In the Cotswold village of Frampton Mansell, The Crown Inn is a 17th-century ‘cider house’ with log fires, traditional home-cooked food, locally brewed real ales and good company!

Score from 141 reviews Good
No Lift Room was not made up as two singles .No extractor fan in bathroom Windows dirty Afternoon tea was not served up well,
Staff where very helpful and pleasant. Meal in restaurant was good.Free WiFI,
If you get Room 203 - just say NO.Room looks out to carpark, by the smoking area - so you get all the conversations, Single bed was on wheels, so moved as I moved. Was woken at 06:10 by noise of generator, or something. Not happy, as I stayed there solely to get a lie in before meeting in Gloucester. Gym facilities -are dark and tired
My friend treated me to a spar treatment, which I really enjoyed the young lady was so nice and I had a fab treatment. I can not remember her name but she was from South africa. Also our meal on Friday night was very nice. Staff on reception were very efficient and helpful we enjoyed our stay
Just the bar prices were a little high.
Comfortable bed, quiet, good shower, nice breakfast
The location near Robinswood Hill was easy to find. The Breakfast was good. We could have eaten so much but we had to save ourselves for the Family Lunch
We ate in the main dining area at the same time as a party had their dinner on the centre tables. Their voices were so loud it caused a headache. The accoustins on the walls seemed to amplify the noise. Our room was overlooking the air con ducting. Such a shame because the view down the drive opposite the ski slope was so good.
Nice food, pool and staff
Different levels and no lifts so could be a problem if you have mobility restrictions
check in not until 2pm which is fine however room was not ready until 15:40 - no apology offered reception staff just very matter of fact. lack of customer service on all counts
peaceful.. away from traffic
housekeeping only gave us one time of mineral water, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shower gel and soap.. and we were staying there for 11 nights! they never refilled. one time, they did not empty the trash bin in the bathroom, dirty towels were not removed and did not give us toilet paper..seems that housekeeping dis not bother to enter our bathroom.
The room was large and comfortable, the hotel calm and friendly. The pool facilities were excellent and a godsend after a very long trip with two small children. Location was ideal for visiting other areas and the food plentiful and very well cooked.
Couldn't fault the hotel or it's staff.
1) Nice room with good facilities and view 2) Easy parking 3) Good Breakfast and other meals 4) Swimming pool 5) Nice staff 6) We stayed 4 nights and slept well
1) Air con in lounge too cold but they did turn in down when we asked. Other guests said the same.
Evening meal well cooked
Soulless atmosphere in public areas. Breakfast was cold.
Strange hotel.New housing estate being built right next to it.Family rooms are adjacent to the function suite,so either leave the kids at home or take good earplugs. In the restaurant I ordered the chicken liver parfait. it was crumbly, like cheese and tasted, weirdly, of cheese.Strange hotel.
Swimming pool to crowded
In the 5 days we were there the front desk staff very seldom smiled or greeted us when they saw us. There was always something left undone in the room when housekeeping came. Their work was very shoddy. We paid a premium for our room and we never had any internet during our entire stay. We never got a newspaper delivered and generally for the price we paid, the service and amenities were very disappointing. We travel extensively around the world so have a lot of hotel experience and I would never recommend Hallmark to anyone.
Booked a suite and then received a call the day before our stay to advise that they had overbooekd and we were the ones to lose out. Offered us an exec room with champagne and chocolates but got a fairly standard room with sparkling wine and 5 chocolates. Really disappointed as booked for a special occasion
location & fitness centre
Pillows hard & very busy with groups (Golfers & Spa Weekenders). Wanted to charge me £15 for 12noon check out £5 to rent a towelling robe in the fitness centre
Excellent leisure club and swimming pool.
Hotel location and room allocated
Great staff customer service. Very Comfortable. Good food. Clean.
Swimming pool more a leisure pool rather than having lanes. Due to location of gym & pool, not ideal having half naked people walking through bar & restaurant whilst your eating your dinner!! Coach parked directly across main entrance whilst loading bags, blocking safe passage in/out of hotel.
Spa facilities, plenty of parking
Hotel interior generally tired. Unimaginative restaurant menu with long delay in service. Room not properly cleaned.
The restaurant was particularly good we both enjoyed a very good steak did get ignored upon arrival by a member of staff (Kathy) until we ordered champagne! Other than that excellent experience was our 2nd visit and there will be a 3rd!!!
Desk staff were very helpful.
Food was below standard pork Wellington, pork was over done and the pastry was raw on the base. Half chicken was ok. Breakfast was all pre cooked and divided to eat out.
The staff were helpful and it was clean. On one occasion, the dinner and breakfast were excellent, but disappointing thereafter.
The map of Gloucester was useless and caused us to waste valuable time. The decor was tasteless, particularly the striped carpet. UGH! Described as Spa Hotel, it was misleading as the pool was in a separate busy Leisure Centre.
Bed and shower
No air condition and little access to air. Noisey as car park was close to the room
the area the hotel is situated and facilities were good . restaurant was very pricey for the amount of food you were served however the breakfast was good and staff very accomodating
our double room overlooked a building site which we were not informed about when booking and work continued over the weekend so no long lie in for us .
After a very long day that started at 3am and involved various meetings between Newcastle upon Tyne and Gloucester, it was great to end my day in this hotel. I heavily rely and WiFi and the connection was reliable, the room was comfortable and welcoming and the staff excellent.
