The swimming pool. The fact that you cannot access normal TV channels until you have seen what all the pay TV channels have to to offer. I am not interested in watching pornography and I would certainly not pay for it.

Everything was perfect. Staff were friendly and helpful and rooms were clean and comfortable. Although set in 26 acres of ground it was a stones throw from the motorway. A pleasant and comfortable stay. There was nothing we didn't like about this hotel and it deserves to have a better rating. If people read and understood what the hotel provides before booking there would be no need for such adverse comments.

We liked the pool and the room was clean enough The hotel was globally ok but lacking some standing that is expected at this price. The bathroom had a bathtub instead of a shower, and I really hate plastic curtains, thats really low cost standard ... Also the isolation was poor, with a huge gap under the door and slim walls, no real intimacy indeed ....

Within walking distance of Leeds Castle, and its own grounds are pleasant, if you're into birds and trees. And just a bus ride or twelve- quid taxi ride from Maidstone. More a conference venue than a cosy hideaway, but rooms are spacious and airy, and it was perfectly satisfactory as a base from which to explore that part of Kent. Bar and restaurant a bit souless, but there are ok pub-restaurants over in Leeds village, a manageable walk even in the dark. Good gym, but the advertised swimming pool was just 15m, and rather popular with slow swimmers.

It was a quiet hotel on the whole with a very comfortable bed and everything was clean. The staff were very helpful and there was everything we needed there. The doors were quite sqeaky which woke me up which was a shame. Some of the doors banged as well. Oiling the hinges and putting so stoppers on doors so they don't bang would have made this stay perfect.

V friendly staff, comfortable modern rooms. Good place for a conference. Nice pool. Photo misleading, close to motorway and looks like a country hotel but is more like a conference centre, not great location for romantic weekend away.

We always find the hotel welcoming and pleasant however we do feel that the cost of meals should be discounted to residents As above we found the cost of breakfast quite expensive at £10 each so we had breakfast out for much less

Very convenient for castle. Noisy Christmas party guests. Perhaps party guests should be located on a separate floor where they only disturb each other!

Swimming pool very nice I had a very poor nights sleep due to a broken duct on the roof. I did draw their attention to it during the night but it wasnt resolved until the next morning. The response from the customer service team has not been satisfactory, whilst they apologised etc they didnt offer me a refund or complimentary night the best they have offered is a special rate including breakfast which will obviously be dependent on when I wish to stay. I am mindful of premier inn's offer that if you don't get a good nights sleep you get a refund.I Wonder if I had paid full price for the room if their attitude would be different.

Free use of pool and sauna. Leeds castle in walking distance. Thin walls so disturbed by others returning back late. Door only locked if it was slammed shut.

The staff are always friendly and helpful, and it is good to see that the change to Mercure has not changed this. If anything, the restaurants menu has improved, and although is a little bit more expensive, the food was excellent. The room, as always, was clean, comfy and spacious. In all, an excellent stay!
