The spa was great and lovely building.
I can't think of anything.
The pool. The view.
Shower badly cleaned. Basin cracked virtually in half. Chairs sagging and worn. The TV malfunctioned. House keeping needs to be much sharper.
Clean with good facilities, plenty of parking available. Very pleasant staff
Had to ask for milk twice for tea and coffee facilities in the room
all the staff and leisure facilities and location
Loved the swimming pool, sauna etc.
First night our sleep was disturbed by people talking across adjacent balconies.
Room was sufficient abd the breakfast was excellent.
Beds too small and the deco was looking very tired.
We were attending a family party less than a mile away so the location was ideal and the price was reasonable. Despite being busy welcoming a wedding party we were impressed with the friendly and efficient reception as well as the courteous and helpful bar staff. Our room was spacious (we've had one before which wasn't!), airy, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking too.
Being woken up in the early hours by a fire alarm (though rather that than being burned) -- especially as this was the fourth hotel this has happened to us in. Also the lack of Sky News - an oversight when Al Jazeira came through loud and clear.
excellent position as ideal for dog walks in the superb country park. Hotel situated in the country but all amenities close at hand
breakfast was too expensive
Broken and cracked tiles in bathroom, damaged plaster, stair carpets threadbare and split. Seriously over cooked burger, pretentiously presented.
Location 20min bus from outside to Leeds centre & set in wildlife country park Very efficient & friendly staff Excellent breakfast
Bed wasn't very comfy 2 singles together with seam Parts of hotel still bit run down, undergoing refurb eg bathroom & swimming pool Some rooms noisy when weddings on
Quiet, restful location yet convenient for other destinations.Reception staff polite ,helpful and efficient Breafast and breakfast service
very poor and slow restaurant service which ensured I only ate there on one of three nights .Lack of bedroom storage for more than a one night stay.No towel change on third day.Only limited pool access due to lessons.
Staff and pool were excellent.
Hotel was a little on the pricey side.
The staff were brilliant. At any time of the day or night, they never lost their sparkle, friendliness or willingness to help, they were chatty and happy to share their knowledge of the area. We dined twice in the restaurant (breakfast and tea) the breakfast was as you would expect... hot, tasty and a good variety. The tea was delicious and faultless. Definitely worth the money. I also had a back massage and my nails done. The massage was incredible (iv never had one before) and my nails looked beautiful. The hotel itself is stunning from the outside and for the most part its lovely (if not a little loved) on the inside. They most be doing something right as we booked an extra night on our first day there, which was done at a very reasonable price.
The weekend we went it was very very hot. Unfortunately the room we were in was too. With one very tiny window we had no way of getting any air circulating and it really spoilt what could have been a very nice sleep (the bed was very comfy). After asking we were provided with a fan (but it just wasnt enough). To depict how hot it was a full jug of ice cubes melted in two minutes (at night). No matter how much water we drank we both became slightly dehydrated and at 1 in the morning I took refuge outside to get some air.Again the bathroom was very preloved and definitely needs work. (We were staying in st chads). I also ordered a baileys and at £4.20 for a mouthful felt the price was excessive, but this was the same with the softdrinks, they were a little overpriced.
The staff were friendly and professional. The room was warm and snug. There was a happy crowd attending a wedding reception and all were clearly enjoying the day, which reflects well on your staff and added to a very sociable stay.
The price of drinks are a bit too high, even for a hotel. The weather, but can't pin that on you guys.
I personally enjoyed my Sunday morning swim and sauna
The helpful friendly staff. A very comfortable room and free wifi.
Not too keen on a buffet breakfast but it is common these days, the food was fine.
Swimming pool and leisure centre Friendly helpful staff
Not enough tea and milk in rooms
Perfect hotel for a stop over before flying from Leeds Bradford. Excellent, FREE gym facilities and clean and spacious room.
no privacy due to no net curtains on rooms overlooking outside public areas
The bed The swimming pool
It's tired. It needs money spending on it
When we were unhappy with the initial room they changed us to another as soon as they could and we only spent one night of our 6 nights in the dark room. We were given a room at the back of the hotel facing Golden Acre Park, which was lighter and had a balcony. Except for the housekeeping incident we found the staff to be attentive, but not overly so, and of pleasant disposition. We did not upgrade to the faster WiFi and found the level provided free was quite adequate and as fast as we get in Ireland. The breakfasts were as good as one can expect from mass catering and were of sufficient range to cater for most tastes. All in all after the initial disappointment we were very pleased with the hotel and intend to stay there again,
Initially we were given a room that faced the inner courtyard which was dark and it was difficult to get any ventilation in the humid conditions. We had expected, or had thought, we would get a room with a balcony when looking at the brochure. We did for subsequent nights. On one occasion housekeeping knocked and entered immediately despite the fact that the 'Do Not Disturb' (Shh I am sleeping) sign was on the door. This could have been embarrassing.
Staff help .+H/Driver and fan .It was v/hot w/e.
No lift. No air con
location near open countryside. City centre easily accessible by bus. Good breakfast choice. Very polite and helpful staff.
