Mercure Glasgow City Hotel

The room was so small I could not even walk round the bed. The staff were not very friendly. The room was not as clean as I would expect. The bed was not comfortable. Way too expensive for what it is.

Everything was very good. The breakfast was very good.

Location. Secure Parking for motorbike.

Noise from The Corinthian Casino/Night Club next door which went on till 0500 hours.

Staff very friendly and welcoming. Central position of hotel so easy for shopping.

Far better than other Glasgow hostelries (One was as unfunny as Lenny Henry !) Great staff , we felt really welcome and the bed was fantastic.Smoked Haddock to die for.Very Central. We'll be back.

The team at breakfast were fantastic - so customer orientated and eager to ensure we had an enjoyable breakfast - they even picked up the newspapers for us and made my wife an omelette!

Trying to locate the carpark - we thought it was in the hotel - it was actually out the back via a alleyway - it was cheap for guests (£6)

Could hear people chatting in surrounding rooms early in the morning.

Was a bit noisy but is only to be expected with the location and people coming in from the pubs and clubs, nothing earplugs wouldn't sort out

Good location (near George Square, train stations and shopping streets), friendly staff, reasonable price.

Rooms are really small, as is the lobby.

great location well equiped rooms clean and modern

only downside was do not have a room 507-511 they are at the side of the hotel 30 feet from a nightclub which is open till 06.00 which in itself was not a problem but they have a roof top smoking area which is exactly level to the 5th floor windows so its very noisy
