The hotel staff were all very friendly, dining room staff made everyone very welcome at breakfast time and could not do more to help. We booked this hotel in preference to our usual Holiday Express Theatreland because there would be no parking charges, both hotels were the same overnight accommodation cost. However when we booked out at reception in the morning we were charged £6.00 for the overnight parking, this was not mentioned when we booked the room.

Everything we needed was in place including 24 hour reception which was essential as we did not arrive until 5am for check in. They also had private carparking available which is essential in city hotels. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. The room was very comfortable and user friendly.

Was a lovely atmosphere, nicely designed and sheek! The room was a good size and the bed was one of the comfiest I have every slept in. Thr shower had great pressure and good tenperature. We booked online and prosumed that the bill had already came off the credit card which it had been paid on which was my parents so I then had to pay the bill of my card.

The location was very central, close to the shops, bars and train station. The room was far too hot. The cold water tap ran warm and was undrinkable. It was very noisy.

The central location is good for rapid access to shops. The rooms are the smallest we have ever had in Europe. Although the (friendly) staff said our room was "really quiet", there was a discothèque not far away that had people out talking till 3am. We did not sleep well and were relieved we'd reduced from three nights to only two. This is not the usual standard of Mercure hotels and we are very surprised and disappointed by Mercure. We will not come back.

Fire Alarm going off twice in the middle of the night which turned out to be a ales alarm. Staff in charge were very disorganised. Heard that this was a regular occurrence on checking out. No apology provided.

Good location for City centre shopping, Theatres, Concert Hall and Eating places, though many were overpriced. Good Scottish breakfast. Room was to hot(even with radiator turned off), with window open the noise of revelers went on nearly all night, making sleep difficult. Felt it was a little overpriced.

The central location of the hotel is excellent. The staff were very friendly. Expensive for a 3* hotel, but it is in the city centre so I suppose this is what you pay for. The room was ok but it was very noisy, not only outside but with people banging doors and using mobile phones in the corridors at all times of the night.

Despite being in the middle of the city centre, there wasn't much noticeable outside noise in the room. Rooms were well presented and overall the hotel delivered on everything you would expect within this price range. 1) External signage is a little hard to see at night due to not being illuminated and being relatively small. 2) Parking area behind the hotel is a bit of a let down, a lack of marked spaces makes it a bit of a free for all, capacity at best is less than 20 vehicles so parking isn't guaranteed - this could be advertised better. The carpark could do with being levelled off in places unless you like wading through the odd puddle.

From booking in, the staff were nice and very helpful, it was no problem for them to get me taxi.s or phone numbers, my room was spotless and had everything I needed, although I only stayed 1 night, I would certainly book the hotel again, It was a most enjoyable stay, and it all went smooth,.

The location was ideal, one block from George Square on Inram Street. The hotel is close to bars and restaraunts as well as the main shopping on Argyle Street. It is not a huge hotel but a big enough to have good faclities. The hotel advertised a car park but on arrival, there is no sign of the car park and you can't stop in the street outside to find out where it is.
