We arrived at 12h with an infant (1year old), "Carole" at reception told us no way to get any room before 14h - we waited, and at 14.10 got the card for a room at the basement, where the walls were just under painting works. The room was open and messy, no one was in there - so I went back to reception to ask for a cleaned room - while my son was crying at the basement - "Carole" said she sorry, but we have to wait further 20min for finishing the cleaning, and she cant give another room.
I went back to the basement to find the cleaners, she called a young tall lady from the stuff who was much more helpful, and offered another cleaned room quickly.
To pay for all TV channels is also new for me, anyway I can live without it, but this long waiting made me unhappy about this accommodation.
Im an Accor Club member, and visiting their Hotels for more than 10 years, but never experienced similar disapointment in Mercure Hotels
