The hotel is set in beautiful surroundings on the outskirts of Gloucester. It is an ideal location for visits to The Cotswolds, Cheltenham, Bristol and Monmouthshire. Rooms and public areas were comfortable and clean, and being an older property, Bowden Hall retains some personality and features lacking in many chain hotels. The menu was varied and food tasty and well presented, including some local produce. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and a credit to the Ramada organisation.

A country hotel with lovely grounds, very convenient for Gloucester. We enjoyed an overnight stay on our way to Devon, ideal!.The evening meal was good as was the breakfast. The pool, although small, gave us some relaxation after a long drive.

Exelent relaxing one night stay with family. Staff were extremely friendly and courtious, dispite other comments, the pool, sauna and other leisure facilities were far better than we had expected, and deffinately appreciated, considering the Bowden hall dosen't sell it's self as a spa hotel. We chose to have dinner in the restaurant, where we found the menu choise, service and food quality to be very good ,however, perhaps a little pricey. Good self service selection for breakfast.hot and taisty.( Great SAUSAGES).Would definately return again. Avoid rooms 320 & 321 if possible constant sound of some sort of motor all night, however, when we mentiond this to reception they with out any problem or fuss offerd to move us to another room.

My wife ate in the dining room and said the food was good and service excellent. Problem in locating reception from room 336....it appears directions are shown on the doors, but as they were all left open it took us over 5 minutes to get downstairs. The lack of a lift will mean that we will not be staying there again.

It was handy for the party we were attending in the village. Nice setting and good breakfast. The decor is a bit jaded and our room was very hot and stuffy. Couldn't open the window! We ended up moving into a disabled room!

Nice room. Pleasant hotel. Breakfast was poor. Big queues to get self service breakfast. Lots of waiting staff milling around who do not even bring toast to guests. Have to queue up to use toasting machine whcih takes so long breakfast is cold by the time you get it.

Visited the local area... Pool and Fitness area... there is limited gym equipment which is in the corridor on the way to the pool. The changing rooms are a joke, this is not what I was expecting at all.
