when i arrived i was welcomed warmly & quickly after my details were confirmed i was offered a room with a balcony which made it a bit more special for my partner she loved standing out on it seeing the castle view at night the tram works were a bit noisy at times outside but nothing to do with the hotel |

We were celebrating my 60th birthday and viewing our son's degree exhibition at Edinburgh's college of art and sculpture prior to his graduation. The rooms were rather smaller than we might have liked but overall very good value for money |

Best views from the restaurant, excellent location, walking distance from train and bus stations and tourist bus stops, good shopping arcades around and many eateries to suit budget. excessive variation in the room tariffs over the four days stay! we paid up much more than our London hotel stay for 4 days. |

we arrived on a wet cold mornong, we were allowed into the room at midday, this was much appreciated and meant we could rest for an hour before sightseeing all afternoon/evening. Our room had a castle view, alas the noise from tram works on princes st meant we spent very little time there. lifts were slow , it seemed as if only one worked at a time, |

The staff were really friendly and kind, they all made us feel very welcome.The food was excellent. Yes the hotel bedroom (677) was too hot even with the fan they provided. We onlt stayed for 2 nights if we had stayed any longer I would have asked them to change my room we did mention this to reception.Perhaps the hotel is ready for refurbishment. |

The staff were friendly and were very helpful. The restaurant was very relaxing and had excellent views. The rooms were small, and so were not good value for money. Car parking was in city car parks, quite a way from hotel and a struggle if you have heavy baggage. Cost for car parks was prohibitive. |

Well placed for site seeing, and central to all amenities. Sheets were not changed during our 7 day stay, found room not dusted on arrival. Safe in room would not work. Noise bad due to tram works. |

Easy access to public transport and The sights Road works going on outside room all day but in particular all of one night of our stay. Also a meal taken in restaurant for a party of 11 was very poor and the supervisor was not helpful. Would recommend for proximity but not for food |

Comfortable bed; non-smoking room; great shower; convenient to bus and train; perfect for visiting sights. Never vacuumed. Had to ask for toiletries as soap, shampoo, and body wash not replaced-even when depleted. No face cloths available. Poor toilet flushing. |

I thought the location was great with views looking over to princes street gardens and the castle from the dining room. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good also. As a family group we were all given rooms on the same floor. It appeared that only one lift was operable during our visit. |
