Bar stayed open for a good long time our room was executive double and was very nice and very quite even though it was a very busy weekend. Its a satisfactory place to stay in my opinion. I wasnt mad on the breakfast though it was edible. The mattress on the bed had seen better days should be replaced. Its a fair enough hotel though.I did overhear that the showers can be tempremental room to room, ours was perfect. |

Nice, atmospheric old hotel with character, away from the main road. Not too busy on the weekdays I stayed there. Normal TV works without having to pay for films. I couldn't work out the bath/shower arrangements - the choice was either a very hot bath or a cold shower but I couldn't get the hot water to come out of the shower. |

The staff were very helpful. This is the 2nd time I have used this particular hotel and I find it has a relaxing environment. Convenient for the airport and the city centre. |

Great staff, breakfast plentiful. Bar food quick and good. Breakfast served from 730 and hot stuff generally not till later. Had to miss it 3 of the 4 days due to work. |

Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Good location opposite Murrayfield Stadium very well served by public transport. In need of updating. Paint peeling in places and mould in the bathroom but bed linen and room clean. |

The staff at the hotel were friendly and willing to help in anyway they could. Service was excellent, but unobtrusive and my stay was very enjoyable. |

I like the hotel because it is quiet, it does not feel like part of a chain, the staff are efficient, obliging, personable, the pictures on the wall are real, the food is good. Restaurant service is outstanding - done properly. The wine list is unusually good. The swing door at the entrance caught me on the rebound and my nose still hurts. This was not strictly a fault of the hotel, but rather a fault in my technique. |

Heating system very noisy, toilet had not been cleaned prior to occupancy, various fittings broken and specific request for adjacent rooms (I was travelling with my 17yr old daughter) were ignored. Fittings in the room were 'tired' shower was loose and overall it was all a bit shabby |

All staff were very friendly. The bar/lounge area was very pleasant Bathroom had mould on the ceiling and the breakfast left a lot to be desired! It ran out very quickly, took a long time to replenish and was only just warm, despite burners underneath. |

The food was excellent, real value for money. The services was good as well. Easy to find, not badly located. Not sure if we would stay again unless it was refurbished through out (needs new decor). I guess the price reflected the accomodation. There is a large competition base around the murreyfield stadium so would be einclined to try else where. |
