Mercure York Fairfield Manor Hotel  

I was very impressed with the standard of accomodation and service for the very cheap price. My company is currently working in the area and all my staff will be staying at this hotel. Excellent value.

Very disorganised breakfast lovely when we got it but no fruit juice in machine then no glasses available had to ask fot them etc

Enjoyed the stay .staff very welcoming .room very spacious clean and neat .the jacuzzi was a treat after a long day in the city .we did not eat at the hotel though the prices looked reasonable. There was nothing to fault the outside.inside.staff.and room.

The hotel was fabulous.The staff were friendly and welcoming.The morning breakfast was excellent.The decor of the hotel and rooms and cleanliness are above par.It is a very calming and comfortable hotel.They attend you every need.

We loved everything about the hotel. We had a two room suite that was fantastic and had doors between the rooms not just a half wall divide. We did not opt for the breakfasts; instead enjoyed the cafes in York. Everything was clean and the staff were quite nice.

The shower curtain was almost against the side of the toilet. The hotel may want to invest in a glass door (or even 1/2 glass door) to make it easier to keep clean.

Lovely hotel, excellent service both reception and restaurant. Comfortable rooms.

The double bed was two singles put together, not very comfy when sleeping in the middle of the bed.

Spacious lounge and room. Bar. Modern bathroom. Nice seating area outside the hotel, almost in nature. Free parking. Easy access to York by park & ride 'rawcliff bar', only 1 mile to drive. The bus stops right in front of the york cathedral.

At first we got a room, which smells, as if it was a smokers room before. There was an airwick stick put into the electric socket, which didn't take the smell. The next day we complained at the reception. We got another room which was absolutely okay. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was okay but not outstanding. Apart from the classical english breakfast there was no cheese for example,so that if you have breakfast 3 times it is rather boring.
