Nothing of note
Rooms better in an Army Barracks
Location, free parking, a couple of friendly staff that have been there a long time.
Our dirty small room with broken cupboards and sticky tv, on arrival had clearly been set up for three people even though I had phoned prior to arrival and double checked they had it ready for the four of us. There was no tv in the sitting area, reception tried to fob us off saying that Tvs were only upstairs in the town house suites, utter rubbish, I've been staying here for nearly 20 years. I requested a room change and was told they would only be able to email housekeeping and They would contact us in the morning, and they didn't I had to go back to reception in the morning after not hearing anything by11am! Not acceptable. Severe lack of festive decorations in the restaurant used to be so luxurious and Christmassy real dissapointment especially when your visiting relatives at Christmas time to sit in a bare restaurant! Quality and detail simply not here anymore had a real stink of running it into the ground so could be used for redevelopment! Breakfast quality has also dropped considerably, have you been taken over by accountants rather than hoteliers?
Comfortable bed great shower good selection tea/coffee. Staff very helpful and obliging particularly restaurant. Food great value. Parking very convenient. We shall definitely be back.! Thank you.
Tv rather small. Beef in carvery full flavour but well done - no rare! - but you cant have it all!!
The people next to us making a lot of noise about 3.30am banging the doors for ages , that ruined a good stay
Comfy bed value for money good centrallocation
missing hairdryer - not bale to provide one! Not geared up for cash payment
Ideal location situated at heart solihull, close to shops pubs etc
Car parking only a few space avaliable at 7pm
Clean and friendly hotel, perfectly located to Solihull centre, shops and restaurants. Approx 10 minute walk to the train station which has regular trains to Bham.
great place to stay great Xmas shopping 2nd yr and we will be back nxt yr
slow bar service. Taps in bath did not turn on, I advised reception on departure but very little sympathy just "oh". room dated and in need of re-fresh. family arranged Champagne for room on arrival and it did not arrive.
We had a meal in the bar with friends, we each chose a different meal and all the meals were very good. We stay at this hotel often and have noticed the improvements over the last two years, it keeps getting better!
Good general standard of room, bed and refreshable bits very clean - as you would expect. Breakfast a bit expensive, but good standard at £12/head
Room slightly tired, like bathroom looked like it was being pre-prepped for a paint job and other areas like the chair footstool looked like it could do with a good clean. Wifi was pointless as I gave up and switched to my own personal hotspot which was more than 3 times quicker (to be actually usable) using my phone!
Had a studio room with relaxing leather armchair and stool
No kettle bad interference noise on tv
Requested a non feather pillows and new light bulbs. In room when we returned.
Retuned to the hotel for coffee after dining just before 2200. Could not get coffee in the bar as they had shut the machine down!
Location near center and NEC
Breakfaxst was £12.00 online but £9.90 if you paid or arrival unable to get refund or explanation
Friendly informative staff, very comfortable room
Building/rooms all need upgrading..
Friendly, helpful staff. Very close to the shops and bars. Great value Hotel and would stay here again.
Found groundfloor room 51, cold even with the radiator on full.
The hotel was lovely , the staff were very friendly & helpful & the location for the shops & nightlife was great.
The rooms were very nice but ours was quite cold even though the radiator was turned on.
I loved the location, the hotel was excellent, we stayed in a suite with spiral stairs to upper floor bedroom, felt like home from home, with settee and armchair, table and chairs and an excellent 42 tv, also tv in bedroom section, (although tv upstairs was not there on arrival, but one put in straight away.
one complaint was the noise from Dance area. We were quite away and yet could hear the thumping up until about 12.30
Only positive was the location
After a long busy day we wanted to return to our room and rest however, it was like trying to sleep above a nightclub. Both nights the party's down stairs were so loud you couldn't sleep through it. The room was booming with music until 1am each night. The staff said "you can sleep after 1am' not helpful!!! Wouldn't stay again. The hotel was more like a 3 star than 4, very basic, uncomfortable beds. Much the same a travel lodge. In fact had a much better sleep at the travel lodge!!!
So near to touchwood for shopping which was the reason for our visit. Bar was nice but noisy. Lots of Christmas parties going on.
Rooms were very dated. Carpets in our room needed a clean.
Room, Location, afternoon tea, breakfast, staff in the restaurant all excellent.
Reception staff, first greeting "are you alright there?" what's wrong with "hello welcome to ramada inn how can I help you?" Couple of staff in the bar told us we can't sit in the restaurant it would be easier for them if we sat in the bar area this after we had been seated in the restaurant!
easy parking, an easy stroll into the city centre. Great pub next door for a bargain, lovely brekkie!
The room was very warm, had to get up in the night and open a window in December! Not sure how it would be in the summer months.
