Good,
Score from 275 reviews
“ Situated in the country park area the location is countryside in the city. Pleasant staff and good housekeeping ensured room was cleaned every day and the little problem of the room key needing to be reset was dealt with to our satisfaction immediately. Room was very comfortable and warm with a view overlooking the lake. ”

staff good food excellent service location relaxed atmosphere while the pool and spa bath were nice the spa element of our break was disappointing, we were unable to contact the beautican until the afternoon of our 2nd day and were not able to get an appointment. fortunately the hair dresser was more accomodating and all of us got our nails and hair done

We liked the fact that we didn't have to be out of our room till 2.00pm, which gave plenty of time to relax and not rush. Normaly you have to be out by 11.00am. The route we had to go to get to our room. The one way was really long and the other was a lift upwards then a lift downwards. We found it really confussing at first.

Staff in all parts of the Hotel were courteous, friendly and helpful. We had breakfast in our package which was of a very high standard in a relaxed atmosphere. Noise of the doors slamming at night, especially on a Saturday night if a function is on. We couldn't get any sleep last Saturday night as a wedding disco was taking place and people kept coming and going at all hours. I am not a party-pooper, but the doors definitely need sorting out. I do appreciate though that they have to conform to Fire safety/Health & Safety standards.

The pool although area around needed repainting. Breakfast was pretty good. The ridiculous!!! TREK via lit, stairs and LONG corridors to get to our room quite a few other guests stopped and asked us the way to reception and also moaned about it.In pictures on internet looks like lovely lake around hotel but you cant get at it to enjoy.

Leisure facilities No water- I was having a shower at 11 pm and the water ran out half way through rinsing! Reception explained i5 was due to being next door to the water tank - however I woild have thought being next to the water tank would be a bonus of being the first room to have constant water not running out first!?

Easy to find in a good location. The room was freezing as the central heating wasn't working. The telephone in the room didn't work so no wake up call available. We were booked by yourselves into a suite so cost us more money than if we had booked directly with the hotel.

The grounds are great and the staff in the restaurant are brilliant. The gym equipment could be updated with more state of the art equipment. Very large hotel which could with a few more supporting signs of where to go as the structual design is not so straightforward. We had a great time and it is driving distance to the nec and good value for money. The internet was not working at the time as required as someone changed the settings and seeing that you are paying for this service it should have been fixed.

Great location good restaurant Bad service - we'd booked an adjoining family room x3 weeks in advance but there wasn't a room available for us when we arrived, we were simply given x2 separate rooms which was no good as we have very young children. We were eventually squeezed into a family room for x3, with our kids having to share a bed. This room is in no way big enough for a family of x3 (let alone a family of x4) The facilities in the room were also poor. The lights in the main hall part didn't work and the TV didn't work either. Also, the radiator was broken and pumped out heat all night. We called the reception to help us turn the radiator off, they said they'd send help, but never did. This meant that we had a VERY uncomfortable and restless night. My brother was also in a family room on the other side of the complex and he had a similar heating experience, so I assume this problem is hotel-wide, rather than just our room. All in all, a very poor experience and we couldn't wait to leave!

The food The rooms. Room 3 smelt of damp Room 229 had a large bed made up of a single bed and a double bed screwed together.....The only problem was, the single bed was 3 inches higher than the double bed. the showers were cold and the water in the pool was cold. All in all, a horrible stay.

I stayed 3 nights and the hotel was very busy because it was the bank holiday weekend. The staff were friendly, had everything under control and looked very professional. A couple of very minor issues were sorted very quickly and without a fuss. All in all a very pleasant and enjoyable stay Booking.com failed to pass on the correct details to Ramada. If I had not phoned up to check my booking. Ramada would not have known that a second room had been booked. Poor showing on the part of Bookings.com

Staff where friendly The hotel is very shabby, the first impression on the drive up to the reception is wow this is a nice place, your hopes are soon dashed on the 7 mile trip to your shabby room. Hotel is tired and for the last 4 years is in dire need of redecoration. For the money you will pay the Premier Inn is far better value, steer clear of this one.

I was overcharged from the rate I booked. As I didn't have to hand my booking confirmation I ended up with a argument. The overcharge was for the dinner rate that was included.
