because the hotel changed name it was difficult to locate, even with the GPS as there is no street number. the cleanliness of the room was not in line with what one could expect from a Double Tree hotel : toilet seat was not sealed when I arrived in the room and toilets were not properly cleaned (troubled water).

Staff at hotel were very friendly. Both reception and bar staff were helpful. We ate in dining room an although we arrived late the staff were still attentive. The set out for breakfast was not easily accessible. To reach some of the hot food at the back one had to walk around the other side which was dangerous because of many electrical wires.

The hotel was in the process of an overhaul and name change, i can see it being a very good hotel under normal circumstances, though we had issues finding the place due to signs on the building saying a different name (we drove round it 3 times before discovering the two names were the same place) than our booking, and car park works noisily starting around 6.30am.

This hotel had full refurbishment to a very high standard completed about a week before we stayed. So, everything was new and sparkling! We made a booking for 2 adults and 2 kids about 2 hours before we arrived. The hotel had no room to accommodate all of us together. So, they offered us a second room next door for free. Free on-site parking. Warm cookie on arrival. Great contemporary hotel reasonably priced. Initially we've made an attempt to book this hotel over the phone on the way to it. It took at least 15 minutes to get to the booking department which was somewhere in the US. We were unable to make the booking due to very rude person with poor English taking the call. We had to stop and book via booking.com which took less than 2 minutes. It took over 40 minutes to get a cot and another 20 min to put it together! However, in our experience it is a problem in most of the hotels. The ceiling is low! So, to take a shower you'll have to bend if you are taller than 1.90m. A typical English breakfast: we expected a bit more variety in a 4* hotel. The cutlery looked cheap and worn off. The high chair was very dirty. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Rooms were lovely, food was very nice. When the booking was incorrect they upgraded us to an executive suite. Took the hotel three times to get our rooms right!? We were twice given twin rooms when we had ordered kings.

Staff were very pleasant and made us feel welcome. Room was clean and well kept. It would have been nice for them to e-mail saying that the name had changed from the Ramada to the Hilton. We spoke to several of the guests and they felt the same. We also had several taxis and we had to ask for the Ramada as they hadn't been informed either. Our stay wasn't spoiled though it was just a minor irritation at the start.

The Staff were really helpful under very difficult circumstances. The rooms will be fine once the building work finishes and the snagging is completed on all the things that don't work. At 8pm on Saturday night they took speedy action to upgrade our room and throw out the noisy, drunken members of the stag party. The Hotel was being fully upgraded and should not have been open to guests. It was complete chaos and certainly compromised the safety of guests (staircase unlit and cluttered with building materials, fire doors jammed open, toxic fumes everywhere). I am astounded that the local council officials allowed this hotel to operate under such conditions.

There was a lot of building work going on and I am sure it will be very nice when it is finished To be quite frank it was like a building site and if I had known would not have stayed there. I submitted comments to Customer services via your website voicing my dissatisfaction. I did receive a reply but it did not answer all my points. I am still waiting for a response to my email.

Breakfast was good. There were two people staying and only one large towel and one small towel. Check in took too long. Big queue of people paying for meals. Foreign and needed explanation. Only one person in reception.

Friendly staff. Large rooms Some odd things like the sound of a ticking click just outside my room which could not be explained. The kettle could not be moved from its stand and the lead wasn't long enough to reach a plug.
