Good,
Score from 249 reviews
“ It was excellent value for money, well located for our trip to Watford within 10 minutes driving from Watford town Centre and Warner Bros Harry Potter Studio. Rooms were clean and comfortable, staff very helpful and the Breakfast was particularly good. The health club was an added bonus, clean and relaxing. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation. ”

Not a great deal however there really is nowhere else to stay near by. The staff where rude and had no time when checking in. There was a generator near my room that kept me awake most of the night. The rooms are over prices for what they are and for people staying and travelling on business,

On check in we were told there was a slight problem with the tv. Reality was there was no tv at all. I did raise this on checkout but was told you should have been told sorry! Wasn't impressed!! Whilst we were being checked in the phone rang and we then had to wait whilst receptionist dealt with that instead of us! The rooms were incredibly hot even with all heating turned off. Wasnt given my room invoice on checkout

We stay there so we can go to the monthly motown disco but dont always as the rooms are not cheap enough every month its hit n miss getting a cheaper room than usual Nothing really other than the price of the room being more than we want to pay and then we still have to pay to get into the disco it would be nice if we got a bit of a discount to the disco as we are staying in the hotel

Good location. Easy to find. Good directions. Over priced food and drink. £5.25 for a pint of gunniess is day light robbery. £15.00 for a burger is also too expensive. This should have been no more than £10.00. Rooms small and cramped. I prefer a shower to a bath. A shower attachment is no substitute.

A receptionist whose mother tongue was English and could therefore be clearly understood. In room extras. Lavatory system so old that cistern filling took forever and therefore disruptive at night. Second set of towels more hidden than an Easter Egg hunt

We stayed in this hotel as it was an ideal location for 'Harry Potter World'. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable and the linen and towels were spotless. The spa area was also clean with helpful staff. This hotel is excellent value for money.

The whole hotel was a delight I stayed there over 15 years ago and it still is a good clean and warm hotel. The pool was ok until it got busy and I enjoyed the sauna and steam room. Bed was comfy and the free movies with my rate was ok although they did try and charge me for it. But I would stay again The breakfast was poor standard the sausage was tasteless and the eggs watery. The bacon and was dry. Overall the breakfast was cold and just lukewarm. I left it. The bar was freezing with the air con blowing cold air and I did not get my newspaper that was mentioned on my Privilege room tariff.

The rooms were clean and tidy and the reception service was very good. The mattress was uncomfortable and although there were two pillows they were extremely soft and felt non-existent. The cost to our family for breakfast would have been £40, this is extremely expensive for a breakfast, fortunately there was a McDonalds next door. Upon leaving two members (one male driving and one female) of staff drove quickly up the side road beside the hotel, hooted at me to clear out of the way and my wife who was further up the road was narrowly missed. I went around the corner to speak to the individual but they had already entered the building, must have been late for work? It was a silver car, on the smaller side.

I had to move rooms 3 times - 403 426 and 232 because of the noise. The T.V. didnt work properly or the cold tap in the bath at 426. I was given an adjoining room together with a huge group of school children hammering on the doors at 6 in the morning and 10 at night and later in the week a noisy party of ladies celebrating a birthday. There was plenty of room in the hotel so I cannot understand why I was allocated these rooms. I was visiting my Mum in hospital and needed some peace. The fire alarm went off twice. I was charged a different price 6 mornings in a row for breakfast even though I had the same food - coffee and toast only. I left the hotel exhausted. I would appreciate a follow up with some form of explanation / compensation as I paid £500 for 6 nights plus meals and room service.

Staff were quite friendly and the pool was ok. The room and hotel in general was very dated and quite tatty for the price. Our room looked as though it had been bodged during construction and was not what I expect from such a chain.

Swiming pool, parking and access. Heating did not work in our room and staff we spoke to did not understand our concern even though they did suppy us with a free standing heater. This resulted in the room being very cold on our return each day/nigh/tmorning x3. We have stopped several times over the years and usually have had excellent service so as u can imagine this stay was below the standard we expect.
