The Vineyard is set next to Lamberhurt’s vineyards, looking onto the pretty Kent countryside. This charming inn features a restaurant, rooms with terraces and lovely gardens.
Score from 56 reviews Fabulous
With an 18-hole golf course and a leisure facility, this hotel is a luxurious base close to Lingfield Park Racecourse. Bedrooms have free Wi-Fi and some overlook the racecourse.
Score from 178 reviews Very good
This Victorian hotel overlooks the scenic Royal Tunbridge Wells Common and is a 2-minute walk from the town centre.

The Camden Arms Hotel was built in 2007, a new building on the back of an 18th-century coaching Inn, opposite the village green in Pembury.
Score from 150 reviews Fabulous
location. Club sandwich
carpet, dark garden when I opened the window to get some air at night. Noisy corridor.
Very comfortable bed, clean and good value for money.
One very unhelpful member if staff with awful attitude and sadly she was the first member of staff we meet. Room on the ground floor was incredibly noisy and disturbed sleep.
Limited tv station choice
Great location, quiet but close to Tunbridge Wells and free car park. Friendly staff, spotless rooms, comfy beds, soft bed linen, fabulous breakfast and lovely warm pool.
Amount of waiting at reception, when you got busy their was no extra staff, bar staff didn't know how to make Liquor coffees and had run out of Gran Marnier
Food in the restaurant was good, but there were only a few things we liked, so went elsewhere for dinner our second night.
Some facilities in the shower room didn't work properly; extractor fan and body bars. Room too hot. TV too small for size of room. Twin room (for two) but only space for one chair.
The ease of getting there and parking, the bus stop outside getting into town centre. The staff bent over backwards to assist you, and the free wifi is a bonus. I will rebook if I am in the area.
We were attending a wedding so did not stay in the hotel for long. However the room was comfortable and the Sunday breakfast was good value.
My husband and I stayed here with friends during August. The hotel is conveniently situated to visit National Trust properties. We never used the leisure facilities so can't comment on them. We felt that this hotel was a similar standard to the Premier Inn group.
A few things in our room (ie sofa) seemed a little shabby. We paid the extra for a priviledge room which in hindsight wasn't worth the extra (bathrobes, slippers and paper). Also, the towels were useless to dry yourself. I think the kitchen staff needs increasing, as it took a long time to receive food at breakfast and the only evening meal we had. The waiter/waitresses did their best to keep things moving against great odds at times!
Confort, swimming pool
Skills of staff (bar / restaurant) to improve. Does not know exactly what's in the menu, how to pour a beer correctly.
The room, the pool, the jacuzzi, the breakfast.
Nothing to dislike
Its location. The room Good bathroom Nice bar Nice check out time 12.00 Good breakfast apart from the eggs
Scrambled eggs Toaster was intermittent and caught light while we were there No air conditioning We were the other end of the hotel from our travelling companions
Excellent hotel, in great location, food and service first class
Reception staff very efficient and friendly Bed and pillows very comfortable.
Breakfast was a disaster...lack of staff, lack of food and lack of seating. For hotel food it was appalling. Waited 35 minutes for a cup of coffee.
Room was too hot - no air con, no fan
The location is convenient for Royal Tunbridge Wells and there is ample parking. Staff were friendly and attentive. Would only recommend for a cool weather stay...
Unfortunately, it was quite warm when we stayed. In the room, the heat was almost unbearable. No ventilation whatsoever, other than a window that only opened slightly. The restaurant even had heating on...the party that we had were seated adjacent to a hot radiator...not pleasant.
The receptionist was very helpful did her best to locate assistance to our query she was unable to provide any fans, this was not her fault just an exceptionally hot summer and hotel was unable to cope with demand, she did however find someone to help in way of renumeration.
The welcome to the breakfast room was not welcoming, snapped at by the head waitress, probably because she did not have enough staff, however not a great start to the day, waited ages for coffee, no juices available, not the best breakfast, especially as we could not sleep and getting ready in a very hot room was not conducive to putting one in a good mood.
Excellent room and friendly check-in staff.
No safe in the room.
Free WiFi Loads of parking Very helpful staff Good price
We returned to the Mecure Tunbridge Wells, after staying there several years ago when it belonged to the Ramada Jarvis group. We loved the look of the hotel & the location was ideal for visiting Hever Castle.
We were very disappointed with the attitude of the Receptionist on arrival & departure (same one). Quite abrupt, acted as if it was all too much trouble & tried to charge us extra for breakfast when we checked out! The room was tatty with mildew on bathroom tiles and chipped furniture. Kettle/mugs etc. were found inside top of wardrobe much later, instead of being on show ready for a much needed cup of tea upon arrival! The attitude of the restaurant manager the following morning was extremely poor. We were greeted with "what room number" and shown to a table for six people as all the twos were full of dirty crockery. The juice coolers were almost empty & this was only 9.30am (they serve till 10.30am) We were not told to help ourselves, not offered tea/coffee until we'd been there a while and when helping ourselves to cooked breakfast, I asked a waiter if they had any fried eggs & was told they could cook me one! The problem with this was that the rest of the breakfast on my plate was now getting cold whilst waiting!! All in all, my husband and I were very disappointed with our overall stay as we were there to celebrate our Pearl Wedding Anniversary and relive some good memories of our previous visit. I would say that the hotel & service have gone downhill badly since we last stayed. We shall not be using the Mecure chain again.
Room was very hot, pillows very hard. Insufficient towels left for 1 morning. TV didn't work properly after first night. Couldn't choose a film of choice as menu wouldn't work. Hotel needs an update.
Road was very noisy at night and the hotel was extremely hot. The quilt covers did not cover all the quilt nor do up and the sheet on the mattress didn't cover the bottom of the mattress which wasn't reassuring. Very very uncomfortable nights at this hotel.
Very unprofessional staf poor breakfast very old fashioned rooms far to expensive for what you get, I cannot believe that this is a 4* hotel
Staff are a real credit to the Mercure group & are really helpful & accommodating. Room service food was good, breakfast ok, son loves the pool. All in all makes what could be a difficult time easier.
