It's simplicity. Car park and hotel not immediately obvious and car park removed from hotel.

It seemed to be a friendly atmosphere when we arrived at the hotel, which indeed it turned to be. It was comfortably warm and the receptionist was very helpfuland chatty and put us very much at ease. The hotel was very central which was perfect for our needs. One downside we felt that prices for bar meals, drinks and room services were a bit expensive. I would have felt that in order for guests to enjoy the the comfort and friendliness of your hotel, food and alchohol prices should be a bit more competitive so that people don't feel inclined to eat elsewhere. The staff at the hotel were the friendliest we have come across. From the moment we booked in to the bar staff they were brilliant.A Special mention to Brian and the chinese barman whose name I cannot remember they were great. The downstairs had a relaxing atmosphere, really comfy. Sorry about this but the beds were bloody hard but the room was spoton otherwise.

A good location with friendly staff and a comfortable room. The breakfast ingredients weren't particularly high-quality, and seemed to have been sitting on the hotplates for some time.

I like the situation. I live quite far from Perth but I like to shop there and staying at Mercure makes shopping very easy. It is also a convenient spot to stay when visiting Perth theatre and concert Hall and to tour around the surrounding area. It has a friendly atmosphere and is a comfortable spot to have a good evening meal and relax. They only beef I have is one which applies to most hotels, the tiles in the shower are rarely if ever spotless. I feel the shower is dried after use but not properly cleaned. Disappointing. Mould is nearly always here. An explanation to any foreign housemaids as to the development of black mould due to damp might be useful.

Staff were very helpful. From the outside it looks great, nice bar area, inital impression of the room was good. It was like staying at a cheap budget hotel with all the doors banging at various times of the night and with the thin walls it confirmed that I will not stay again. Bathroom needs updating.

Good location and great parking. Reception staff were most pleasant as were the breakfast dining staff. The breakfast was quite good with plenty of choice and I did get de-caffeinated coffee on request. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Good adjustable shower and easily accessible bath not too deep. Bedroom doors had automatic closing and absolutely everyone banged their doors when entering/leaving the room. The room was exceptionally warm despite the radiator being turned off and the window opened marginally. When we came back to have a drink in the hotel bar, there was no one to serve us and we waited 20mins then left. Other people were drinking and it was before midnight.

The public areas looked clean and comfortable. There were automatic doors at the entrance. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful. The buffet breakfast was passable, but with a limited choice. There is parking for about a dozen cars outside the hotel and it is adjacent to a large car park. It's not far from the cinema, shops, theatre, public transport and the concert hall. It has function rooms and a meeting was in progress when we left. Mercure had taken over from Ramada less than a month ago. There was no double glazing in our bedroom and the bathroom fan did not function. The central heating wasn't working. Only one set of towels provided. No biscuits on the tea tray. The tv set was difficult to understand.

Staff very helpful & friendly . Our lights fused And the problem was very quickly sorted out. Enjoyed our breakfast, plenty of it and well cooked. We were very disappointed with our meal on the Saturday evening - small portions, quite expensive and not very well cooked.

It was a pleasant converted brewery. Clean rooms and decent decor. (Noisy corridors though). Decent breakfast. What you would expect from a mid-price economy hotel a step up from Premiere Inn. Like most converted British Stone walled buildings, the decor is often difficult to finish to a high standard. The corridors and carpets could do with some upgrading, but the rooms are decent.

The room was small but had everything in it. It was the poorest shower we have ever had in a hotel even above bath. The noise on the Friday night was unbareable with a party going on in a room below us untill five thirty am. Cannot comment on the food as we eat out. Would have to get it at a very good rate before we would return to that hotel.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, informative about the city. The rooms were basic but spotlessly clean, I didn't have dinner there but the full on Scottish buffet breakfast is highly recommended and not to be missed ! Overall an excellent stay and good value for money - I,ll be back !
