Upgraded room was well worth it, 302 has lovely views of the gardens and was clean and very spacious. Free movies, internet and choice of music albums all included was a nice touch. Very comfortable bed, slept like a log even with an Xmas party going on downstairs. Lots of choice for breakfast The staff, Barrie in the restaurant and Diane on reception in particular, they made our stay perfect. Highly recommended
Staff were very helpful and most pleasent ...Place has a nice welcoming atmosphere would stay again ...Great value for money
Nothing i didnt like
Quiet room (requested). Plenty of comfortable seats in public/bar area. Very knowledgeable and pleasant lady who greeted guests at breakfast.
Breakfast coffee was disgusting - self serve from a push button machine. Tried the americano but not recognisable as a coffee so tried the espresso which was merely a smaller dose of the same liquid. Scrambled eggs tasteless.
The room I was put in was above a function room where i was unable to sleep due to the bass line of the music which literally shook the furniture. When I complained, I was told I would have to wait until the music finished at 1am. Unacceptable.
Convenient for the airport, reception staff helpful
The food was among the worst I have had. Overpriced and poor quality. wish I had gone for a big mac. The room was fine but the pillows were really hard, I had to fold a towel up to use as a pillow
Very helpful and friendly staff. The Hotel is in parklands and easy to get to from Leeds.
Shower door a bit mankey and furniture in the room a bit dated.
all staff were very polite, friendly and helpful . Bed in room was very small but desk changed the room very quickly and new room was much better
bed in 1st room very small and firm
Location good for our needs
Have stayed before and had breakfast in our room which we wanted this time but were told it wasn't something they wanted to do unless we it was absolutely necessary in which case it could be done by special arrangement. Hardly hospitable!
All the lesiure facilities where excellent . lovely room
Wi fi did not work for entire stay of 3 .days . if on business would have been a nightmare . I hate buffet breakfast everything dries up . had to order fresh eggs . I think for £100 per night in suburbs of leeds was very expensive .
All staff were great, helpful and caring, especially Nuria who should be promoted. She, and others are a credit to the company.
The bed size could do with upgrading to King size.
The general appearance of the place , exceptional staff- buffet breakfast very nice. Bus stop right outside .very clean and decent size rooms .
The only negative I can supply is no mini fridge in room
The big, easy car park and a very warm welcome. The room was large with a super-comfy bed. Once the fog had cleared, we got to see the lovely view at breakfast.
Bathroom rather tired and the shower was a bit weak.
Comfortable quiet room. Good selection of breakfast items. Very efficient and friendly staff.
Not the hotel's fault, but a bit off the beaten track.
Room looked as if it had been refurbished. Good bed and comfortable seating. Temperature of the room was excellent - not too hot like many are. Staff helpful and friendly. Would recommend the hotel.
Fire alarm going off in the night and not having advice from staff. Evening meals and coffee quite expensive.
Friendly place, nice food
Cost of a glass of wine! And noise from the heating ticking/clicking all night
Nice walk around the back of the hotel, decent pool, relaxing atmosphere.
The lady who told me not to put a croissant in the toaster.
The friendliness of the staff is one of the reasons I will stay again. You were made to feel really welcome, as if you mattered. As a woman travelling alone, I had my room changed to a more secure area, without me asking. It is these extra touches which make a difference.
Not a complaint but the rooms are looking as if they could do with an upgrade. They're a bit tired looking
Rooms, bar, staff excellent
10 minutes late for breakfast and turned away.
Close to national park and nice walks, hotel warm, rooms at back very quiet despite being so near main road and densely populated area. Breakfasts good but dinner menu always the same and no specials. Bus stop right outside for Leeds, 25 mins. Nice views from top floor rooms over national park.Rooms warm, comfortable bed and toiletries replaced daily.Plenty free parking.
Bit out in the sticks, no trains, had always to get the bus in to Leeds, then another to Harrogate or York or the train from Leeds.
Views from the room, walks nearby and the pool facilities
Excellent reception at 11pm was most welcome. Attentive and helpful.
Room smelt vaguely of cigarettes.....??? Studio 6. Breakfast greeting less welcoming. No enquiry as to whether we would like to order a breakfast. Fruit was reasonable. Cooked breakfast at 8am cool scrambled eggs.......bullet like grilled tomatoes.....not great!!! Room good and bathroom though maintenance of shower cubicle needed .
Staff excellent, room spacious and clean, location for the airport ideal.
The bed was very uncomfortable to sleep on, it felt felt comfoy to start, but gave us back ache.
Rooms very clean, good size and we had a balcony. We had a few drinks and food in the bar which was very nice.
When we arrived there wasnt anyone on reception I had to shout through. Also when we checked out we was stood around for a few mins as again no one was on reception. They seemed short staffed. Also the swimming pool is very small and open to the public and on a sunday morning it was took up with swimming lessons at 9am. So we was put off for staying long. Also we forgot to take £1 for the locker and had to put our things on the side of the pool. I think for people staying at the hotel they should be given private access to this.
