The room was spacious and comfy No cot was there as I had booked one, we found that it was not child friendly at all we paid a fortune for dinner in the restaurant and the fish we both had was half cooked, we also paid for breakfast and our grandson ate half bowl of cornflakes and they still charged us £20 so we paid in total £52.50 for half bowl of cornflakes I did not have the heart to complain about the fish batter being half cooked as the staff were so friendly in the restaurant but I definitely would not recommend or stay there again.

The old mill conversion was attractive and the hotel was ideally located. The over-booking problem was the main issue for a chain such as Mercure/Jupiter. Also, room too near the main entrance and noisy guests returning at all hours of the morning or smoking in the no-smoking area at entrance.

We liked the location because it was near to Perth Theatre. Beds were comfortable. On arrival staff could not find our booking. Had to wait a fair while before they found it. Reported no hot water in the shower on the Friday morning. Do not know whether someone inspected it but it was still the same on Saturday morning. There was hot water coming out of hot tap so definitely a faulty shower. Breakfast could have been better for the price paid. It was not cooked to order. Eggs were sitting about and therefore hard. Hot water in teapot not filled up. I think not good to have cooked food sitting about in a lot of grease. Mildew around shower tiles. Could have been cleaner.

The friendly staff. The constant noise during the night. Maybe the AC or internal plumbing system from other rooms. The beds in the room were poor. The noise coming from the shower when in use.

Room was clean and nice. service from staff was excellent, top notch. Breakfasts were excellent. Mill wheel and water in reception, we thought was quirky and kept an original mill feature. Dinner meals were pricey for portion sizes.

Staff were excellent. Thought breakfast was very pricey. Didn't book this due to my husband fishing and not sure when first service was. As it happened we did have it but got shock when we found out the cost. it spoiled our stay.
