Everything is absolutely fine , but..........

The peacocks that roam the grounds from neighbouring Leeds castle are a nuisance. They have a very loud call and do not respect the fact that guests would like to sleep at night. Especially at 3am!

The restaurant was good.

No free wifi access. We booked a twin room, but got a double, until we complained. Only the most basic amenities in a very small and cramped room. Looks good but is really budget accommodation.

Rooms not ready..almost 4 hours late. Rooms very small.

Staff were very helpful. There was a problem with our online booking...entirely the responsibility of the management...and they went to great lengths to resolve it. Raechel was particularly charming & resourceful.

Only 4 Disabled parking spaces situated a long way from hotel entrance. Hotel built in 1960s/70s consequently, although cosmetically updated,the facilities & fabric of the building needed updating,eg parts of hotel inaccessible for disabled...& too many steps & stairs, no thermostats for individual rooms, no double glazing & windows sealed shut-impossible to open.

Room was looking tired and grubby had to wait 2hrs to book in as room was not ready

Excellent staff. Helped us to check in early. Very convenient location. Disabled facilities in the room were good. I thought there was a charge for wifi so didnt use it when apparently it was free. Make this clearer. Good breakfast, again very helpful waiting staff. I would use this hotel again.

Used to be a Ramada Jarvis and was of poor quality, now rooms much improved and look forward to staying again

easy to find, good for those using tunnel or ferries, made welcome by the staff, old wing room a bit noisy plus with guests coming in and out, food very good and we had excellent service

Thought the food in the restaurant was excellent, a very high standard. Pool facilities were also really good. All staff were friendly and helpful.

Our rooms were a bit cold.

The reception staff we're really helpful. It was convenient to motorways, Leeds castle, maidstone, Ashford, Dover. It has a swimming pool. its clean and comfortable. As well as great value for money

The breakfast is ok but the food isn't great

The standard of the hotel was exceptional for a dog friendly hotel. We were very impressed and will stay here again. It is miles apart from the other dog friendly hotels and our dog had a lovely time on holiday with us.

The standard of the food in the restaurant was not the best. For the prices some more attention to quality and detail should be paid. The room we were allocated backed unto an employee courtyard and was very noisy!

Room was number 101. Right by the door to the lift and stairs it banged loudly everytime someone came through.

Typical Mercure hotel. Well maintained and friendly staff. A bit pricey with the addition of breakfast and had to pay for the morning paper, which was a bit unexpected. Otherwise, a good place to stay.

Staff seemed reasonable Pool & leisure facilities were fine

Room was not nice Paper thin walls so you can hear conversations in room next door Woken up by room next door alarm clock Hotel had a massive Christmas function on the day we stayed so we had to leave late at night with small kids due to noise levels.(this is despite me asking prior to booking) Overall awful experience do not stay there if you fance sleeping at night.
